cool. looks like Final fantasy 11 though.....

Whooo, Nomura\'s not doing the character designs. Don\'t get me wrong, I do like Nomura\'s art, but it gets overused, I think. I think Vaan looks kinda strange, but that\'s not a big deal. Most FF characters appear strange at first. He probably just stands out because how much of his skin you can see..

I\'m looking forward to this game.. will be the newest FF game I\'ll play since FF X. I haven\'t tried Tactics Advance due to a lack of a GBA, and likely won\'t play X-2 and XI.

Beh. It looks too much like FFX. I don\'t think the characters look too involving. I\'d be suprised if it turned out to be any good.

But sometimes, I like suprises.

I think I might pick it up when it comes over. The whole Ivalice thing sounds really cool. I hope this one is set before Tactics Advance. And the thing with Vaan sounds like Ramza. Thats a high point.

I\'ll rent it if the skies part and it somehow falls into Movie Gallery.
The love stories never used to be so important, and even then, they were... more romantic, I think. Does anyone remember thepart in FF3 where the girl in the basement has a disease, and was it Locke that tried to go and get her some kind of potion to make her live forever?
Uh... my memory\'s fuzzy.... anywho, my point is, when the characters are sprites, you can read the on screen story,and imagine it happening in your head. Nintendo has yet to develop that, I think.

There\'s one thing that I hate more than my low-speed internet connection and that is character recycling. Let\'s face it. Vaan looks like Tidus and the girl looks like Yuna.

I just hope that they change character models for FFXIII...

Rachel, the girl in the basement didn\'t have a disease. She had already died, but was being preserved down there. Locke was after the Phoenix magicite so he could bring her back.



I personally disagree with Vaan looking like Tidus(though Ashe does resemble Yuna abit), but I gues I can slightly see what you\'re saying. However, I think people will change their mind in time. Before FF X came out, every said Tidus looked like Squall with blonde hair. Tidus actually looked nothing like Squall though, his face looked quite different.

No matter what people will complain. Just watch, by the time Final Fantasy XX comes out people will still say that the characters look like there predecesors (and no, I\'m not predicting the future, I\'m giving an example). Anyways it\'s easier to use basic models than build a completly new one each time.

It\'s needless to say that the characters are going to look similar. If they try to prevent that, the characters are going to start looking bad, and graphics are one thing I\'m not complaining about in the new games.

It\'s some real eye-candy. Great 3-D.

I think the characters look somewhat alike just because they\'re CG. If Squenix would use some good ol handdrawn art again, maybe everyone wouldn\'t look alike.

Well, nowadays, games take a lot of time to develop, so they can take their time to make new stuff or put the same stuff on the shelves...But Square will never do that...atleast, not in the next millenia...
