Chapter 15
The End?

Zero pushed Iris off of him. He got up. and looked around. He tried to reach for the spikes, but his hands were chained to the floor. “Damnit! X, Axl! Break these chains!”

X and Axl got ready. Axl loaded his pistol with a special bullet. “Ready? Here we go!” Axl shot the chains, and they fell off.

Zero got up. “Ok, bust the chains for everyone else. I’ll see what I can do about the ceiling!”

Iris freaked out. “Zero! You can’t! You get hurt!” X pulled Iris back.

“Iris, let him do this. He knows what he’s doing.” X tried to calm her down.

Zero noticed that the ceiling was so much closer now. It would touch his head in 5 Minutes! There was a hole in the wall nearby. Zero crawled through, to find a Light Pod. The hologram appeared, and greeted Zero. “Welcome Zero. What brings you here?”

A ray of hope shot through Zero’s heart. “YES!” Dr. Light was puzzled. Zero went on. “Dude, well, ya see, me, X, Axl, and Iris are in a tight situation. We are yrapped in this room, and the ceiling is falling.”

Dr, Light laughed. “Teenagers. They don’t know when to-” He was cut off by Zero’s tight grip around his neck. Though the hologram was transparent, Dr. Light’s technology made it possible for him to maintain true form.

Zero was pissed. “You better find some way to help, NOW! I am not shitting you! We need your help! The ceiling is armed with spikes. We have 3 minutes to try and stop this thing!”

Dr. Light started to think that Zero was going Insane, but he granted Zero an upgrade so he could blast through walls. “Be careful with this. It can level a whole city! Use with extreme caution. Good Luck.”

Zero crawled back through the wall, to find that the ceiling was too low. If he blasted the wall now, there would be nothing to support the ceiling. Thus, it would fall and kill them. “DAMNIT! Ok, new plan. X, take this buster upgrade. When I say so, shho the east wall!” X knodded.

Zero stood up, with his gands tight against the ceiling. The spikes went through his hands, and he was moaning in pain. Blood was trickling down his arm. He pushed hard, and signaled X. X blasted the wall, and everyone got out. Zero, however, was stuck to the ceiling. If he let go, it would fall before he could get out.

Iris looked back. “ZERO!” This got everyone’s attention. Even the guards.

Zero was still moaning, very weakly. He lowered to his knees, and then on his back. The ceiling was a foot away from the ground. 6 inch’s away from him. “Damnit! Why me? WHY!?”

The guards stooped them from coming to Zero’s aid. X was freaking out. “NO! YOU CAN’T DIE! DON’T LEAVE ME!”

Zero was very weak. He was barely concious, but his arms were. He began to hear things. He was lost in a hopeless world. Zero was almost crying. “No, I never got to spend time with you.....I...I....I love you, Iris.....” Iris was crying. Would she ever see him again? She could only hope.....

(Begin Narrorating)

In a puddle of Blood, on a floor, in a deserted lab, lay Zero, our last hope. Gaping holes through his chest, armor all pierced to shreds. It has been 8 weeks since his accident, yet no one has seen him. Iris was back at home, still sulking. The elves were now in Dynamo’s hands. He only had a few, thankfully. There is still hope. It lies in the hands of a Mystic Reploid from the Gemini Union. Past all a blur, this Reploid seeks revenge, and only that.........


Chapter 16
Variable


A tall Reploid stood, in various armors, with a Cyber Elf floating about his head. His hair, fairly sized. A face that looked so kind, yet could strike fear into anyone’s heart...

This elf, had a red aura. “So, now what? They took our ride armor, and now we’re lost!” The elf shook madly.

The tall Reploid sighed. “Rubi, we will find a way out of this. We always do. Besides, what’s the point in giving up? Surrendering is for the week minded. We’re not weak. Come on. I see a building in the distance. That might provide help.”

The two walked for about a mile. Both tired, and thirsty. As they approached the building, They heard something. They turned to see that they were under siege.

Rubi smiled. “Well, let’s kick some ass!” She flew over to a chubby looking soldier, and zapped him with a red beam.

The other, took out his V-Buster, and shot madly in all directions.

Rubi almost got hit by it. “Watch it!” She said dismally.

As all the guards were fighting, they all died. Rubi and the Reploid went into the building. In the middle of the room, lay a mangled Red Reploid in a huge puddle of blood. Rubi looked at him. “Wow, he sure was beaten up. He looks like he fought for his life...No one else would die like that. They would run.”

The tall Reploid studied him. “Hmmm, we might be able to fix this.”

Rubi glared back. “Are you suggesting we help this total stranger!?”

