does any one like and or play the card game DuelMasters?

IMO, Duel Masters = cheap rip-off of Magics: The Gathering.

It\'s simply another TCG to have little kids waste their money on it. Damn you Pokémon, if you hadn\'t started your TCG, we wouldn\'t have all those crappy ones coming out at an alarming rate ><;;;

Play a man\'s game, Magic. Not those other TCG\'s that only last a year and then become worthless.

I like playing dual masters and play with a pure holy deck.

i watch the show but i dont get how to play so i dont buy the game.

I like the show. Very kewl. But I haven\'t played the card game yet. I want to though.

well i play with a frie deck and mmz66 just viset duelmasters.com they have the rules...i had to buy the 2 player starter deck to learn the rules...and magic is still to comlicated for me so i\'ll just learn this cus learning duel masters = learning to under stand magic more...(even though i won\'t play it for a few yrs).

I do not personally play the game. I see it as a cheap and easier way to play Magic the Gathering- any card can be played as mana, from what I understand.

In Magic, if you get mana screwed, you deal with it. No ifs, ands, or buts- you play with what mana you\'ve got.

And besides, the decks are WAY too small. At least they seem that way.

In short, this is another one or two year fad that will die out, just like Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon did. TCG\'s based on games/series always suck ass, anyways.[/font]

I believe the show must have suffered through translation, becuase the jokes on the show can get mind-numbingly irritating. But other than that, the series is fun.

Technicly, Magic was such an early game, that any other TCG game with monsters seems to be a ripoff. But we must remember that different artwork and gameplay appeals to different consumers.

Grr... th worst joke ever was the show\'s utter mockery of flashbacks during the episode of Shopu\'s tournament battle with Toru...:madgo:

Its an all Light Civilization deck (call it holy if you must) but give me credit, im the one who gave you that Deck (but it still cant beat my Almight Fire Civilization Deck)

Axigs, Trust me DAZs Light deck is nothing to joke about, i should know, i made it myself.
Also, i use a Pure Fire civ. Deck and i am currently un defeated with it (my other decks (nature, and water suck)

Phatman, although it is similar to Magic, it is very different (I know this as i have played both games extensively)
and the DBZ/GT card game is based off of DBZ/GT and its one of the collest (albeit hardest) TCG games i have ever played.


AimMan v2.5: There is no translation problem, the jokes are seriously part of the show (the Japanese version is even worse, i saw a few vids of it online and it scared me)



ok, since this is a Duel Masters thread, why dont we post the cards in our decks (with civilization, and number of copies of that card) and compare decks

One more thing, whats your best card (non augmented by effects, and or other complications) Mine is my Bolshack Dragon, and soon to be Super Bolshack Dragon when its pack series is released next. (B.D.: 6000+ attack, Super Bolshack Dragon: 11000+ attack, and they both have the same effect)

SUCK.

The anime is always trying to bring this ridiculous humor at numerous times yet have failed to amuse me. Such as that guy with the weird burns mocking Shobu.

The cards are... okay. The design is neat and all but it just sucks. If had all the money back from all the Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards I spent I\'d have much more Anime DVDs...

I have the video game...that just came out in the US...trying to get the hang of the game..

I thought the whole Yu-Gi-Oh heart-of-the-cards friendship thing was kind of silly, but it\'s childsplay compared to how sickeningly twistedly corny those jokes are... *shivers*
I haven\'t bought the card game because all of the card games I collect i picked up becuase of the show. And I just can\'t get into Duel Masters. I mean, who\'s the kid with the spiky hair? If they pointed out how crazy every anime\'s characters\' hair looked in every startup, we\'d have a lot of interesting cosmetologists.
I wish they hadn\'t stopped with the Digimon cards... I liked those...
Anyways, my cousin\'s into Duel Masters, and he has a fire type deck and that creepy guy with the blue hair\'s deck.

The game is a total copy of yu-gi-oh;)The name is cooler but the monsters lack the coolness of cards like blue eyes white dragon,or exodia.If the cards had cooler names.Instead of bullsarshack dragon,bysarshock dragon.The thing looks like a bear with wings:rolleyes:
