Now, to the story....Finally.....


Prologue......Year 33XX.....


I ran as fast as I could. I knew I wouldn’t get there on time, but the sooner, the better. I am held captive at the Red Light Syndicate. I accidently stumbled into a trap, as Alia left me behind. It has been a long year since then, and no rescue attemp.....

As I approached the Mess Hall, the others mocked me. As my advisor approached me, he had nothing good to say. All he said was “See me in the advisory after breakfast. I have a special treatment for you....” He went to the door and left. I ran to the Energy Machine, and slipped 1 zenny in. I twisted the knob until it wouldn’t turn anymore. To my surprise, my zenny got stuck in the machine, and no Energeon came out. I had no more zenny, so I went to table 10 and sat next to Axl.

Axl quietly ate his Energeon, and I leaned toward him. In a deep, soft voice, I said “So, of all rumors, is there any about a special treatment?” As I said that, Axl spat his Energeon on the table.

He grabbed me by the shoulders, and explained it in a way that everyone would fear it. “Zero, this is not good. They have Cyber Collars. Those things zap the shit out of you until you do things correct. It’s like guiding a puppet, only worst. Some are driven mad by the pain. Why do you ask?”

I began in a low voice, “I’m getting that treatment after breakfast....” I was scared.

Axl, on the other hand, was terrified! He gave me a Energeon Crystal, and shook my hand. “Good luck in there, you just do whatever they say, and you will be fine.” I headed to the Experiment Lab, and opened the door hesitantly. I was greeted by an old man, only a head taller than me.

He showed me to my capsule. I felt like it was my time to die. In a low, injured voice, I said, “Don’t do this to me. I’m not cut out for these jobs, and you know it.”

The man smirked. “Well, with this here Cyber Collar, you will learn fast....” He pressed a button, and left. I struggled madly as the machine started. An odd necklace materialized around my neck. Just as I broke free, I found it was too late. They got it on. I began to feel a horrible sting in my neck. It soon went away, and they came in to take me to my new room. A room where I would be restrained if I went mad.

They placed me in that capsule, and left quietly. I looked around myself, and saw pure darkness. I yawned, and couldn’t help but fall asleep.

(Cut Scene Begin)

“Zero, I’m so glad your safe. I was so worried about you. Zero?” I sat next to the young lady, and put my arm around her for comfort.

“I hear you. I just can’t stop thinking about what happened. I never knew. I still don’t know. It’s all a mystery.” I got up. “I need some time to think.” I walked away, and sat in a dark corner.

I was thinking. I never understood any of it. That day. All of a sudden, I was grabbed from behind. A tall bald Reploid with strange eyes picked me up by the throat. He stabbed me in the throat, and slowly pushed it in. Blood was pouring down my neck, and I felt a new kind of pain. It burned, and stung, it even zapped me. I stuggled madly, but my efforts were for nothing...........

(Cut Scene End)

“Arghhhh, what the fuck?” I clutched my throat, as the Cyber Collar hurt me. “What the hell is happening?” I struggled madly, and broke out of the capsule, glass all over the floor, in puddles of blood. My blood. My advisor walked in.

“Well, Zero. This is what will happen every time you disobey us, so be a good little boy.” I looked up, and drew my Sabre. He laughed. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you. You might get a boo-boo or two. Heh, hah!” He walked out in high spirits. Spirits of evil, that is. I thought for a while...

In Thoughts.....

Why me? Out of all those hunters, why did they capture me? Am I different? Something bad is going to happen. I just know it. What if I am forced to attack them? They don’t stand a chance against these Reploids. They were built for mass destruction. No, I must warn them. They need to know...


Chapter 1
The Great Escape



As soon as I got myself together, I ran back to my old Dormatory. I saw Axl on his bed. He was surprised, but I motioned to be quiet. “Axl, you want out, right? Listen, they are lodging an attack on the Hunter Base. We will end up going. Search for me through the shuffle of soldiers, and I will do the rest. With this many people, it’s impossible for the commander to see us.”

Axl agreed. “Ok, I hope this one doesn’t end up like our last Escape Attemp.... See ya tomarrow.” Axl got a few things together as I left.

I made it to my new room, and searched through my boxes of belongings. I only for a few things of interest. A Sapphire Ring, The Ice Chip, and a Diary. I stuffed those under my capsule, and got ready for bed. I got into the capsule, and it immediatly strapped me down for safety. Although, it wasn’t very comfortable. I closed my eyes, and drifted off into an uneasy sleep.....

I woke up early, and got my things. I grabbed all that was under the capsule, and put it in a bag. I snuck down to the basement, where they keep all the Energeon. I got a few handfulls, and packed them into my bag. I put my Saber and other goods over the Energeon so they couldn’t see it. I ran to my room, and waited for my call.

The advisor walked in, and grabbed me by the neck. “You listen here, Maggot! You go to the base with all our troops, and infiltrate the damn place. If you don’t do as I say, that collar will remind you!” He let go of me, and walked out.

I ran to catch up with the rest of the troops. I ran to the left side of the crowd. Axl was in hot persuit. When we met up, I instructed him clearly. “Axl, we sneak off to the west, and go through the mountains. This will take us to the base quicker. Oh, and I stole some Energeon, so we should be all set. Let’s go.” We trailed off and hid in the shadows.

We soon got so far away, we could barely hear them. We walked for a long time, and found a good resting spot. It would take a few days to get there through this secret route, and a bout a week for the troops. We had a good headstart...

Chapter 2
Mountains Of The Damned


“Axl! We are under seige! Run!” I drew my Sabre as if a war had begun. “What the hell? Axl, I’ve retired these Mavericks once already! How are they here? It’s not possible!” I ran to a hill, and was stopped by Spark Mandrill, one of Sigma’s old Mavericks. As he reached for me, I slashed his arm, and blocked his fire. His arm fell off, he looked at it, and grinned.

“Is that all you have? We’re dead, you moron! We can’t die again! Is that fear I see? Yes, it is. Well? Aren’t you gonna try some foolish Maverick Hunter Style technique to kill me?” He smiled.

“Not today! Sometimes it’s better to retreat and come back to fight another day!” I slid between his legs, and continued to run. Axl wasn’t to far behind. We saw a cave, and ran in. “Axl, pass me one of your pistols!” He tossed it to me, and I shot the cieling, causing the entrance to cave in.

