That option only affects VS Mode. In order to gain illegal parts you must complete all of the Grand Battle (in the dome) then you get a LOT of illegal parts while battling the guys at Z Syndicate HQ.

Hm... however you can get these a bit early.

Crystal Strike(Gun):Grand Battle - Test Center - Enter tournament and upon beating computer #04 press A several times and scroll through the dialog until it givers you the Crystal Strike.

Wave Laser(Gun):Grand Battle - Research Lab - Lab 01 - Go to the south-eastern corner and press A.

X Laser(Gun):Grand Battle - Bogey\'s Cafe - Walk behind the counter and press A in the center of the long eastern wall

You have a long and difficult journey if you want to obtain the Ray Warrior part. However... it\'s not worth it. Not to me anyway. What is Ray Warrior? It should be the last illegal body you obtain because you have to get ALL Gold Trophies everywhere.

Now den, as for the Rahu parts.....
You will need to have EVERY Silver trophy for all the tournaments to get Rahu III
Once you get them all go in side the Ferris wheel (I dunno what they call it, it\'s the stuff you sit in when you go on a ferris wheel.....) thing and keep pressing A inside it it will say you got Rahu parts III
I don\'t anyone wants Rahu I or II but just in case.....
Go to Bogey\'s cafe, go behind the counter and kep pressing A while facing the wall Run up and down.

Go to the Z Syndicate headquarters, I forgot what her name was(You know the twin sisters?) yeah, but go to the room that has the tank in it(It\'s on the left...)
And go inside!(Now you\'re wondering how do I get inside?! Diagram below |

Metool, I thought you obtain Rahu I by going the tank in Isabella\'s room. And you get Rahu II by talking to Lucy rapidly in the Bronze Handicap match. :\\

(DO NOT AGREE TO FIGHT WHEN THAT HAPPENS! When she shows up go talk to her and annoy the heck outta her. Soon she\'ll go something like \"If I give you these will you just go over there and press the A button?\")

Oh, sorry my bad, I haven\'t played it in awhile cause it got boring, the only thing I haven\'t done is get the gold trophies, I manged to scrape by with just a 1000 points in the lab 2-1 match(Not Evil\'s, Linda\'s)
Has anyone got Ray Warrior or Rakansen yey?

Ray Warrior is kinda bad for what you have to go though.....
*cough*beatalltourneyswithgoldtrophies*cough*

To get Rankansen, all you gotta is beat the final Amusement Park match. To be very specific...

1)Beat every tournament with a Gold Trophy including Z\'s Hideout.
2) Beat the annoying Singles Match that have 8 people and supposably \"upgraded\" them with Rahu\'s power.

What I mean is, Linda found a way to power up her robo with Rahu\'s energy from his tank.

First is Linda, Roy, Mira, Chief, Sergei, Ernest, Marcia, and Harry.

Expect VERY tough battles to go through......

Here are some strategies..

1 metal bear - homing star - spider G
2 breaker - drill - ground freeze
3 seeker - flare - sky freeze
4 glaive - sword storm - cabooze X
5 defender - afterburner - caboose C
6 halberd - blade - spider
7 ray 01 - dragon - satellite H
8 metal ox - shotgun - dolphin G

1: This one is really hard, if you dont know what your doing. To start, fire on
the other side of your opponet. Now, get as close to the wall as you can, and
start firing! The wall will protect you from those nasty hornets, and if he
starts to chase you, drop those spiders, than get the hell out of there!
I did this with 956 hp left.

2: This ones a bit trickier, what you want to do here is land as close to him
as you can, and pray you start first. If you do, drill 3 times, than FLY
AWAY!!! Lay a couple grounds down, than after he fires, dodge and fly at him!
While flying, drill him 3 times, than repeat! You can get out with well over
900 health here!

3: Ahh...rahiel..this one can be tricky even with the best combo. This requires
ALOT of flying skill, or just luck to dodge all them damned eagles! What you
want to do is basically at the begining, land next to him, shoot him to a down,
and run away! Also, every time you land, lay all 3 sky freezes, he moves around
so much your bound to hit him. When he starts to fly, run after him, but be sure
to not get hit by those pesky eagles!! When he lands, LAY ALL HELL TO HIM!!! As
soon as you down him though, run. If you stay to close when he comes back, youll
get a hard hit. This ones health really depends on YOUR skill at flying.

4: This can be a nuisance just because he dodges so damn much. What you want to
do is fire as far away as you can, and just fire alot, stay as far away from him
as you can, and dont get caught behind walls. If he comes to close, just drop a
pod, he cant deal that much damage because he has a magnum, so stay far away and
avoid all his pods.

5: This person is alot like the last battle, so stick to the same strategy. Dont
get close because of the ion gun, and since you can fly, use that to your advantage.
Fire at all times, as much as you can. I got out with well over 700 HP, though if
your good at dodging, you could do alot more.

6: This can be easy if you do it right, dont let TO much distance get between
you, but stay close. his sniper will miss for sure each time if you just keep
moving. Fire at ALL times, and lay down spiders whenever you have the chance.
This shouldnt be THAT hard.

7: Time to go back to your roots. What you want to do is keep ALOT of distance
between you, and hide whenever you can. Lay down your satelites at all times,
and after an attack, jump and FIRE! This can be difficult at times if done
incorrectly.

8: This fight is unseemingly easy. Just lay dolphins, and charge in with your
shotgun. Too easy.

Yeah, it is more like Pokemon, with real-time fighting, natch.:) And, damn the Pereigin is FAST! Give the Glitch look-alike Formula Legs, and he runs like his life depends on it!

Gah. GameCube... I have a PS2, so I won\'t ever be getting Custom Robo. It seems like a very kickass game, though. If only they\'d make it for the PS2

Ok, you know the apartment where you live? Go to the mangements office, when you go in the room, you should see Z syndicate members, next go up to the elevator to the second floor, there should be many people in this room, now go all the awy to the back by the window and there should be a robot/Trash can looking thing, talk to it, and Ta-Da! Oil can parts!

Whoa, Cossack, Super Smash Bros. Melee gets redundant after a month or two of playing, so, Custom Robo seems good, and before Custom Robo, there was Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, Mario Kart, those Sonic Games for GameCube, and more. Oh, can someone show me pictures of Ray Legend and Ray Warrior?
