Ok, while I suppose most contests here don\'t offer any sort of prize at all (I could be wrong, It\'s been a while), I do.
Sort of.

Whats the prize? The 8 winning entrants go into the game Megaman: Return of Dr Wily (working title) Runner ups might become stage enemies or sub-bosses.

I\'m doing this contest so that people can get their creative juices going, and can see their work in action!

What goes on once you\'ve entered, well, I\'ll give u an example from my first entry (which sets the standred for what im looking for from you:)

For the entry Psiman, this is what happened,
1) I got sent the picture of the guy\'s idea.

Now, the quality of the submission is rubbish, but after he explained to me what his idea was, I was able to get MY creative juices going, and came up with the second stage of teh submission:
2) I redrew the design in the Megaman style.

Now, consider how bad the first entry was, and that I had to design that. Didn\'t matter though! I was successful, the guy was happy with the redesign...
3) The possible sprite...
Next, I created a \"mock up\" sprite. Basicly, if this guy wins, his in-game sprite will look something like this:

4) The storyline...
After that, a page was created for the entry, which can be viewed HERE.
You can see for yourself what I done for infomation.

Ok, where do you lot fit into this?
Simple, all I need is drawings, whether good or bad, and i\'ll do the rest!!
Feel free to give your robot master a background story and attacks, etc.

It also includes a full list of Robot Master ideas already used (Basicly every Capcom robot master ever made.), which basicly, you
can\'t submit (I do NOT want a Heatman X200312)

Rules:
1) The robot master MUST be original and your own idea.

2) Try to make them Semi-Serious. Please, no Pizzamen or Potmen please.
2) This is a Contest for a Megaman game, not an Battle Network or X games. No Rangaman.exes or Rocket Raccoons, please.
3) Try to keep it simple. This it\'ll not only make it easier this end, but it increases the chances of winning. Some entrys will have no chance of getting in, simply because it\'d be too difficult to animate.
4) Once you\'ve sent me the Robot Master, i\'ll need your real name. Makes it more offical that way.
5) Feel free to send in the Robot Master\'s Background story and attacks.
6) If you are displeased with an earlier entry, feel free to send another one - be warned how-ever, the old one will be disqualified.
7) Remember, Wily controls all the entrys - no good guys please!

If you want proof of the game\'s being created, then your going to have to wait till I can get some good screenshots. At the engine on a rather bland feild with no BG, I need the RM\'s to program the weapons and stuff!

Hmm.. a contest? well alright. This was just an idea i had in my head a few minutes ago:

I had the usual five minutes to spear and have not laid much editing work on it. I wont post my better ideas in case I need them later but i think this might do.

Its Jolt man. His attacks cosist of charging up shock blasts in his hands, he is able to send large jolt trough the floor (one Jolt that covers the entire floor in an instant mind you, then he repeats the attack a certain nouber of times), and lastly he can use his cords to shock the enemy at a limited range.

Story: Jolt man was designed to be able to stack up on energy and transport it to wherever it was needed. After being reprogrammed by Wily he uses his abilety to consume large ammounts of energy to depleete the towns energy reserves. His memory was not compleetly erased though and knows that Wily is not his creator, he does not trust Wily but follows his orders for the time being.

It\'s a little EXEish, but otherwise, its perfect, nice artwork!

This is going to be one of ones where I simply copy the orignal drawing but with my drawing style..
Ironically, the other one I actually did that to was another Elec robot, Lightningman.

Well I wanted to do something neat for my 400th post (yay me) but I guess it\'s not really a big thing anyways. :|

Medicman - Originally a prototype robotic doctor in a hospital, he was captured by wily and modified to become battle ready.

Attacks:
Self diagnostic repair components (heals himself slowly while fighting you)
Scalpel shot (fires a barrage of extremely sharp surgical knives)
Defibrillator shock (fires a projectile on a tether that electrifies if it connects)

I\'ll draw a pic on the oekaki board when I have the time.

My robot is Nightman. He is covered in black armor. He has dark gray gauntlets and a W on his chest showing that he is made by Wily. His weapon is a HUGE sword which he can use very well. He has a dark grey coat with red edges on it. He has a spiky armor helmet and has red eyes. His legs are incased in armor and the color is dark grey and black.

His powers are to turn the area around him dark making the enemy only see him by his glowing red eyes. He is able to see through the dark(duh) and he uses his sword to defeat his enemys.

Not Very good, but mines done. This is Dragonman. He does have removable wings and reattachable ones... I didn\'t put them on though.
He can pull the little strand of hair out and throw like a boomerang. it turns to metal after.And foir dodging, he crouches into a little spikey ball :D.

And his earring conceals his true power. XP
And the little spikeys on his arms can extend and act like swords. And he has a sword, too.

Those are some interesting sprites. Skull Lazer isn\'t looking too sub-bossy to me. Makes me want to walk in front of it and wait for power-ups.

good work on my extrememan\'s bio but it should have these folowing attacks too
1 nova punch-sorta like the ultimate armors nova strike but only his arm goes inflame 2 EX-buster (kinda like his giga attack) he shoots all thre elemental shots out of his buster rapidly for a limited time. and finaly 3 spike ball- he rolls into a ball and grows spikes and keeps rolling on the ground only untill he hits somthing (note-if any thing touches the spikes while rolling it is instantly vaporized) now hows those for more attacks?

Hahaha, I like the new medicman (needle under his left arm is nice). The rest are pretty interesting.

I wonder when the actual robot master will be decided upon. I hope I make the cut (I\'ve said that before...).

Heres the breakdown:

a) How easy it is to sprite. Sprites too hard to do well are not worth having in the game.
Sorry about that.

Originality - Well.. duh..

c) Numbers Crunch - If i get too many entrys of the same element (E.g Fire) and I really like two of the entrys - I\'ll pick the winner at random. Sorry.. but what else am I meant to do?

d) The General Idea - If the original idea was brillient - theres a good chance of it getting somewhere.

e) Common sense - I am not having two animal based Robot Masters in the same game, nor two Robot Masters who use identical attack ideas.

f) Personal Opinion - I\'m likely to go with my favourites.. obiously.

Remember, all entrys are going SOMEWHERE into the game, e.g Runners up might become standred enemys, others make background appearences, or become interactive NPC\'s etc.

Also, I love pritty much all the entrys! Their great, I could easily see all of them getting in the game.

Judging is going to be tough...

Erm.. when-ever I have enuf entrys and the engine is ready for weapons to be implimented I suppose...