“That was close. So, you say that you already killed them? Wierd...” Axl leaned againt the wall, and fell to the floor in relaxation. “Well, is this cave part of the short-cut?”

I bit my lip nervously. “No, it’s not. It’s some cave I’ve never seen before. Maybe this place has another exit. Well, it doesn’t really matter. We have to look. I don’t like this place. It’s far too eerie.” I looked at the walls. Wierd... It was all scribbles. I knew what it said. This scared me.

“Zero, whatcha looking at? Runes?” Axl came closer.

“Yes, interestingly enough. ‘Those who enter, must free their souls of the evil that torments them. Stand against your greatest fears, and you will learn. In this domain, all is but an Illusion. If you can overcome these Illusions, you may find the path to freedom.’ Strange...” I looked over these words to try and understand them.

Axl stood surprised. “What the hell does that mean?”

I began to explain. “If you understand what it is in here, and know it’s not real, then you will overcome your fears. Then, you will be freed from this torment. Don’t you get it? Those Mavericks back there weren’t real! They were reflections of my past. I saw Spark Mandrill, and Chill Penguin!”

Axl thought for a second. “I saw my creator, trying to kill me...”

I smiled. “Exactly! We are seeing what we truly frea in life. Our pasts! You feared your father! I feared my defeat! I can’t help you here. I can’t see anything that you see. It’s up to you to overcome your fears, and for me to overcome mine!”

So, we began to walk through the tunnels. There was a cut. 2 different paths. “Axl, you take the right. I’ll take the left!” I slowly walked down the corrider, and saw something terrible. A dead Reploid on the floor! Not just any Reploid! It was Iris!

“No!” I ran to her side, and stroked her hair. “Wake up. Please.” She twitched a bit, and rolled over. She began to wake.

“Zero? Don’t leave me. Stay with me...” She smiled.

“Don’t worry, I’m here. Just relax....” I held her gently, and she wrapped her arms around me. All of a sudden, I felt a peircing pain through my chest. “What the hell? No! I’ve been fooled!” I dropped her, and she disappeared. I held my chest, and turned around. Sigma was behind me. I looked at him for a second. “Wait, your not real. Your just an image in my mind. You can’t hurt me!”

Of coarse, he had something else to say about that. “Oh really? Let’s just see how invincible you really are!” He stabbed my, and I bled horribly.

“No! Your not real! How is this!?”

“You haven’t overcome your greatest of all fears, yet. You cannot get rid of me, until you do that!\"

Chapter 3
Dynamo


I got up, and slowly approached Sigma. “Well, well, well. Lookie what we have here. Can you answer me one thing? Why are there records of you singing in the shower with a rubber ducky?”

Sigma’s face turned bright red. “What the hell are you talking about? I did no such thing!”

As Sigma was freaking out, I stabbed him, and he disappeared. I began on my way out, since I obviously overcame my fears. I saw the exit, and saw Axl. I ranover to him, and asked him a question. “Axl, how was it?” As I said this, I swear his jaw dropped to the floor. “What’s wrong?”

Axl could barely speak. “L-look o-over there! Those Ma-mavericks! S-Sigma.” I looked behind myself.

“Shit!” I drew my Sabre, and stood still.

A black Reploid with a red visor looked at me. He was tall, with grey hair, and a wide smile. “Ah, you must be the famous Maverick Hunter, Zero. You seem a bit startled. Heh, you like my army? Heh, I will have it all my way now! All these souls are now mine! Oh, did I mention that I am Dynamo? Yeah, all the Dynamo in Dynomite! See ya!” He teleported with all the Mavericks.

“......I only have one thing to say....That was insanly corny.......”

Axl looked at the smoke in the air. “....Yeah....Very.....”

“Heh, last one out is a rotten scrap pile!” I bolted toward the exit. Axl ran as fast as he could. As we got out, we saw the beutiful landscape. “There, there it is. The Hunter HQ. We better hurry.” We ran, and I slipped, and came crashing down the hill on my chest. My face was dirty. “Heh, I’m ok. Let’s get going!”

Axl followed me, as we came near the back entrance. The building was huge. I walked to the scanner next to the door, and lined my eye up with it. A voice came. “Access Granted. Welcome back, Zero!” Axl looked amazed.

We came in, and a blue Reploid approached me. He was tall, but a bit childish. He welcomed us. “Hey! It’s really you! Alia said you were dead, and you would never come back!”

I had to laugh at that. “Ok, the fun is over. We have some serious things to talk about!”

Ok, theres that part. I just had to add rthe rubber ducky thing. I mean, I can just imagine Sigma in a shower singing with a rubber ducky. Can\'t you?

Chapter 4
The Elf Wars Begin


“Ok, the Red Light Syndicate is coming. Get prepared, X. I was there. Tons of troops. Long story short, millions of troops are coming. Also, Dynamo has resurrected ALL the Mavericks we already killed. We shouldn’t have a threat from them anytime soon. Axl is here to help.” I stopped to gain some breath.

A large crashing sound could be heard. “Shit! Zero, we need to hurry! I think their here!” X ran to get his new armor upgrades from his capsule.

I drew my Sabre. “Axl, we have work to do!” He agreed, and we ran to the closest exit.

Outside, we were met by my advisor. “Hello, went for a stroll I see. You knew what my expectations were, you fool. Get your scrawny ass in there and infiltrate the damn place!” I stood shaking.

“But, we, uh, er, we, um, we got to go! Yeah! See ya!” We ran, and I fell to my knees. “Damnit! Not again!” The collar seemed to be tightening itself this time. I screamed, and Axl turned around.

He dashed at our advisor, and grabbed him by the neck. He held his pistol violently against his head. “You leave Zero alone, or I swear I will pull this trigger on your head!” Axl tightened his grip.

Our advisor grabbed Axl, and swung him madly. Axl managed to get one shot into his Mantle piece before he hit the ground. The advisor grabbed his wounded area in pain. “Damn you, little Maggot! You ruined it! Ok, your in for it now!”

The collar stopped. “Axl, you did it!” I got up, and came to Axl’s side.

Our advisor grabbed Axl and threw him into a wall, as he took his a Pistols. I ran toward him, he attempted to shoot me. I held my Sabre up, blocking every shot I saw coming. It looked like it was no trouble at all. He stopped. “Impossible! You can’t do that!”

