Seriously. I\'m about to post a horrible link to probably the worst spam site out there. And when you go to it, you\'ll laugh...probably exclaim in surprise, and hate good ol\' Keiyoushi for sending you there.

It\'s a nasty site. But the real problem is that it shows how much power it has over your computer. At least...what it\'s capable of doind.

I want everyone to beware this site, and stay away. It made my comp crash, because once it comes up, spam after spam shows up, and it makes your homepage equal to that. It manipulates your computer from behind the sidelines.

Just because people get spammed like that, they probably WON\'T download it out of anger?

Or maybe, because they saw how easy their computer can get messed with, they would download it because they think it\'s powerful.

Uh, you might want to say what happens if you go to the site before you put the link. Some people go to topics, see a link, and click it without reading the actual post it was in (I almost did that this time). So also, try putting a warning in big letters.

I went to the site. I think the only reason I\'m safe is because of the one thing I like about AOL: the pop-up blocker. Although, my CD-ROM drive opened when I went there. Of all the weird things my computer does, that\'s not one of them. What did that site do?

I had an AOL pop-up blocker... so I only had 1-3 pop-ups. I also heard and \"UH-OH!\" sound effect. Is my compy virus infected?

Since when is there a Linux version of IE...? You use WINE to get it on there?

As a side note...I heard something about MicroCrap discontinuing downloadable versions of IE (stopping with the IE6 SP1 version) and it\'s Mac version completely, so IE could be included only in Windows.

I\'m a foo\' and a weenie... I haven\'t actually clicked on the link and I\'m using IE. I have no pop-up blocker... I\'m playing Megaman Legends without any buster parts...

what I think it does it tap into your WM player and uses its Disc drive open command and feeds it into your computer. Your computer does exactly what it\'s told, so it woudl be easy to fool it into doing that.

Furthermore, there are no \'lasting\' effects of the site, other than the fact that it sets it as your homepage.

Ok, That was funny! I went there, and had no pop-ups. I went up under Safari, and disabled the block, and this Uh-oh sound came. I\'M NOT INFECTED! My CD drive didn\'t open. Or, maybe that\'s \'cuz macs don\'t do that. You just slip the CD into the slot:lol:

Oh, and I only saw 2 pop-ups. One uh-oh thing, and a diet patch add.0_o

I\'m not clicking the accursed link! This slow computer can\'t take any more than it has to, and I don\'t want to see a bunch of stupid popups. But anyways, thanks for bringing that to everyone\'s attention. It is ironic.:lol:

Unfortunately, curiosity got the better of me, and caused me to click on the insidious link. To my good fortune, I have a pop-up blocker, and this eliminted all but one pop-up and the CD-Drive opening.
Yes, from what my Ad-Blocker notified me of, it may have well been infested with ads.

I unblocked this for the heck of it in Firebird, and came up with the following:

It opens 3 windows besides itself, and does this:

-Opens your CD drive (if using IE, as other browsers can\'t use VBScript)

-Opens a window that plays an UhOh sound (kinda like the one on WS_FTP when te connection doesn\'t work)

-Opens another window that moves around on you when you hover over it.

It didn\'t change my homepage, but I think IE only does that.
It looks like they\'re demonstrating what can be done to your computer in a very annoying way. Ah well, that\'s propaganda for you:D

I use IE, (With a pop-up blocker) and all I got was the \"uh-oh\" window. That\'s it, no homepage change, no cd-drive, nothing

Yeah, I used wine. I don\'t think they\'re going to make IE for linux. >_>

I clicked it, and I only had about 5-6 pop-ups, and maybe less. I have a pop-up blocker, but it doesn\'t get rid of every ad/pop-up. I got the \"Uh-Oh\" thing, but nothing happened. I have a disk drive, but it didn\'t open. Why? Because I took it off and put the floppy disk thing thing (I have a lap top Presario 1700, so I can only have either a floppy disk think or a disk drive in at a time).