“Yes. He may be our only hope. We are lost, with him, he might be able to lead us out of this dump. If, he is that kind of Reploid. We have to try.”

Rubi flew over to the body. “Your right. Ok, I’ll use a fraction of my power to revive the systems. You get the Energeon for him to run on.” Rubi began to glow. Soon, the body began to glow. The other Reploid fixed the rest of the systems, and shook his head.

Zero slowly opened his eyes. As he looked up into the red glow, he could only think of one thing. “I-Iris?”

Rubi giggled. “My, you must have someone on you mind! No, I’m Rubi, a Cyber Elf.”

The other looked down. “And I, am Variable. You are going to help us.”

Zero got up, clutching his blood red chest. “I am? I mean, yeah, sure. I’m Zero. Wait, Issac? Where is he? Gaia? Klonoa? Oh no!” He stood up, and looked around frantically.

Variable was now curious. “Now, what are you saying?”

Zero sighed. “My elves...Their gone...”

Variable smiled. “You mean this one I found on my way?” He held up his containment unit. A green glow came from inside.

Zero smiled. “Issac?”

Variable opened the unit, and let it out. “Here.”

Issac was crying. “Zero, their gone! Dynamo took them! I hid, but I couldn’t save the others!”

Zero smiled. “As long as Dynamo doesn’t have you, there’s nothing more he can do, with Gaia and Klonoa. First, we help our new companions.”

“Companions?” Variable was askew.

“Yeah, we help you, and you help us. I need another ally, you see. My others escaped, thinking I was dead. I don’t have any record of where they are. We have a mission to fulfil. Can you, by chance, help?” Zero looked sincere.

Variable thought about it. “Sure. We can help.” So with that, they were off..........

Chapter 18
Dynamo Joins The Republic


The new team began to walk, through the uninviting night. So lonely. Variable looked ahead. “There we go, back where we started! DAMNIT!” He shook his fists wildly.

Zero laughed. “Variable, that may be where you started, but it’s the right way. In fact, I’m not seeing what your seeing. I hate this place.”

Rubi stopped. “Wait, if we look that way, we ARE seeing the same thing.”

A strong wind blew across the two warrior’s hair. Zero looked ahead. “NO! It’s gone! This is a huge wreckage! There should be a little village here! What happened!?” Zero looked around, then sighed. “Ok, we are in an area where nothing is real. It was set up so no one could pass. It’s simple, just walk through the objects you see. Don’t go around, because it will mess up your coarse, and you will go around in circles! Ok, let’s go.”

Variable was speechless. Rubi stared at Zero in surprise. “He is very smart. Looks like we made the right choice, asking him....”

They all began to walk, and for hours, they still didn’t find the other side. Variable was tired. “Zero, can we rest? We’ve been traveling for hours!”

Zero sighed. “We’re gonna die. We screwed up. We should have been at the other side by now.....” A silence fell upon them, and they stood still. “Do you hear something?”

Variable closed his eyes. “Yes, I hear something. It sounds like--OH SHIT! Not them!”

Zero drew his Sabre. “Not who?”

“The republic. They have been chasing me for months. They chased me this far. Zero, we have to run.”

“WHY!?” said asked Zero in surprise.

Rubi was shaking with fear. “They don’t normally have that many troops. They have outnumbered us by so much!”

Zero used the lens in his left eye to get a closer look. “DAMNIT! We have a problem. They have joined Dynamo. I am too weak to fight him. The elves will have to wait. Come on, let’s go.”

“Where?”

“We are running away. They have too many Mavericks. If I were in top condition, I would have taken them on.” Zero began to run in the opposite direction. Variable and Rubi followed.

“Looks like we have company!” Variable turned his head, and shot wildly at the others, with his V-Buster.

“We can’t afford this! Issac, be my spotter! Look behind us, and tell us how close they are!” Zero kept running.

Issac twitched in fear. “Zero! Their too close! We can’t out-run them!”

Zero stopped, and Variable slowed down. “What the hell do you think your doing, Zero!?”

Zero charged his Sabre. “We can’t out-run them. We have to fight. I know it sounds crazy, but we have to.” Zero dashed at the army of republicans, and one by one, heads fell to the ground. Zero jumped on one, snapped his neck, and preformed Kuenbu on a few of the others. Zero was now in the middle of a group of them. He trust his fist into the ground, and screamed, “RAIKENHOUHA!” A huge aura surrounded him, and it spread quite a distance, destroying everything in site!

Variable and Rubi were astounded. “Wow, that is some serious skill!”

Back with Zero, he leaped high, preforming another Kuenbu, deactivating 5 more republicans. He used Hyruetsuzan on 3 more reps, and Ryuenjin on the next five. Their numbers were going down fast. Tengu Man was flying above, and he swooped down at Zero, stabbing him with three Tengu.

