That isn\'t a reason to go to war. Unless the United States goes and topples every single dictatorship out there, it\'s merely an excuse to try to be a means as to justify what was done. Otherwise it\'s obvious the war wasn\'t done for the sake of the Iraqi people, that it wasn\'t for the good of humanity.

Unless weapons of mass destruction are found eventually, the United States really shot themself in the foot with this one.

Bush wanted the oil. No more, no less. The UN found nothing there, although I bet they moved the weapons of mass destruction to another country.

Blair has blown the Labour party to smitherines. Everyone will vote for Lib-Dem, now. They have NEVER been in power so only time will tell how well they will run this country.

Anywho, This war sounds more like a dictatorship, to me. Forcing US men to their doom. It\'s a lot like the \'big push\'s during WWI.

Sounds as good a reason as any to me.

Whoa whoa whoa. Hold up. this isn\'t Bush\'s fault. He just happened to be unlucky enough to be president during
9-11. he didn\'t do anything to provoke terrorists. We just have to face it. There is evil in the world, and there probably always will be. We should be glad that there are people willing to die for tyranny.

Sometimes, though, I hate Iraq. I shouldn\'t, but I do. We came in there and saved them, and they grenade our soldiers, who aren\'t even attacking the. I saw a newspaper ad a while ago. It said \"Peace is Hell\". I hate to admit it, but it almost is right about now. We just have to bear it. Pointing fingers won\'t do anyone any good.

He cheated to get there, though.

Who gives a Fick? Either way, the US is fucked up. I think it just has to do with the post-coldwar ideology and the events that \"ensued\". Of course there are fuckhead states out there as well as terrorists, but I think they\'ve somewhat caught bush with his pants down. Oh yeah, and driving drunk and doing drugs ain\'t necessarily an excuse to never become head of any state, IMO. And, the myriad opinions evey person on this planet has about society in general. And with that, you\'d expect us all to live in harmony?

Gore wanted to take away all our guns. We wouldn\'t have hjad a chance. Everybody hates bush because he has done drugs in the past and been caught drunk driving. He sounds like a normal person right? Thats what America needs is a normal person in the white house.

We survive fine with no guns. At least there can be no snipers attacking school kids at school, that way.

Only if it\'s a civil war. Otherwise, you don\'t go to war because you don\'t like who is running the country and what they do, unless they pose an actual threat to anyone. Or if they attack you first, but that wasn\'t the case here.

If the United States really cared about liberating the Iraqis, why aren\'t they lierating people of other nations with dictators?

----------

Windrider, personally I don\'t see the harm taking away guns would do. But, I live in a country with stricter gun regulations and control than you do, and most people I\'ve met, don\'t mind. Mind you, most people have no need for a gun here.

The US isn\'t ...messed... up. Sorry, I\'m a nonverbalist.:D

The US may be a little off the ball right now, but we\'ll bounce back. And even if we don\'t, we\'ll adapt.

Sorry to be so optimistic, but I\'m a nonverbalistic optimist.

And yes. Crime is big. Crime is definately on the outbreak.:(

Yeah, what Necro said. >.> I couldn\'t think of the words..X Prime sucked all the political debating blood outta me.

But anyways Windrider, I know this topic is about the soldiers. But like I said, they wouldn\'t even be there if the government just wanted to seek revenge on the terrorists. They still haven\'t killed Hussein or the Al Quaeda or the Taliban or anything..it\'s kinda a losing battle right now. So I just think they should get our soldiers outta there, let things settle and regroup. *shrug*

So yeah, power to the people and all..but they shouldn\'t even be there, and it\'s not fair. =\\

Of course, I\'m just scratching the surface though..there\'s many more perspectives to this than just the USAian one.

That\'s Canada ;) You can\'t go to your local armory to get a gun, or something like that. The process is much more regulated and complicated. Why would someone need a gun, anyway?

Yeah, yeah. And the irony of the soldiers\' death because of their leader\'s actions. Anyway, I\'m not the one who veered off topic. But yeah, that\'s one of the worst aspects of any war in general. But the greater the war, the less people we\'ll have left on this planet. Hence, less people making hell on earth ( So long the people left to live on the planet don\'t live under any screwed up regime or by some psycho leader )
