Woot. I\'m on the high scores! I think I draw better on the oekaki than I do with pencil and paper. Mostly because I press too hard with the pencil and it leaves that \'trench\' in the paper and it\'s very visible when you go over it again... None of that with a computer drawing... Of course, with a mouse, it\'s hard to get what you want and yeah... Blah blah blah.
Well, I mentioned you as an example of the people I actually know that draw on this board. As you may, or may not know, I don\'t know a lot of members, so you were an obveus choise
You\'re right about the \'artists being percieved as different than what I think\' thing.. Alot of the threads here are about sprites. And yes, sprites from scratch is an art..at least I think so. Giving X black armor, or putting X\'s head on Zero\'s armor, isn\'t art though.
You hit the nail on the head with that one Hollow. My idea is that you should not customise other peoples sprites. I kind of think of it as theft (in a way), seeing that you take someone elses work and put your name on it. Sure it\'s good, or moderate practise, but I still wouldn\'t claim it as my own if I made one.
Still, sprites are a form of art after all, like everything else that you can produce. I think the best way to describe the word art is a label for something that was really well made. Ceers to the artists of IO
The world is a flaw in a perfect nothing...