Of coarse, I had to take him down before he got too mad. I ran fast, with a deadly grin on my face. I slashed him madly. He shot at me, and pierced my chest. Blood trickled down, but I didn’t give up.

Axl, however, wasn’t going to let me have all the fun. He plunged his body into our advisor’s, causing him to turn around. This was my chance. I stabbed him in the back, and pulled up. Sparks flew everywhere. “Back off, Axl! He’s gonna blow!” We ran for cover, as he exploded.

We hit our fists against each others. “Nice! Let’s go help the hunters!” We ran, and saw that X took out most of the troops.

All of a sudden, a sparkly entity flew past me. I heard a familiar voice behind me. “Get back here, you ‘lil elf! Your mine!” It was Dynamo, master of all cornyness.

I stopped Dynamo, by stabbing his arm. He drew his twin Sabre, and hacked at me, but sadly, he missed every time!

The sparkling entity flew near me, and I grabbed it. Dynamo tried to take it from me. I set it in my hair. “Hold on, ‘lil guy!” It clutched my hair, as I attempted to kill Dynamo.

X came along, and shot a huge power shot at Dynamo. Half his hair went with it! Dynamo turned, and aimed his blaster at X.

X was prepared to fight. “Zero! Take the thing, and run! I’ll take care of Dynamo!” I knodded, and ran. Dynamo tried to follow me, but I was too fast. He had no choice but to fight X.

When I got to safety, the little entity let go. She flew in front of me, and landed on a rock. “Thanks for saving me. I’m Passy, a Cyber Elf. He wanted me for my powers. Listen, you seem like a trustworthy enough Reploid. I have a request.”

I knodded in agreement.

“I want you to help me. There are alot of elves out there. I am a Hacker Elf. With me, you will be able to travel through time, and gather the elves. Our powers must not get into the wrong hands. There are 13 unique elves that are being sought out by many power hungry Reploids. If we are all in the hands of the same man, that man can have whatever he wants! We don’t want to be part of the world’s destruction! Will you please help us?” The elf looked so cute, I couldn’t refuse.

“Yes, I’ll help. Just let me get Axl. He is my friend, and I want him to help too.” I got ready to walk off, and Passy flew into my hair.

“This will be so much fun! An adventure to remember!” Passy held on tight, as I ran to the base.....

Chapter 5
The Time Ring


I made it to the Hunter Base, with Passy on my shoulder. I saw Axl, and went over to him. “Axl, you ready to take part in one of my grand adventures?”

Axl smiled. “Of coarse I am!” At that, we started to walk out the door. I was stopped by Alia.

“Zero, can I see you in the other room for a second?” She grabbed my arm, and brought me to the next room. “Alright, you need to leave. Don’t EVER let me catch you back here ever again.”

I put on a curious look. “Why? What did I do?” I was waiting for a reply.

“You betrayed us. You went along and joined the Red Light Syndicate. You never came back to tell us you were alright. And you gave vital information to them! That’s how they know! You either leave, or be terminated. Take your pick!”

I was furious. “NONE OF THAT IS TRUE!” I clenched my fists tightly to help calm myself down. “I never told them anything, and I never joined them. You left me! I was begging for someone’s help, and you just run off as if it were the wind! I was too weak to carry on! You expect me to walk all the way back with such low energy readings? They captured me! I was forced to be there!”

Alia smirked. “That’s not what Signas thinks. Beside the point, while we were fighting, you were giving secret locations to the commander!”

“Not true! Goddamnit Alia! If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t even be here! If I hadn’t warned you guys of their attack, you would all be a huge scrap heap! In fact, the next time something happens that you don’t know about, I am not even gonna bother to warn you!” I walked out the door, and slammed it shut.

As I walked out, I pegged her the finger. When me and Axl got to a strange cave, Passy spoke up. “Ok, Zero, you are going to have to do alot of time travel. Here, use this ring to travel. The power within it flows through whatever is touching it. Come on, give it a try.”

I slipped the ring around my fore-finger, and thought. In my mind, I cleared all other thoughts. I swear my head would burst at any second! “I can’t take it anymore! It hurts!”

Passy smiled. “Axl, hurry! It’s glowing! Hold onto Zero’s arm!” Axl did as he was told. I saw a huge aura cloak us. All the colors in the world, it was beautiful. All of a sudden, I felt like I was being ripped apart! The next thing I knew, I was in a ruined area.

Axl was next to me. “Axl, r u all right? I swar that wuz like going 2 hel and bak!” I tried to keep a straight face.

“I dunno. Wear r we? Is this sum dump? Ther is trash everywear! Wy, I cood mak 50 speed bikes with al this junk!” Axl cracked up!

“What the hell, you guys! Stop acting like n00bs, and get a hold of yourselves!” Passy had her arms crossed like a mother.

I smiled innocently. “N00b moment! Ok, now where are we?”

Passy looked around. “I don’t know, you guys. I really don’t know.”

All of a sudden, lasers and explosions could be heard from a mile away! I stood in my ready stance. A huge Golem approached. Passy flew to a hiding spot. As the Golem got closer, I drew my Sabre. “Axl, you take this one, and I’ll take the one in the distance!” He nodded, and we took off into action!

I approached the Golem I was after, and realized it was way bigger that me!

(Second Person Speech Started)

Zero went behind it, and climbed it’s back. At the top, he was shooting it’s head. When the Golem noticed, it ran around in circles. It tried to shake him off. Just for laughs, Zero raised his hand and yelled “Listen to the Yeti!” Finally, Zero pulled off some fancy move, and cut it’s head off.

Meanwhile, Axl was still shooting his Golem. Zero approached this Golem, and cut one of it’s feet off. Axl used his shape shifting ability to turn into a Gekko. Then, he said “Golem, you want Geico, not Gekko!” Zero did the finishing blow, and the Golems were history.

(Second Person Speech Ended)

We hit our fists together. “Nice one!” Passy came out, and brushed herself off. “You don’t have to show off. Oh, and the advertisement mimics were corny.”

Chapter 6
Race For The Second Elf!


Passy seemed a bit worried. “While you guys were having your fun, I scouted ahead. Looks like Dynamo is close. If we don’t hurry, he will get to the elf before us!”