In the distance, a Black Reploid was conjuring a mysterious portal. He then dashed at Zero. “Zero! Come on! I got a way to escape!” As Zero heard this, he motioned Variable and Rubi to come. They followed. The reps were close behind. “Go in that portal. I’ll be there! I have to be the last one out, so it shuts on them!”

They all hurried into the portal, and the Black Reploid followed, as the portal shut. “Heh, looks like you never change, Zero. Hah, always getting into trouble.”

Zero laughed. “Yeah, I guess your right. I’m glad you found us when you did, Forte.” Zero brushed all the dirt off of him, and relaxed.

“You ready for your toughest challenge yet? I know what you seek. She’s here.” Forte glanced at Zero.

“I think so. So, there is another elf here? Coolness!” Zero rose his fist in a victory stance.

Variable looked at Zero. “You do realize that your life is getting tougher, don’t you? Well, either way, you helped me, so I owe you one.”

Forte smiled. “Zero, I may be dead, but I still live in you. Now I realize that you do have a decent heart. I am alive, now. Thanks to Dynamo. Zero, here. You deserve this.” Forte passed a strange chip to Zero. “It is what X has. I have it too. Install it, and you will be able to steal a Maverick’s special ability, by just touching their body. It’s like a scanner. Well, I’d best get going. I still need to find Treble. Farewell, brother.......

Zero watched Forte walk into the distance. “Well, looks like we should be on our way.” Zero installed the special chip, and they were off.........

I'm not going to update for a few days, because I need to talk to Variable about "Variables" past with the Gemini Union. Very confusing story, but you gotta give him credit. He thought all that up on his own. I think Variable will stay in the story for quite a while, maybe even become a main character!

I plan to put more action into this. I do realize a huge plot-hole I made, but I fixed it. If you ever have doubt or don't see something, you should look back. Chances are, you missed something. Man, I'm beggining to sound like Dave Anez! It must be a contagious Fan Work thing.....

Chapter 19
Big Gnome


Variable kept a stern look, as always. Zero looked around. “Well, looks like your with us, Variable. We’re fighting against the same team. Let’s go north.”

Variable grabbed Zero by the shoulder. “Are you sure you can handle this? Your severly injured. Don’t you need rest?”

“How funny of you to worry like that, Variable.” Rubi smiled.

“Why worry about me? I’ll be fine. I’ll just use this-” Zero reached for the band around his leg, and found no Sub Tanks attached. “What the hell? Oh, forget it. I can handle it.”

“Ok, suit yourself.” Variable began to walk. Zero followed, then saw a shimmer in the distance.

“An Elf! It’s Aura is so obvious!” Zero got his Containment Unit out and ran over to the delecate electronic piece of data. “You, you need to come with me.”

The Elf giggled. “I dunno, mom might not be too happy about that! Hee hee!” She flew around Zero’s head. “Oh Eneral!”

As she called, a little Gnome walked over. “You called?”

A bigger Elf flew over. “Hmmm, a red toaster with long blonde hair.....”

Zero went red with fury. “I am NOT a Toaster! For your information, I am a REPLOID! R-E-P-L-O-I-D! REPLOID!”

“My aren’t you short tempered. Here, I’ll be the fire to light your match!” The slightly larger elf Merged with the Gnome, and became a huge battle Gnome. “Well, I suppose you want my daughter, Luna. Many have come by looking for her. You can’t have her. Now that your here, you can suffer the same fate as the others!”

“Oh, shit!” Zero jumped back as the Gnome dove forward. Zero looked back up, and drew his Sabre. “I didn’t want to have to do this, but, HYAAAAA!” Zero dashed forward for a slash, but only cut it’s leg. As Zero turned around, an enormous leg kicked him into a wall. The crash was loud, and the damage was severe.

Variable, however, had a better idea. “Rubi, let’s get the Elf. Zero is the distraction. We should have enough time to snatch the elf, and run.” Variable ran over to the little elf. Rubi created a sound-proof barrier, so it couldn’t call it’s mother. Variable put it in his containment unit.

Zero slowly got up, clutching his dented chest. He could barely move. The Gnome looked at Zero aggresively. Zero shrugged.

Variable put his finger near the elf, and absorbed a little energy. He now had a new attack. He dashed at the Gnome, and jumped up. He couldn’t get to the top in one leap. He climbed it, and shot it’s head a few times. He charged a shot, and blasted it’s back. Variable smiled, then slid a bit down it’s arm.

Variable had a charged shot ready. “Yes, I know i’m a bastard. Cheerio, Love!” He shot a huge aura into the Gnome’s face. It was so shiny. “Zero! Get up! Run!”

