Heh, I think you will enjoy this. T for teen. If you don\'t like any killing type stuff, don\'t read this. And, If you are intrested in this, keep checking up on it. I willl keep adding on to it so it\'s like an ongoing story! I only add on after a reply though. \'Cuz I can\'t double post!

After all that happened with the Dark Elf, Zero returned to the base a week later. Ciel worked on his torn body for hours. Finally he was fully repaired. Zero shook his head as he slowely opened his eyes.

He saw someone leaning over, looking at him. His vision was tripled, making it difficult to see anything. He got up and walked out the door muttering \"Damn fool. I knew this would happen. I just knew it.\"

Ciel looked at Cerveau and sighed. \"Somethings wrong, he seems so dozed off.\" *Ka-thunk!* \"Oh my god! Zero!\" Ciel ran into the hall to see that Zero had walked head-first into the door frame of the exit. He was on the floor swaring. Ciel ran over there to see if he was alright. \"Oh my god....Cerveau, he\'s unconcious....\" She shook Zero\'s body and found no response. She took him to his room and left him there. A week had finally passed, and Zero was fine. He was eating breakfast.

All of a sudden, the alarms went off madly. \"Attention! Zero report to Desert sector 35 immediatly!\" Zero got up and ran out to see what was going on.

A guard ran over to Zero panting. \"Puff, Zero! Cough, You need to save Menart! He is in the Desert somewhere training. He just got attacked!\" Zero drew his sabre and took off into the desert.

He walked around cautiously, due to the sense of danger creeping around him. He saw Menart in a trap. A Pheonix was above him laughing. Zero ran over immediatly to see what was going on. The Pheonix laughed. \"Zero, how nice of you to, er, remember.... Your friend is sinking in quicksand. If you want to save him, you must defeat me first!\" The Pheonix flew toward Zero. It was Pheonix Magnion. He was still alive......

It was now or never. Zero lunged toward the bird, and attempted to swipe his wings. The fight went on and on. Menart was watching intently. Zero was finally pinned. The Pheonix grabbed Zero and lifted him into the air by his throat, Zero gasping for air. The Pheonix smiled. \"Zero, you will wish you were dead when i\'m done with you. You will now learn all you worked so hard to forget!\" He grasped Zero\'s throat even tighter, trying to absorb enough energy for his next attack..........


How do ya like it so far? This is just the beginning, so you can\'t expect much...For now at least....

I\'m slowing down now, I was in a rush, \'cuz I had to go to bed soon! Now, as I left off....

Zero was being choked by Pheonix Magnion. Zero knew that this was going to end poorly. He struggled hard as the sun beat against his legs. Still airborn, the Pheonix drew in enough energy. He was ready to release it. The Pheonix chuckled. \"Well Zero, you sure have done it this time. Your screwed. Prepare for the worse nightmare you have ever experienced!\"

All of a sudden, holographic images rushed toward him. He saw so many things he never knew, or at least until after he died. An image of Iris and Colonal approached. The Colonal image looked at Iris as if she was supposed to say something. She started muttering awful things. \"My only friend, betrayed me. Killed my brother, and me! You are worthless scrap metal, Zero! Go to hell!\" The image dissapeared and he saw Sigma. He was laughing like an idiot.

\"Heh, so you have finally met this terrible fate. I hoped that I would be the one to serve it to you. Oh well.\" Zero shook his head in disbeleif at what he was seeing. Double, Vile, X, Sigma, Iris, Colonal, Axl, and Dynamo suddenly came rushing to Zero and attacked him madly. Zero couldn\'t stand it anymore.

He drew his Sabre and slashed the Pheonix and he fell. \"Owww, stupid bird!\" The Pheonix summoned more memories from the darkest parts of Zero\'s mind.

The Pheonix sent the images after him. \"You can run, Zero. But you will never escape your past!\" Zero turned around to see Dr. Light screeching in terror as Zero killed him. Zero ran further away from this, and realized that the only way to stop this, was to kill the Pheonix.

Zero turned around yet again, and charged his Sabre for a triple slash. As he approached, Magnion dodged him elegantly. \"Come back here! Stop! Ok, DIE!\" Zero unleashed his charged triple slash on Pheonix Magnion, and he screeched. Pheonix Magnion turned and slashed Zero across the chest with his wing\'s claws! \"You, you have gotten stronger? No way. Here it goes again....\" Zero equipted his Thunder Chip and got ready to attack. Just as he turned, the Pheonix flung him into a pile of sand head first. This was an advantage to Zero. The Pheonix could not see him charging, so he leaped out of the sand, and hit Pheonix Magnion. It\'s wings began to shrivel up into dust. It screeched as loud as it could. Zero jumped in the sand for cover. The explosion was like a fireworks show.