I smiled. “Passy, you stay here and hide. Me and Axl will do the rest!” I ran off, with Axl following.

As we got near a strange building, my fore-crystal was killing me! I sensed something nearby. It was very strong. “Axl, that building! A strong energy is coming from it. We better check it out!”

Axl wasn’t too sure about this. “Zero, that building doesn’t look too safe!”

I just kept walking, and Axl followed. As we entered, the room was all beat up. “Well, this looks strange, perhaps even spooky. I sense the presense of someone else, too! It really doesn’t matter. Let’s just go.”

We soon saw a set of stairs. As we climbed them, it seemed like it would take forever to get to the next floor. As we arrived, Axl slipped. “Zero!” I turned to see him holding onto the stairs with one hand. He stepped on some cracked steps, and fell in. As I reached for his hand, he slipped. “Keep going! I’ll catch up!”

I shook my head. No wonder he never went on missions. He was a danger to them. I continues, and opened a nearby door. As I walked in, I saw a Reploid with long, shining hair. “Kodaro....” Once I saw that red hat, I knew It was her. “Iris.....But how?” I slowly walked over to her.


She turned around, and spoke. “So, you have come. Master said you would be here. He says you stop at nothing to help those humans...” Her voice was so soft, yet it sounded possesed.

“What do you mean? Master? Who? You, you are different....” A small tear came to my eye. She is against the humans...Evil...

She stroked her soft hair. “Oh, I mean, Master Dynamo said you would be here. I have to kill you. I must do it before you find the elf and use it’s powers to conquer the world.....Red Maverick....” She drew a pink Sabre.

“There’s that damn name! I am not a Maverick! What is wrong with you!? You’ve been tricked.....” Suddenly, memories of her came rushing through my mind.

She immediatly took advantage of this to strike me. I came to my senses, and drew my sabre, too. She smiled. “My, my. It appears you seem to want to fight. So be it...” She took another slash at my leg.

Meanwhile.....

“Oh no. I have to help him. I sense his need of my power. I better hurry. You better not be dead, Zero!” Passy flew off to the direction of the tower.

Back At The Tower.....

I held my sabre tight. I blocked every slash, and dodged every shot. All of a sudden, Passy flew in. “Stop it, Iris! You don’t want to do this!” Iris immediatly stopped.

“Another elf. Zero, stay back. I’m warning you. I won’t let you kidnap this elf!” Iris walked near Passy.

Passy smiled. “Iris, Zero is not your enemy. Dynamo is. Zero saved me. Dynamo is using you to get this elf. He knows that Zero doesn’t dare make the same mistake he did before. Zero will not fight you. Please, just cool it for now, ok?”

Iris smiled. “Ok, I didn’t realize any of this. I was just doing what I was told.” And with that, she walked to the next door, and opened it.......

Chapter 7
The Vedlt

As she opened it, I walked in to see a containment unit on a well made platform. Iris smiled. “I think this is what you were after. Go on, take it.”

As I drew near, I noticed a farmilliar script.
(Flash Back)

(End Flash Back)

I examined the container with the elf, and noticed the symbol of the sun on it. Also, I notices the strange runes. I began to read them out loud. “Klonoa rests here. If thou must take him, thou has a large responsibilty. Klonoa will lead you to the next elf. He also knows the Legend of us Elves. Hear his words of wisdom, and follow thm well.....” I wonder, if, no, it can’t be.

I held the container, and looked at Iris. We teleported out. As we met Axl, he looked as if he had seen a ghost. I ran over to him. “Axl! Axl! What the hell happened?”

Axl was shaking all over. “Z-Zero, D-Dynamo was here! He beat the s-shit out of m-me!” He regained his composure, and began to question me. “Anyway, did you get the Elf? Huh?”

I pulled out the container with sarcasm. “Does it look like I have the container? Yes, it does.” I pulled the top off, and a elf with hair to his shoulders, blue eues, and a great smile came out.

“Heya! I am Klonoa! Yada yada yay! Ok, you guys are the worlds only hope, blah blah blah.”

I was impatient. “Well? Tell us the Damn story!”

“Okay....” said Klonoa in a soft voice.


(Voice Of Narrorator)


At the end of the Elf Wars, the Mystic 13 Elves were sealed away by a brave, Reploid warrior, in Blue Armor. These Elves were:

Issac: Hidden within the vast ruins of the Temple of Vedlt
Klonoa: Locked in a large Tower that reaches the heavens
Gaia: In the heart of a Sacred Forest, where all time seems to cease
Luna: In a far away realm, awaiting Activation

The other 9 were unknown. They just left. If these 13 are brought together, there power can be overwhelming! When fused with a Reploid, there was nothing that could stop them. So, mankind sits at rest, hoping this power will never be released again........

(End Narrorator)

I was shocked by the story. “Wow, so, this legend is true?”

Klonoa shook his head. “Yup.” Klonoa winked. “Time to go find another elf!” Klonoa began to glow blue, then we were flying through random colors. “Next stop, the Vedlt!”

We fell out of the sky. I stroked my bottom softly with my hand. “Damnit, Klonoa! Could you make that hurt any worst?”

“Yeah.” We fell out of the sky again.

“Damnit! Cut it out, Klonoa! Alright, get in your container!” He flew in, and I closed it tight. I placed it in my pocket, and began to walk. “Come on, you guys. Let’s go!”

We had been walking for hours. Iris was sweating to no end. “Zero! It’s too hot out here!” She twisted her hair, and sweaty water was pouring to the ground.

I was parched. “I guess youir right. But where are we gonna rest? This damn place has no shade!” I felt to the ground. “We’re gonna roast out here! Deep fried Reploid!”

In the distance, there was a boy behind a rock. He had short, spiked green hair, and bright yellow eyes. He was dressed in the hides of many creatures. “Gau. People......” He was covered in filth. You could tell he hadn’t bathed in over a month. “Gau meet people....” He crawled like an animal.

Back to us, we were tired. “Iris, you have any Energeon left?”

Iris groaned. “No, I have none. Axl, do you have any?”

“No. We need some soon, or we will starve.” Axl sighed.

I saw Iris, she was bright red. I grabbed a huge leaf from some plant nearby, and waved it over her face. “Iris isn’t gonna last long out here. She isn’t used to the extreme heat. I’ll scout around. Maybe there is some water nearby.”

