I like Marvel\'s characters, and someone had suggested I draw Doom. Dr. Doom is actually a favorite of mine in Marvel outside of the Spider-Man cast, so it was fun to draw. It sucks, but hey..

Never seen him though. And it\'s a really good pic, nicely shaded and not very sketchy \'n stuff. Though I prefer manga over cartoon.

Anyways, here I go with my long paragraphs of criticism and happy shiny praise.

I haven\'t seen Dr Doom in awhile, so bear with me. o.o He looks very dull..with the gray all being one color and the shines being in all the same places. It\'s a good brushed metal look though. What\'s up with his skirty thing? It looks pasted on, not as refined as the rest of the picture. The inner part of his eyes looks abit lopsided, yet it looks like it\'s supposed to be that way. o.o There aren\'t any black lines around the cape, but there are on him, so it looks odd.

The overall structure is good, abit of proportion problems here and there but it\'s just a sketch anyways. The feet are done well. XD The general \'robot\' look was done well too. The coloring and shading looks good, you\'re good with solids.

I\'m done. o.o

It\'s not bad at all. I\'d never seen a close-up enough picture to tell what his face-plate looked like.

That\'s a really good pic. You really belittle yourself too much.

Dude! I love that cartoon. It\'s always so funny how Iceman and that fire woman could almost do everything themselves, but they had to throw Spidey in for name value, and he usually just ties up the villains with webbing.

Character from Marvel Comics, but I take it you wouldn\'t know much about that..

Dr. Doom is actually technically a Fantastic Four character, but like all Marvel characters, he shows up all over the place. Thanks for the praise. =)



Thank you for the kind words. I like manga as well, but I\'m also fond of some American comic artists and characters.

Hahahahaha.. I hadn\'t noticed the deal witht he skirt thing until you mentioned. It\'s shame I didn\'t.. oh well. I noticed the deal with the eyes though.. I tried to fix it but it didn\'t want to be fixed. As for the cape not having outlines.. it does, just it\'s hard to see. I changed the outline on the cape to green..I left the grey parts with a black outline because black and gray are related. I thought the end result was funky too, but I couldn\'t get the lineart back to all black.

I don\'t know how long, I worked off and on to the picture, so it took longer than it really should have. But the actual amount of time spent working on it I\'m uncertain of.

But no, I did not take it off the internet. Art theft is a horrible, horrible thing to do.

Thank you for your praise as well. I liked Doom in Marvel vs Capcom 2, but I will admit I use almost every character in the game.

Except Sentinel.

I think the faceplate differs from artist to artist, but never too far from the general idea. I used his appearance in an Amazing Spider-Man comic from last year to get the design from, so if something\'s wrong.. blame John Romita Jr. Yes.

Why is it that I love all the characters people don\'t use?! I liked Skullomania on Street Fighter EX3, and Dhalsim on Street Fighter. I just draw in all the cheapos.:lol:

Well sir, whenever you get a chance I\'ll have to teach you on AIM step-by-step on how to keep your lineart in check. =) It\'s not that hard of a process. And well, you could\'ve made his lineart dark gray instead of black..would\'ve looked cleaner, maybe.. o.o You\'re welcome, too. =)