Zero rushed over to Menart. Menart was gazing at Zero with amazment. \"Menart? Menart? Earth to Menart! MENART!\" Menart suddenly snapped out of it.

\"Huh? Oh, Zero. Uh, I hope your not mad at me. I know Ciel told me not to come here, but I wanted to become stronger, like you. You always practice here, and you always learn something new. Now I know what Ciel meant. Ok, I\'m ready to go now.\" Menart felt really guilty to put Zero to all this trouble. Zero smiled back.

\"Menart, that\'s good. The more mistakes you make, the more you learn from them. I\'ve made alot of mistakes! Look at me now? I am cautious, aware, and strong. You can be like me too. You just have to wait. Your not ready yet....\" They both started on their way back to the resistance base. Zero couldn\'t stop thinking about those memories. Would he have to relive his past? Would he ever figure out his true porpose? These are the many questions he has left to answer. Somehow, Zero might figure it out someday........

So, I guess some attack will come next. Isn\'t that what always happens? Well, I\'ll post the next peice when I can.

This is interesting because I have a very visual imagination and that\'s sometimes more of a curse than a blessing. Anyways, when I read your story I have these conflicting images like Phoenix choking Zero when he has no arms and Zero eating breakfast. I thought they just used energy cells. I dunno. Maybe I don\'t pay enough attention.

But nevertheless, it\'s a great story and it\'s definitely more imaginative than anything I could come up with. Kudos!:)

Pocket, they eat energy crystals. (Energeon) And Pheonix Magnion grabs Zero with the claw like things on his wings. Play the game. if it doesn\'t make sense, maybe he was choking him with his talons.

Do they really eat those crystals? I thought they had some sort of port or something that transfers the energy. I\'m not completely sure how reploids work but I did play both Zero games and this story doesn\'t really seem to go well with the actual storyline... I guess that\'s why they\'re called fan fictions.

Dude, they are meant to be as human as possible. Also, why does Ibu complain about how hungry he is? He wants 250 energy crystals to eat. Well, I think this fits Zero pretty well. Howcome everyone at BnG understands me? Oh well.... I\'ll continue this story later today!

Zero and Menart got back just in time for lunch. Energeon was always what they ate, not much choice here. This contained enough energy for them to run off of until the next meal. An old man came over to Zero and Menart. \"Zero, Ciel has something you might want to see. Meet her in Cerveau\'s lab. By the way she said it, it sounded quite important. You better hurry.\" This old man was Andrew. He wanted to be an old Reploid.....

Zero got up after he shoving 1 more energy crystal into his mouth. \"Thank you Andrew. Menart, I gotta go. Try not to get in too much trouble, okay?\" With that, Zero ran to the lab.

He walked inside and saw Cerveau. \"Uh, hi Zero. You missed the news. They plan to come here. They want something, but they didn\'t say what.\"

Zero chuckled. \"Well, those Neo Arcadians are quite cautious! They outta relax more like me. God. What happened to Ciel anyway?\" Cerveau came over to Zero.

He wispered softly. \"Female stuff. She thinks Allouette needs to know. I think she\'s lost her marbles!\" Zero couldn\'t help but laugh.

\"Yeah, I think so. Allouette doesn\'t need to know jack. Shes a robot. Ciel is taking her Mother Job Really seriously. Well, I guess I better go downstairs and prepare, eh?\" Cerveau looked serious now.

\"Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that! Yeah, get the stealth team ready.\" Zero was perplexed.

\"What on Earth for?\" Cerveau gave him a smart look. It seemed obvious.

\"Ahem, to spy around the base, ya know, to see when they are here.\" Zero got his weapons off the table.

He was about to leave. \"Cerveau, make sure Ciel is safe.....She is to weak to withstand an attack on her own.... Bye.\" Zero ran out to get his things together. He got into the elevator and pushed several buttons until a sound clicked. The elevator began it\'s way to floor 4. All of a sudden, the elevator stopped. It wasn\'t on a floor yet. The lights turned off and Zero heard screams. \"Damn, the attack has already begun? Oh no, not now. I gotta find some way out, AHAH!\" Zero took out his Z-Sabre and cut the metal flap on the top of the elevator. \"Now to find a way to get up there...\" Zero wall-kicked his way out of the elevator. There was an intresting Reploid at the top of the shaft. He cut the wires holding it up and dissapeared into the darkness.