I walked off. I continued to walk, and I saw a spring. “Water.” I began to follow it, and stopped. I was jumped, by some wierd cave boy. “Arrrgh! Let go of me, you little demon!”

The boy let go, and curiously examined me. “You not from around here, are you? Me Gau. I help. You thirsty right? Follow Gau!”

I got up, and followed. I was exausted. “Are we there yet?”

He stopped in from of a row of bushes. “Gau show stranger secret waters.” He moved the bushes, and infront of us, stood a large spring, full of water. “Hehe, that other spring you see was illusion. Heat drive people insane.”

I saw the water, and began to stare. “IRIS! AXL! I FOUND WATER! COME HERE!”

Axl grabbed Iris, and followed my voice. “I’m coming!”

As Axl drew near, he put Iris down. The boy, however, was shocked. “Stranger! You leave! You scare me! Go! Gau say go!” Axl looked at him strangly.

“How about ‘no’.” Axl ran to the waters edge.

“Um, Gau, please don’t mind them. They are my friends.” I explained this calmly.

Gau nodded. “Ok. Well, who you?”

I sat near the water, and motioned him to come. I began to soak my face. “I am Zero. That other guy, is Axl. The girl is Iris. We came to find a Legendary Elf.”

Gau jumped up and down. “Gau know elf! Gau see in temple, not too far here! Follow Gau!”

I got up. “Show me. Iris, Axl, I’m going to the Temple with Gau. Stay here and relax.” They agreed, and went back to talking.

As me and Gau walked, he looked up at me. I began to talk. “Um, your name sounds strange. Could I call you, Ikaris?”

Gau thought for a moment. “Yeah! Gau like new name! Me Ikaris!” We saw the temple in the distance. “Zero, this place dangerous. You sure want to go?”

I nodded. “Yes. I have to go.”

Chapter 8
Temple Of The Vedlt


As the two got near, the Temple Door began to close. Zero ran frantically. “Shit! Hurry up, Ikaris! It’s gonna close!” He grabbed the boy, and ran. As he neared the door, it was open about 3 feet. Zero slid under the door just before it closed anymore. “That was close. What do we have here?”

Ikaris ran to a box, and opened it. Many spirits flew around the room. “Gyaaaa! Ikki scared!” Zero dashed over, and shut the box.

“Ikaris, don’t you EVER do that again! That could have been a trap!” Zero shook his head. “Come on. If we don’t get going, we may never find the elf.” Ikaris nodded hesitantly.

A sparkling speck could be seen in the distance. It was a deep green aura. Zero smiled. “Score. There it is. Issac. Wait here, Ikaris.”

As Zero was close to Issac, Ikaris realized what he was doing. He frantically ran after Zero. “Zero! Don’t! It curse all!”

Just as Ikaris said that, it was too late. Issac was in Zero’s containment unit. “What are you talking about, Ikki? Everything is fine!” All of a sudden, dust particals came from the ceiling, and a large rumbling could be heard from below. “Oh Shit! What do we do now?” Zero drew his Sabre.

“We gonna die!” Ikaris ran around in circles.

Zero grabbed him, and ran. Rocks fell from the ceiling. “Damnit! It’s collapsing too quick! We will never make it! Oh shit!” As he looked up, he saw a large lump. Next thing he knew, everything was black........


Chapter 9
The Meaning Of Stealth

After what seemed to be forever, Zero came to. “What the hell happened?” he began in a weary voice. He pushed some rocks off of his body. First thing he saw, was Iris. Tears were trickling down her face. Zero smiled. “H-hello. Who are you?”

Iris was shocked. “WHAT DO YOU MEAN “WHO ARE YOU!?”

Zero could smile no longer. “Sorry, I guess that was considered rude. You mind telling me your name?”

“Axl! Something has happened to Zero! He doesn’t know who I am!” Iris turned to see where Axl was.

Zero was perplexed. “Where’s this Zero guy? Is he nice? Is he a Maverick? Is he smart? Who is he?” He looked like an innocent child. That innocent face, just curious to know what’s going on around him.

Axl ran over. “You know what? This isn’t the Vedlt! We are in sector 175-009! It was a beutiful place. The sun so shiny, the grass so green...WAIT! WHERE THE HELL IS PASSY!?”

Iris looked down at Zero. She grabbed the containment unit, and found it was empty. “Well shit....”

“Wait, don’t tell me....The Elves are gone?” Axl looked at the unit.

“Well, looks like it’s over. Too bad Zero is in this condition. Now we will never make it back...And I didn’t even get to-” Iris was cut off by Axl.

“No, don’t even say it! This can’t be the end!” Axl sighed. “Alright, I’ll admit it. This is the end! No Energeon, no, no, no anything! We are gonna die out here! And we have to babysit a stupid ass Zero!” Axl’s face was red with anger.

Iris-Well, at least things aren’t worse.
Axl-Aren’t worse!? WHAT COULD BE WORSE THAN THIS!?
*A big meteor comes down*
Axl-I had to ask.....Damnit!

The Meteor came, and crushed everything! Axl screamed.

Axl felt a tugging on his arm. There he was, sleeping, and he was mumbling, “Oh shit....it’s the end of the world....Zero dumb...We’re all gonna die.....”

Zero sighed. “Yep, he’s dreaming.” Zero slapped Axl on the face, and he screamed. Zero was curious. “What the hell were you mumbling about?”

Axl let out a sigh of relief. “Well, I dreamed that we woke up, and you had amnesia, and a meteor came and crushed us all!”

Iris laughed. “So, that stagnant water finally got to ya? Took long enough. I told you it would have bad results.”

Zero looked around. “Well, that’s it for the temple. So, Gaia must be next. Wait, that forest is on the other side of the Hunter Base! Hmmm, I guess we have to sneak by. Ok, I got it.” Klonoa then used his power to transport them all to the outskirts of the Hunter HQ.

Gaurds were everywhere. Zero gazed at them. “Ok, I am gonna go through the whole base. When I get through, I will go somewhere safe, and use my Portable Transerver to teleport you guys there. I got the chip. Axl, here. That is the Transerver. Iris, you be my Spotter. Tell me where I might have trouble sneaking around. Got it?”

Everyone looked at him. “Got it! Good Luck!” Everyone watched Zero go down the hill.

