I see SW is trying to express his red hot sexual desire for video game characters again in the Zero Series forum.

Anyways, I only said that this could turn out to be unhealthy if it gets out of hand. I didn\'t say or mean to imply, \"I hate people who like anime women. Please cast yourself on fire and jump off a bridge if you do.\" What people do in their own time is their own business. That is until you bring it out into the open in an attempt to say \"There\'s nothing wrong with me, and I\'ll prove it by asking my friends what they think. I\'ve seen fangirls who have very very unhealthy attitudes with anime males.
For example: \"Omg! I\'m getting married to him and I\'m pregnant with his twins!!! :D\"

Sometimes, they will be blissfully happy in their delusion... and that bugs me so much. However, I like anime males, but more of eye-candy type than trying to make out with ink and paint.

Alright, first off, I draw hentai so that might make you think I have a bias. Perhaps I do, I dunno. But like I said in that other topic..one of the ones SonicBoom/SolarWarrior made..I see hentai as just another form of art. And like Deviantart says, \'The human body is one of the oldest subjects in art\' or something.

I can\'t draw realistic people, so I draw anime folks. So yeah. I don\'t get any sexual pleasure from hentai though, it\'s just another thing to look at. Say, there\'s this picture of Morrigan sitting on a bed naked. Most guys would be like \'omg boobies!\', but with me it\'s \'holy snit, look at that lighting effect.. I wonder what he/she colored this with, it\'s definitely digital. I\'ll have to try to emulate that style\'. But anyways, just giving my reasons before ya\'ll jump on me and call me sick and I should be shot, ya know, the usual I get from everyone else.

Anyways, liking anime people isn\'t bad as long as you don\'t think they\'re real or some sort. Fantasizing about meeting Mihoshi from Tenchi Muyo out in a parking lot one day at Walmart is kinda disturbing, to me. Just watching her on the show and thinking she\'s cute is fine.

Hell, I have a fondness for Edea from FF8 but I still know she\'s not real. Unfortunately. =(

Replying to Pocket\'s post in that other topic, so I won\'t take it off topic.

Alright fine, I messed up with the \'if your friend jumped off a bridge would you do it too\' mentality. But you seem to have avoided the other points I made, about how years ago, kids weren\'t exposed to anime.

And so...a prolonged exposure to pornography IS healthy? Pornography is almost the same, to be honest. Well, Playboy is for certain. They airbrush the women, get rid of blemishes and anything that looks \'ugly\'. They\'re essientially \'painting\' women..it\'s like spriting with a base. Porno can ruin women for you too.

And it wouldn\'t be a problem for anyone that isn\'t an immature child mentally. Usually in school and all, people are very shallow, they want the \'hot\' girls and don\'t care if they\'re dumb as a brick. And when they grow up..-usually- they become less shallow, and start looking for personality. So I think, if you\'re not mentally disturbed and know anime girls aren\'t real and all that..hentai will not affect you in a negative manner.

It\'s like with yaoi fangirls. They\'re young, they\'re just following the crowd, hormones raging. Usually they grow out of it and get sense.

well... i never seemed to \"like\" anyone from a game or anime..... but if im watching an anime and some chick starts getting her clothes ripped off by a mutant seal well i wouldn\'t mined to stay around the tv for a little bit longer...... and even though this is not liking the character sometimes i do admire there voices or something because you can actually meet the person who does that.....

I don\'t remember saying how overexposure to \'regular\' pronography was all that healthy either. I believe that the whole premise of something being erotic was that it was \'mysterious\'. I can\'t think of a better word but basically something that you don\'t see a lot of. For our culture, it\'s breasts and genitals. \"Ooh, look. Boobies. Very sexy.\" However in other parts of the world where they have different cultures (such as the middle east), the women conceal their entire bodies and the men find even the least bit of exposed skin sensual (Maybe being stoned to death is punishment for indecent exposure, ie. not covering up). I\'ll expand on this more if it still needs more clarification.

When you are exposed enough to something, you will become desensitized. Things like violence, sex, and drugs will lose their effect when you are subjected to it repeatedly. You develop a tolerance and you require more of the stuff to generate the same feeling. However, you can\'t have \'more sex\' so people begin branching out into fetishes and stuff like that.

I think we\'ve established that overexposure leads to desensitization.

Overexposure to sex can lead to desensitization of sex. This is not healthy.

Hentai is basically sex presented through a different media (ie. cartoon nudes as opposed to human nudes).

Therefore, hentai can lead to a desensitization of sex which is not healthy.

I have no idea how to break it down into anything clearer than that.

About the video game analogy, suppose you play a game where a person\'s spleen is torn out through his eye sockets. Most people would be horrified (or surprised at least) the first time around. By the 500th time you\'ve seen it in the game, you will have accepted that it\'s a part of the game and it will lose it\'s \'shock value\'. Most people can tell the difference between video game violence and real violence but some can\'t and those are the people who ruin video games for the rest of us.

So by your logic again, videogame violence is also not healthy and leads to violence occuring in real life.