The elevator fell fast. At the time it hit, Zero was out cold. As he lay there, the strange Reploid crawled down the wall. It snickered. \"It appears the old guy\'s not quite dead. I suppose I\'ll have to do something about that. But what? Oh heck with it. I\'ll just tie him up and leave him there for the young ones to feed off.....\" The Reploid was a spider type. It turned around and flung a web covering Zero\'s whole body. You could bearly see his face through the webs. The Reploid crawled up the shaft and dissapeared yet again. Zero shook his head. The smell of oil filled the air. He opened his eyes to see millions of little spider-like robots biting at his titanium alloy covering. He couldn\'t move much, so he struggled wildly. Nothing happened.

Back at the Lab

Menart saw a weapon of Zero\'s laying on a table. He grabbed it and started to leave. \"Cerveau, I\'m going after Zero. He should have been out there by now. Somethings wrong.\" Before Cerveau could respond, Menart was out the door.

In the hall, he heard some moaning. He went over to the elevator and the moaning got louder. Zero was down there. Menart looked around until he saw an air vent. He took a wrench and unscrewed the hinge. He nealed down enough so he could fit inside. Now he liked the fact that he was a bit small. He continued down the passage as webs rubbed against his face. He saw a fork. He went left and found the vent to the elavator. He unhinged that cover and looked out.

\"Well this isn\'t good. Oh, the Chain Rod!\" He grabbed it out of his pocket as he was still crammed in the vent. \"How do you use this darn thing? Let\'s see here-whow!\" It extended out the vent and clung to a wall in the shaft. Menart held the handle tight and slid out of the vent. He swung and hit the wall face first, and fell. As he was falling, he shot the rod at another wall near the bottom. \"Now I know what it\'s like to be Zero! It looks so simple, but it\'s not.\" He unhooked to grip and fell into the shrapnel at the very bottom.

He saw spiders eating Zero\'s leg. \"You stupid bugs! Hyaaaa!\" He hit some of the with the rod, and whacked the others with his wrench. The spiders fled at their right sense of mind. He took the rod and used the grip to hack at the webs until they got loose enough to pull off. He cleared them away and slaped Zero\'s face. \"Wake up! We need to save Ciel and the others!\" Zero woke up immediatly and told Menart to go help Cerveau with the defenses. Menart used the rod to get back to the vent and he left.

Zero shook his head. \"Now I need to get to the top.\" Zero wall kicked back and fourth from wall to wall until he reached the top. The door was open. He got out and and saw Alloutte tied up. He ran over to her and stopped. It was obvious something was up. They knew he was smarter than this. He turned around and saw that spider that he saw at the top of the shaft earlier.

It smiled. \"I knew you would make your way out. I only wanted to delay you. I am Koetsu Hunkira, minion of Harpuia. He told me to delay you, for he wanted to settle a score with you.. Heh, I find you too intresting. I think I will termenate you myself. Oh, and you better hurry. Bombs are tied to that girl over there. You might not want her to die. Face me, ZERO!\" He ran at Zero as Zero slashed him. The Koetsu spun a web ring and threw it at Zero.

Zero cut it up and jumped back. \"You fool. I will crush you like the bug you are!\" Zero ran in for a horizontal slash. Yes, it hit, but Koetsu grabbed him at that time and started to spin a web around him. Zero broke free.

Koetsu was out of luck. He did not see, but a Falcon Reploid flew close with a green rider. The green Reploid jumped down to speak. His eyes were burning with fury. \"Koetsu, I am very dissapointed in you. Guess you just have to DIE!\" He cut Koetsu in half and turned to face Zero. \"I want a fair fight. Zero, you have done well to stay alive. I\'m impressed. You will now be retired by ME!\"

Harpuia ran for Zero with his blades spread wide. He jumped as Zero nicked his leg. Harpuia was now in the air. He flew down as Zero moved. He caught hold of Zero and crushed him against the ground. Zero got up and fought back. He was now weak. Harpuia snickered. \"This is your end, Zero. You can\'t beat me like this. To make this funner, I guess I will use a charged attack.\" Harpuia gathered enormous amounts of energr. Menart came up and saw this. He threw his wrench at Harpuia, thus breaking his concentration.

\"Zero, now! He\'s weak from the charge!\" Zero got up and ran for his final slash. Now Harpuia was too weak to fight. He teleported away to avoid further damage. Zero ran over and untied Allouette. He discharged the bomb and threw it off the building. The elevator turned on and Zero got in there with Allouette and Menart as they went to Ciel\'s room. They got there and brought Allouette in safely.