Zero turned around, smiled, and put his thumb up. As he ran down the hill, he got a transmission from Iris. “Zero, there are alot of gaurds down there. They seem to be moving in a patern. There is a gaurd at the entrance, but he is sleeping. You should have access from the front. Iris out.”

As Iris said, there was a guard sleeping. As Zero got near, he punched the gaurd in the back of the head, knocking him out cold. “Perfect!” He walked in, and saw Life Savor. “Damn.” As Life Savor got near, Zero saw a gap in the ceiling. He jumped up, and looked down.

Life Savor was annoyed from the ussual day of work, but he wasn’t stupid. “Signas, I sense the presense of someone.... Not sure who, but it’s someone...”

“Probably one of the gaurds slacking off.” Signas replied. “Continue your work.” Life Savor nodded.........

Chapter 10
X Lends A Hand



Zero’s hands were covered in sweat, that rusty smelling sweat. He was slipping. “Shit. if I fall, I’ll never get to the other side of the complex.” he whispered under his breath.

Life Savor walked off, and Zero fell, lightly like an expert Ninja. His feet made no sound as they touched the floor. He noticed that too many Hunters were on their way in from their shift. Zero, like the sly little fox he is, found a vent in the ceiling. As he got in, he pushed the vent cover back on.

Zero was slowly sliding alond. “Damnit! Whoever built these, made them so damn small.” Zero heard a click, and hit his trasmitter with his shoulder.

“Zero, don’t stay up there for too long. You fill the whole thing. When they notice that not much heat is coming up, they will suspect something. Iris out.” Zero slid, moving his body back and fourth. He made it far, but there was a weak point in the vent.

He heard a cracking noise, and the whole thing collapsed! He was now in a farmiliar room, but he rushed to the closet, to that no one would see him.

A blue Reploid with no helmet came in, and saw the ruined vent. He sent a transmission the the counter. “Alia, X here. I just got back. The loud crash you heard was a weak vent. Thats all. I need to rest. X out.” X sighed. “Damnit, when will this stupid dig end?” He heard a small moan from the closet. He got near, and opened the door. There was alot of blood around a red figure. “Zero? How?”

Zero immediatly strained to get up, but failed. “Uh, well, I came through that broken vent. Don’t tell them i’m here. I just want to get to the other side, and go to the forest. Buut, the vent gave away, and I got shrapnel all through my body. Those vents are like slate. They chip easily, and-” Zero was cut off by X.

“Shhh, someone’s coming.” X closed the closet, and walked around. A pretty female reploid came in.

“X, is there anything you need? Energeon?” She smiled.

“No thanks. I’m all set. Bye.” As the door shut, X ran to the closet. “Zero, I’m glad to see you in one piece. You on some mission?” X glared at Zero.

“Um, yeah, you could say that. And this mission is going well. I suppose you want to know what it is?” X nodded. Zero began again, “I need to gather 13 Cyber Elves that contain insane power. I’m not insane. Apparently Dynamo wants them. He has a whole army! Milon, Sigma, Colonal, Jet Stingray, you name it! He has them all!” Zero was out of breath.

“Ok, I will help you fulfill this. I don’t want you to get caught. I’m not going to tell about Dynamo, because the Hunters are on a dig for some old evil capsule. Meanwhile, why don’t you rest?” X smiled in that innocent way he always did. Zero could not refuse that smile......

Chapter 10
A Grand Ride


Zero sat in X’s Capsule, and closed his eyes. X hooked him up, and Zero went off into a deep sleep......


(Flash Back Begin)

In a dimmly lit room, stood a Red Capsule. In it, was a Red Reploid, with long blonde hair. His eyes slowly opened. A man was standing outside this Capsule, staring in, in a strange, evil kind of way. “Zero, my son, my Master Piece....You must KILL X! He will ruin my plans if you don’t stop him. Later....I have to put down that useless Bass....” The man slowly walked out of the room, as Zero sat there confused. Suddenly, a Metool came in, and opened the Capsule. It began to drag Zero across the room.....

(Flash Back End)

X was dragging Zero to the closet hastily. He closed the door, and began talking to Alia. “X here. I’m gonna just wander the grounds, and help a little today. X out.” He turned the transmitter off, and opened the closet. “Zero, rise and shine! Stay here, I will see if anyone needs me to move an Energeon Box out back.” X walked off before Zero could reply.

In the hall, Double was pushing a crate on a seet of wheels. He was mumbling to himself. “Damnit, fat man. If you want this shit moved so bad, why can’t you get off your fat ass and do it yourself?” X walked over.

“Heh, Double, I will take that for you. You just go relax.” X smiled, and Double walked off. X pushed this crate to his room, opened the top, and told Zero to get in.

Zero got up, and ran to the crate. “Ok, just don’t lose me.” Zero crawled into the crate, and X shut it. Zero was surrounded by Energeon Crystals.

X began pushing the Crate through the base, and as he got outside, he looked for a good spot to let Zero out. He spotted one, and moved the crate. One of the Hunters were causing trouble, and kicked X, and pushed the crate down the nearest hill. X freaked out. “Hey, what the hell did you do that for?” X began to run down the hill. The crate was moving fast.

Zero could have sworn he was gonna keel over. He held his chest, and began to breath hard. “This is the end...” he was thinking. The crate hit a rock, and went off balance. It continuously rolled over on it’s side, and Zero was rolling around with it. He hit his head several times against the wood. As it hit the bottom of the hill, it exploded upon impact. Energeon flew everywhere!

As X reached the bottom, he saw Zero coughing up Energeon. He ran to Zero’s side. “Zero, are you alright? Oh god, that can’t be good. Look, the gaurds should be around soon to check out what happened. We have to run for cover in the trees.” He helped Zero up, and they ran to safety....

Chapter 11
The Dark Sides



As Zero and X were safely tucking away in the bushes, Zero got another transmission from Iris. “Zero, what was that noise? I had lost contact from you for quite a while! Is everything ok?”

Zero let a sigh of relief. “Of coarse everythings ok. X got me to the other side of the base in one piece, so I guess it’s alright. Heh, I got the transerver. You guys get ready. I’m gonna begin the transfer!” Zero pressed a few buttons on the Portable Transerver, and set it on the ground. Iris, Axl, and the elves suddenly materialized. Zero smiled. “See? I always make it through. You need to stop worrying so much! Heh, are we ready?”

