Topic: Nintendo\'s New Portable. (Info about it.)
Flop or Success?

There aren\'t enough details yet to say... For those who have difficulty seeing how that thing will look like, imagine two GameBoys (older design) next to each other, and probably able to fold in two by closing in the middle.
If it works or not, it will all depend of the price. Nintendo\'s latest systems are doing great because of the low prices. Make them too expensive, and you\'re dead (that\'s why I see problems with the upcoming PSP).
However, I have to note that this is yet another highly original idea from Nintendo. As far as I know, it has never being done before. I can already imagine many possibilities for such a system...
EDIT: The screens are on top of each other vertically, not next to the other horizontally.

It sounds good. You have a point, Doc, about the price. The N-Gage for example was $300 at the original price. You could get an MP3 player, cell phone, and GamboyAdvance for less than that at that time unless I\'m mistaken, and so not many people bought it, i think. I know none of my friends have one.

Hea. When I get around on buy it, I bet it would be considered ancient. ;^^
Another game system. *shakes head* I wish Nintendo would stop spreading itself thin like that. Making bets that three different systems and games from the same company would have good amount of people playing each of them equally to have a profit? This is also goes to Playstation. Risky... but... I don\'t know.... I haven\'t gone to school and learned Marketing for 3-4 years. Whatever. ;^^
Correction to by other post (which I\'ll edit as well): some more details came out, and the screens are on top of each other. That way, the system could possibly fold in two in the same way as the GBA SP, only wider because of the two screens.

Will it be an upgrade to the GBA? Or a new handheld system altogether?
Also, what kind of games will it be able to play?

I have a feeling Nintendo is gonna get knocked around by the PSP
Much like the Playstation N64 days.
The Dual Screens seems really gimmicky if you ask me. But im looking forward to seeing some games for it at E3.
But most of all I cant wait for the N5. It better have a built in hard drive.

Why is nintendo wasting there time building this when they could make a the gameboy advance better? Or make an internet connection for the gamecube?
If it comes out, I probably won\'t buy it, depending on the price that is, and wheter or not any good games will be on it....

Personally, I\'m not very impressed be the PSP. I\'ve got the material to back my thoughts:
If you\'ve seen screen shots of this overhyped system, you\'ll see that it is unbelievably(sp?) small, with a keychain for scale.
While this may be a good thing in some aspects, it can very easily be lost... It might be fumbly with those of us with bigger hands... The buttons don\'t look at all pressable, and it appears to not be very comfortable in all reality, with it being so thin and small in the hands. How will the gaming experience be? Plus, it hits shelves in around 2007. Lovely.

Zaleon I dont really think the buttons will matter to most people, they will buy it just because its a Sony handheld. Since most owners of a PS2 are total fanboys.
And I am sure more people will buy a PSP if it will have a Final Fantasy game(s) on it.