\"Allouette! Thank you so mush Zero!\" Ciel hugged her and kissed her. Zero couldn\'t stand this stuff, so he and Menart went to their rooms and went to bed.......

How was that? Heh, I thought it kicked butt!

Your writing inspires me to write my own fan fic but with my incredibly short attention span I would make something like

\"Zero looked across the great expanse of desert that lay... Oh whatever. He kills a bunch of robots and everyone is happy. Except for the bad guys. They die. Oh and X is there and they\'re all eating popcorn flavoured energy crystals. The end.\"

Yeah, everyone wants that. It took me an HOUR to write that last peice!

If you\'re complaining how much you had to write....then why did you write it? Anyways it\'s very good zero i wouldnt dare write that much...

I\'m not complaining. I want to make it worthwhile. But, that\'s besides the point. It\'s good practice for the freakin\' MEA\'s that are coming up.:eek:

-Memories Take Over-

The next morning, Ciel came in and opened the shades on the window. Zero and Menart got up quickly and covered their eyes. \"Ahhhhh, Ciel, shut those shades!\" She smiled.

\"Boys, you have been asleep for over 9 hours. You need to get up some time today.\" They got up and made their beds. The sun shone bright in their eyes, thus causing them to go out of the room.

Zero went to the desert to go train for the next attack. As he got out there, he was struck by a memory.

-Cut Scene-

In a desert near Sigma\'s old base, several hunters gathered to check where the Final Weapon crashed. A tall bulk officer looking Reploid came over. \"Repliforces final weapon crashed here after the explosion 4 years ago. We are here to check the place for survivors. We are getting severe energy readings from this area.\" Everybody knodded.

A red Reploid walks over to the pile of debris nearby. Suddenly, a fierce looking Reploid attacked out of the debris. The tall officer came over with the rest of the hunters. \"Zero! Look out! That is a land crawler made by Sigma! Kill it!\"

-End Cut Scene-

Zero kept at a straight pace as these thoughts rushed through his mind. Zero kept a stern look and continued along until he reached his favorite training spot. He slashed all enemies in his path. Another memory soared through his head.

-Cut Scene-

The worm jumped in and out of the ground in attempt to shift the sand. Zero jumped back as the beast ate his commander. \"Signas! No!\" Zero stammered or a second. The beast came over to eat him. Everything blurs out.

-End Cut Scene-

Zero heard a rumbling. \"Damn Pheonix Magnion. I can\'t stop thinking about these terrible th- Holy hell!\" The ground collapsed beneath him as he fell. He fell in a large farmilliar room.

He walked around to notice that this place was a terrible place for him. He saw a dead body nearby. \"No, this must be a dream. This can\'t be real.\" He walked over to the body to find that it was real. \"Iris? No. This isn\'t happening. This is so my imagination.\" He got up and looked around somemore. \"Who am I kidding? This is dead real. But why? Is this a punishment for helping the resistance?\" He grabbed the female\'s body and held it tight. \"I\'m sorry. I didn\'t mean to. I, I don\'t know what to do anymore!\"

Suddenly, the body started to speak to him. \"Zero? Is that you? It is! Are you here to save me?\" Zero glared at her. Her eyes were wide open shining in the light.

\"N-no. I came here by accident. I-Huh?\" A ringing noise came from the side of his head.

\"Zero, are you okay? You are not on our radars anymore. Zero?\" Zero ignored Ciel\'s message.

He continued to stare lifelessly at Iris. \"I can\'t beleive I let you die. I\'m a terrible person. You must hate me.\" The body moved a bit as it looked innocently into Zero\'s eyes.

\"I don\'t hate you. You need to calm yourself. If your not here to save me, then why are you here?\" Zero looked at her intently.

\"I, I don\'t know. The sand slipped from beneath me. I fell down here. How do you expect that I can save you? Your, dead....\" She looked over at the wall and pointed.

\"Zero, I waited for so long for someone to come. I am alive because General hooked me up to that machine. I can\'t go anywhere until it is properly controlled. Can you fix it?\" Zero looked blankly at the computer.

\"I, I don\'t know. I can try. It will take a while though....\"

At the resistance base.....

Ciel heard a coversation of some sort over the comm systems. She looked over to Menart. \"You need to find Zero. I can\'t seem to get him to listen to me.\" Menart looked over at Ciel happily.