Iris nodded. “I guess I really should stop worrying....Oh, what? Yeah, I’m ready. Let’s go.”

So, they continued into the woods, and found the gate. It was translucent. X seemed skeptical. “Zero, are you sure we should be going through this strange thing? I mean, we don’t even know what’s behind it!”

Zero put his thumb up. “Everything will be fine. This is the way to find Gaia, the elf we are looking for. We just go through this gate, and we will be there. Then, all we have to do, is find him.....” Zero walked into the gate, and disappeared....

In this forest, everything was deep green, and very beutiful. Axl, along with the others, appeared out of no where. Obviously, through the portal. Iris looked all around. “This is so beutiful. I’ve never seen anything so pretty!”

Zero looked around. He pointed to his left. “We go....That way! Then, if that fails, we will go the other way.”

Axl interuppted. “What the fuck? It would be easier if we split up!”

Zero, very annoyed, began to explain the plan. “Fine! Axl, you go with Klonoa, Passy, and X. I will go with Iris and Issac.”

Axl scolded Zero. “No, Iris comes with me, X goes with you. We don’t need any Romance on this trip!”

Zero’s face went red. He pegged Axl the finger, and walked off. “Come on X. I bet Axl is just jelous that Iris likes me. Hmmph! What an ass!” X followed Zero, though he was still wondering why he was arguing with Axl so much.

As they came to a fork in the path, Zero sensed something, “Wait, I feel something...Strong Energy readings, about our size....Hmmmm.....” Suddenly, they were jumped by 2 black Reploids. Zero was thrown back. “What the fuck? No, this can’t be....X! Watch out!” X was shot, and Zero ran to his aid.

X charged a plasma shot, and shot one of the foes. “Take this!”

Zero, however, was no match for his foe. This Reploid was tossing Zero all over the place. Once Zero got up, it grabbed him by the throat. Zero was gasping for air. He looked into the Reploid’s eyes, and saw red fury, similar to his own. It had long black hair. Zero screamed. “No! I-It can’t be! There can be no other! What the hell is happening? This ju-” Zero was cut off, by the squeezing of his throat.

Dark Zero smiled. “You worthless, pathetic fool. I am stronger than you in every way. You can never defeat me. Give up!”

Zero looked up. “Arghh, n-no. Ack!” He was struggling to get loose. He needed air, and soon. Without breathing, the air would never cycle through, thus, resulting in Stasis. Zero grabbed Dark Zero’s hands, and tried to pull them away.

Dark Zero grinned. “You look like a lifeless fool, suffering, tryingto survive. Pathetic. I’ve never seen such bull shit. Oh, oops, did I break a vein? Oh dear, it seems I did. What a pity.” Zero’s neck was bleeding. The acids from inside were leaking out, drizzling down Zero’s chest. Zero was going insane throught the pain.........

Chapter 12
A Night To Remember

As Zero stared into the clone’s eyes, he lost all hope. He knew he was going to bleed the Energeon out his throat. The clone began to laugh. “Yes, now you see what you used to be. Isn’t it great? Heh, I’ll spare you if you agree to come with me.” Zero hesitated. The man smiled lightly. “I take that as a no. Fine. You will now be TERMINATED!” Zero struggled, and managed to get out of his grasp. As he fell to the ground, he got up and ran. Dark Zero Vanished, and Zero met up with X in the next area.

Zero looked around. “Well, looks like we’re screwed!” Just as Zero said that, he saw Axl and the others in the distance. “Maybe we’re not!” He ran to them, and they stopped.

X was exausted. “Ok, fuck it. We stay here tonight. We go tomarrow at dawn.” X sat down, and stroked his head.

Axl wasn’t tired at all. “I’m gonna go train a bit. See ya later.” Before X had a chance to reply, Axl was gone.

Iris walked up to Zero. “I wanna talk to you. There’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you. Follow me.” Iris walked off, and Zero followed. When they got to an area where the moon was shining, they stopped. “Zero, I don’t know how to say this, but, I like you. No, I more than like you...”

Zero smiled. “Love too strong of a word for you? Heh, you can act very strange, sometimes.”

Iris grabbed Zero’s hand. “No matter what happens, when I’m with you, I have fear nothing. When I’m with you, I’m strong, because I know your there to back me up. I feel safe when I’m with you....” Iris smiled.

Zero knew something strange was gonna happen, so he just prepared himself mentally. “Do I really look that strong? Come on! I’m a frickin’ twig! Ah, well, I guess your waiting for me to say something....So, I like you.....Alot.....” Zero’s face went red. He couldn’t believe he was saying this.

Iris put her arms around him “Yeah, well, your emotionally unstable, so I don’t expect you to be thrilled.” There was a silence. Zero returned the hug, and smiled.

“Well, we best get going if we don’t want Axl to get jelous! He doesn’t want to see me around you. Heh, come on.” They got up and headed back to X. When they got there, they got ready for bed, and Zero drifted off into a strange dream.....



Chapter 13
Kenfugi River

As the sun rose, Axl got up, and pushed on X’s body, trying to get him to wake up. X woke up, and Axl kicked Zero with his fot. Zero got up, and was not pleased. Axl lightly tapped Iris, and she woke up too.

They began to walk, and Zero stopped. X turned, and saw Zero staring the other way. “Zero, what’s wrong? Do you see something? Is it bad?” X ran over to Zero, and noticed that Zero wasn’t paying attention. “Zero! Answer me! What’s wrong? Do you see something?”

Zero sighed. “No, and where the hell is the forest? Somethings not right. We didn’t leave the forest, but suddenly, we appeared in this wasteland!”

X looked around. “No, we are on the Ocean! I see an Island in the distance!”

Iris noticed something odd. “No, these are Illusions! Their here to get us confused, so we don’t make it....Look, there’s a dead body over there. It looks like he died out here....Maybe we should turn back....”

Zero examined the body. “No, it looks like Chill Penguin tried to make it through here. If that’s Chill Penguin, then we must be-wait, I see Spark Mandrill’s body over to the left! And Toxic Seahorse’s! We are going the right way, sorta. This must be the way to another Elf. Dynamo sent these fools here, to retrieve it, but they couldn’t, because they fell to the illusions. We need to think.”

