Lately I\'ve been working on a a drawing of Spider-Man. I think overall the picture is better than my previous efforts as I put more work into it. Still, I don\'t think it\'s that good, but ehhhh.. I\'m not going to get into that. I actually tried on this one.

Really cool, as always. But if Spidy woke up that guy by landing on his roof, his Spidy-Stealth must be failing him.

I only have four gripes about this picture.

• The smokestacks are pretty fake looking. But you know, I think that\'s just anime style smokestacks..so no problem there.
• The guy in the window, his hand is far too big..or so it seems.
• That light over the bulletin board should\'ve been brighter. It looked almost perfect earlier, before you put the blue overtop of it I think.
• The pencilling isn\'t the cleanest. It doesn\'t detract too badly from the picture though.

As for the rest, I really do think it\'s very nice. Spidey especially stands out, with the coloring style you did. It looks like an amateur Spidey comic cover to be honest. Like say, if someone were to get Marvel\'s permission to make a manga of Spidey, this would be the cover. After they fixed the guys hand anyway.

Is it just me or is the moon really huge? Maybe I don\'t read enough Spiderman comics (or any comics for that matter) but it looks like there\'s going to be some sort of imminent planetary collision.

I like the little couple sitting on the roof to Spiderman\'s left. It\'s a nice touch.

What is Spiderman doing with his left arm? It seems awkwardly placed.

Well these are all minor things but the overall picture looks great. The webbing line is consistent with the TV show (I watched that a lot).

It\'s bootyful Necro. I like how you mixed the anime style with spider mans style whatever that is. maybe they do spiderman anime now i havent read it in 5 years

Only thing I can see offputting is the webbing looks limp then like its being pulled maybe its just me though..
Overall it looks great.

Maybe he is just landing and the line hasn\'t stopped moving yet.

I think it\'s great. I really like the couple on the roof in the background, they\'re cute.

I must thank you for your kind words. On the subject on whether or not Spidey woke the fellow up, I cannot tell you. The simple reason is I hadn\'t thought of that( ) but also, I\'d like to leave how to interpret the picture up to those who veiw it. =)

I\'m not really sure what to say about the smokestacks because I wasn\'t exactly going for a realistic image. I do appreciate the fact you voiced something that bothered you however. It\'s nice knowing what people find to be wrong with the drawing. As for the hands, yes, they are too big. Far too big. Pity I hadn\'t caught that when I was drawing... As for the light, I do still have the .oci file so I could just make some changes and make it less dark if I decide I want to. . . Where do you penciling to be unclean, might I ask? =)

Again thank you for the kind words. I really don\'t think if there was a Spidey manga that image would be anywhere near the title, but again, thanks for the sentiment. And just because I feel like sharing it, there actually was a Spider-Man manga. Two, kinda. One that was Japanese that ran in Japan for abit before being cancelled, and another that was American and was a short series. I must admit I haven\'t actually read either of them, however.



Yes, I\'ll agree the moon itself is too large, and no, it\'s not that big in the comics. I think I had always wanted to attempt to draw a decent moon with detail and this was my latest attempt. Not the greatest place for it to show up, but..

As for his left arm, I\'m not really sure what he\'s doing. I had an idea when I was originally drawing the picture, but I have actually forgotten what it was by now. I had completed Spider-Man himself over two weeks ago. I do remember I did decide whatever the arm was doing wasn\'t able to be seen from that perspective. Though, that isn\'t too helpful I imagine. =/



Thank you. Humberto Ramos, the current artist for the title Spectacular Spider-Man draws Spider-Man with an anime-ish flair. I can\'t speak for Ultimate Spider-Man as I don\'t actually read the title, but I don\'t imagine the artist does anything that is like anime as I\'ve seen his work on Spider-Man earlier in the 90s. And as for the last regular title of Spider-Man\'s, the art is by no means anime-ish.

Pity I didn\'t even notice it when you showed it to me before the final pencilling. Unless I didn\'t see the hand. o.o I was probably awed by everything else. XD




It\'s whatever..you decide on the light there. o.o And the uncleanness is present in the smokestacks (unless that\'s coloring gone awry..), Spidey\'s feet, and here and there on some of the bricks. I guess you didn\'t erase well enough? o.o

I know, I saw the Spidey manga covers at...some Spidey site, when I was lookin for Goblin refs. They were ugly. Kinda unbelievable they were manga, unless they tried to copy the western style of comic.