\"Yay! I finally get my first mission! See ya! I won\'t let you down!\" Menart ran out the door and headed to the desert. He could barely see a thing due to the raging sand storms. He looked as hard as he could. He saw a huge sand worm coming his way. He got in a ready stance, and drew his weapons.

I got to go to bed. I\'ll finish the chapter tomarrow!:eek: Yes, the suspence!

The sand worm neared as Menart drew his laser gun and pistol. \"Alright, your going down.\" Menart charged after the worm, but it sunk into the ground leaving Menart with no trace to where it might be. \"What the? The ground is not even moving! He-Whoaaaa!\" The worm came from under him and gripped his teeth tightly upon Menart\'s slender body.

It was drooling acids of pure disgust. \"Puny Maverick Hunter. I will devour your pathetic body and add it to my own!\" It looked up and let Menart go, causing him to fall down it\'s throat. He fell deeper until he his a wet platform deep inside it\'s body.

He looked around to see nothing but pure darkness. \"Oh no. Wait, I need to get out. I need to help Zero. I got to- Hey, I\'ve got it!\" He aimed his laser gun away from him and shot it. It made a hole in the worm\'s body about 3 feet big around. The creature moaned in pain. It shot more acids down it\'s throat at Menart. \"Oh, gross. Ah, it burns!\" He shot the wall several more times until there was a hole big enough for him to climb out. \"But, I can\'t kill him from the outside. Hmmm. Ahah. I can shoot his energy containing units to make him weak!\" Menart looked around for some container and shot it to pieces. \"Yes!\" He came out the hole on the back of it\'s neck.

It started to explode, starting with it\'s abdoman. Menart ran away from the explosion and fell through the sand.....

-Back in the Final Weapon-

Zero tweaked with he machinary for a long time. He finally got the right wires setup. He turned it on an looked at Iris. \"How are you feeling now? Any better?\" Iris moved somemore. She leaned forward and sat up. As soon as he got over there to unhook her, something blasted through the wall. Menart just blasted through.

\"There you are, Zero! Ciel told me to find you. Are you okay?\" Zero turned to face Menart.

\"Yeah, I\'m just fine. How\'s Ciel? Is she on the floor crying \'cuz I\'m not there to assure her safety?\" Menart chuckled.

\"Zero, she knows you can take care of yourself! God.\" Zero looked back at Iris. She smiled back.

\"Zero? Is he a friend?\" Iris looked concerned now.

\"Yes. We should go to the base now. Who knows when Neo Arcadia will be attacking again.\" Zero followed Menart as Iris caught up to them. A huge explosion not too far away, shook the ground madly. \"Hell, no! CIEL!\" The resistance base was being attacked.

Zero ran over to the gate at the entrance of the desert. \"Damn! I\'m too late! Hey, you two stay here. I\'m going in.\" Zero dashed off as Menart tightened his belt.

\"You heard the man. We stay right here. What? Don\'t stare at me like I don\'t care! I do! He told us to stay here. That was an order!\" Menart gazed at the tower where Zero was headed.

Iris, still staring at Menart, said \"I, I meant, like, who is he? Why did he leave us here? KID! Listen to me. Kid? Huh...\"

Back at the Base......

Zero wallkicked his way up the tower. As he neared the top, he noticed Harpuia. He was holding Ciel by the thraot, as she was gasping for air. Harpuia smiled. \"Well, aren\'t you a cute one. Too bad my orders were to kill you. If I had a choice, I would run away with you. Heh. I\'m serious. X, that damn fool has total control over me....\" He squeezed tighter.

Ciel moaned in pain. Her soft voice was now echoing through Harpuia\'s mind. \"You don\'t have to do this..... You can choose...for yourself....what you want to do......in life.....Just let......me go....please......\" Harpuia looked her in the eyes with actual emotion.

Harpuia let her go. \"You-your right. I should be able to do what I want. That fool has no control over me.\" Zero got up on the top and saw Harpuia readying himself to leave.

Zero looked at Harpuia oddly. \"What? Wait, you can\'t mean it..... No one ever means those things. You, you\'ll come back, I know it.\"

Harpuia chuckled. \"Well, I mean it. See ya around......Zero....\" Harpuia flew off into the distance. Zero went to get some soldiers to retreive Iris and Menart. He and Ciel went inside.

Next time, Zero will meet one of his toughest challenges yet. The merged for of Fefnir and Phantom. What? Phantom? Yes. He did not completely die I guess. You will have to wait \'til my next update to hear a totally ass-kicking chapter.