Axl pondered this thought. “Well, I remember at the Syndicate, they told us stories about their journey through here. It’s all not real. The objects we see aen’t here. We need to go straight. We can walk through the objects, because they don’t really exist. When you go around them, you turn your path slightly, then you end up going around in circles.”

X took command. “Ok, we go straight, and we don’t stop! Let’s go! We need to find that elf!”

As they walked, the wind blew harshly. Zero’s hair blew all around. They saw more corpses. Storm Eagle, Wire Sponge, Launch Octopus, Boomer Kuwanger, Armored Armadillo, Sting Chameleon, and Overdrive Ostrich. The wind grew extremely strong, and it blew Iris away. Zero caught her, and held her hand. They didn’t want anyone flying off.

Zero sighed. “Are we there yet? It’s cold out here! Iris can’t take much more of this! The wind just keeps getting stronger!” Zero had Iris get up on his shoulders, so he could hold her so she woundn’t get blown away.

X smiled. “LOOK! OVER THERE! WE MADE IT! IT”S A VILLAGE! WE’RE SAFE!”

Axl smiled as well. “Finally. Let’s run. Something doesn’t feel right.”

They started a sprint, and made it past the Illusional Barrier. They were now at a village. There was a mountain nearby, many houses, and a long river. The grass was so green.

“We made it...” Zero smiled. He put Iris down, and ran over to the closest villager. “Have you heard of an Elf?”

The old man replied “Yes, he is a Legend. They say he lives in that mountain over there! He protects us!”

Zero smiled. “Thank you for your help. I’ll be on my way now.” Zero ran over to X, and smiled. “We stay here for the day, and head to that mountain at midnight. The elf is a legend, so I don’t think they want us going there and taking him. For the meanwhile, let’s just sit back, and relax!” They found a nice spot, and sat down.......

Oh, and this whole time, I forgot to mention, Variable was a part of this too! He helped with the names of the elves, and the title of this story, and a character that we have yet to meet!

This is really turning out great!:cool: This would do awesome as a game, but it would be hard to make.

The Clan


Zero sat up. “Wait, what about Gaia? We never found him!” Zero got up. “We need to find him!”

Axl rolled over. “Screw it, Zero. We can come back to him later.”

Iris smiled. “Oh Zero! I got Gaia! Silly!”

They were relieved. They began to tell jokes to pass the time. Axl smirked. “Oh! I got one, I got one! Ok, these guys walked into a bar! You would think the third one would have seen it coming!”

Zero sighed. “Axl, that was pathetic! We’ve heard that one what, 300 times now? It’s old!”

Axl got angry. “Oh yeah? Well let’s see you think of a better one! Huh? Huh!?”

Zero smiled. “Kay, Yo momma is so fat, she could sell shade!” Zero winked at X.

X giggled. “Well, Yo momma is so dumb, she sat on the TV, and watched the couch!”

Zero winked at Iris. Iris smiled. “Yo momma is so dirty, the US Navi used her bath water as a biological weapon!”

Zero smiled. “YO MOMMA FEST!”

Zero: You momma’s feet are so ugly, they filmed Crocodile Dundee in her bath tub!
X: You momma’s so stupid, she brought a spoon with her to the Super Bowl!
Iris: Yo momma’s so dumb, when she was locked in the matress store, she slept on the floor!
X: Yo momma’s so stupid, when she saw a bus full of white kids go by, she said “Follow That Twinkie™!

(3 Hours Later)

Zero was tired. “Well, that’s all of them. At least, all the ones I know. It’s really dark out. I’m guessing, 11 o’ clock. I say we get going.”

As they sneak around, they hear a strange chant near the mountain. “OMG! STFU! LMAO! LOL! BTW! AKA! FYI! WTF! DILLIGAF! DISM!”

X was shocked. “What the hell kind of Nazi speak is that!?”

The chant got louder. “OMG! LOL! OMG! LOL! OMG! LOL!”

“Wait, if it’s getting louder, then....NO!” A bunch of freaky dudes ran in, and through rocks at Zero and them! X went down, soon to be followed by Axl. Then Iris. Zero was the last man standing. “What the hell are you doing!?”

The freaky dudes yelled. “FU! FU! GTH! GTH! GTH!”

“Look, I’ve already been there! What have I ever done to you!?” Zero backed up. Though these people were smaller than him, they sure were leathal!

“WE KILL U! YES, WE R GONNA KILL U!” They threw another rock at Zero, and Zero just backed up some more. A large rock hit Zero, and we fell unconcious. “Heh,teach them not to dis our mommas, or our leader!”

A little dude with a fro, spoke up. “I say we take that blonde, and rip his scrotum off!”

Another dude ran over. “Gee, I dunno, I have something that would be worse. What if we take the blue one, soak him in acids, take the red one and that girl, and burn them in oil, and take that last one, and rip his off!”

“Come now, al of that is harsh. Why don’t we do something worse?”

The fro dude stood up. “What could be worse!?”

“We put them in a cell in the mountain, and we let our leader torture him!” Everyone wispered quietly.

(24 Hours Later)

Zero slowly opened his eyes. He tried to get up, but he was chained to the floor. Iris was over top of him, with her arms around him. X and Axl, were right next to them. The Cell was small, and barely any light could get in. There was a small opening in the East side of the Cell.

Something came through the hole. “Take that, and eat it! It’s all your getting ‘til supper!”

Zero reached near the wall, to grab a rock. “What the fuck? They expect us to eat these fuckin’ rocks?” Irin moaned a bit, and turned over. She was now tangled in the chains. “Oh no.” Zero tried to untangle them, but it was no use. A large screach could be heard.

Iris squeezed Zero hard. She was scared. Zero looked around, then looked at Iris. “So, your finally awake?” He smiled, and stroked her hair.

“Where are we? What is this place?” Iris was concerned.

Axl and X began to wake up, and they yawned. “What the hell?” Another large screach could be heard.

Zero looked up. The ceiling was armed with extremely sharp spikes. The ceiling was slowly coming down. “Shit! At this rate, we will die!”

Tears came down Iris’ face. “What? OH MY GOD!” They were doomed..........

Yes, can you imagine if you you were in a room about to be impaled by spikes? I can. It\'s not a pleasant thought! The OMG stuff was to make a bit of fun, of the n00bs!

That was funny zero and the mommy jokes were good to.