Zero got up, and crawled a few feet, and collapsed. As Variable was still unleashing the beam, he looked down at Zero. A huge explosion began, and the Gnome blew up, as Variable was thrown back by the impact. The sky was all covered in smoke. You couldn’t see a thing. Variable succeeded......

Chapter 20
Like Every RPG


As the smoke cleared away, Variable ran to Zero’s side. Zero coughed a few times, and got up. Variable was perplexed. “Wait, that explosion should have killed you at that compacity! Amazing!”

Zero coughed up some rocks, and laughed. “I’m glad this elf was in this rock, or I would have been history!” Zero tickled the elf, and placed in in his Containment Unit. “Shall we get going?”

Variable nodded. They began walking, and found some wierd portal. There was a gate on it, and an Elf in front.

The elf greeted them. “Hello, lost travelers. You want to go to the real world, yes I know, but you need to pass my quiz!” It grinned. “Question One! Of which catagory does this elf belong?” He held up an elf that looked like a clock.

Variable had no clue. Zero grinned. “Ah, it is of the Hacker Catagory.”

The elf nodded. “Question Two! What’s my wife’s name?”

Zero and Variable were puzzled. Zero was angry. “How the hell are we supposed to know your wife’s name!?”

The elf sighed. “That is correct...” Zero and Variable looked at the elf strangly. The elf shook his head. “Question Three! Who’s yo momma?”

Variable was annoyed. “WE DON’T HAVE A MOMMA, SO SHUT THE HELL UP AND MOVE!” The elf was now scared, and he removed the gate.

Zero and the crew continued through the portal, and ended up in some cave. Zero sighed. “Like all the world’s RPG’s...”

“What do you mean?” Rubi announced.

“Oh, we need dynomite from deep inside this cave to blow the door open, but to get the dynamite, you need a gift for the trade, but to get the gift, you need to-” Zero was cut off by Rubi.

“Zero, we get the idea....” Rubi sighed. “Variable, just blast down the damn wall.”

Variable charged a big shot, and blasted the wall, thus making an entrance. “Now what were you saying about the world’s RPG’s?”

They exited the cave, and traveled the field ahead. A big fat Reploid was sitting in the middle of the gate to the next area. Zero ran up the the abnormally large Reploid.

“Move it! I don’t got all day!” Zero stared at the fat Machine in disgust.

“Look, you lil maggot! My name’s Bob, and if you wanna get by, go fetch me a gem!” Bob snarled.

Variable grinned. “Oh, how original! Bob? What kind of name is that?”

“Fetch me my goddamn gems, or you won’t get by, maggot!” Bob looked fiercly into Variable’s eyes.

“I hope you know that your not scaring me a bit. In fact, I have to laugh! Someone with the name Bob, can’t be a serious guy!” Said Variable cunningly.

Zero sighed. “Where do we get this ‘Gem’?”

Bob cackled. “Well, a Goron in Goron City has it, but he doesn’t like strangers. Of course, he will accept anyone who brings him a fine Stirloin. Stirloin come from Snow Head, but that place is freezing. To go there, you need a Fur Coat, but you need to get it from inside Ice Caves, but to get there, you need the Ice Arrow, which the Gerudos tresure. It is deep inside the training course, but to get in, you need a Membership Card. Those are only given to those who are found worthy of any task. To prove you are worthy, you must go to the top of Death Mountain, but it is too hot up there! You need a Red Tunic, but those are only found in Goron City!” Bob paused for a second.

Zero and Variable stared at Bob with their mouths dropped to the ground. “FUCK THAT! GORONS DON’T EVEN EXIST! I MEAN, COME ON!”

Bob giggled. “Too hard for ya? Fine! Get me Sol Blade! To get Sol Blade, you need to travel to Prox, because it is hidden in Mars Lighthouse, but you need a boat to get to Prox. Piers, a Lemurian, owns a boat, but he won’t give you a ride, because he can’t power the ship without the Black Orb. To get the Black Orb, you must go to the Gabomba Statue, because the Witch Docter thinks that this stone is the key to his destiny. He will not hand it over, so you need to take it by force! Go to Tolbi, and have Lord Babi give you his Cloak Ball. This will make you invisable, so you can steal the Orb without them noticing!” Bob stopped once more.

Zero sighed. Variable was sleeping, due to bordom. Zero sat down. “You are so annoying, yu know that?”

Bob laughed. “You suck! Ok, here is an easy quest for you, pansy! Get me Excaliber. Excaliber is deep inside Pazuzu’s Tower, but to get there, you need the Rainbow Stone! This stone is owned by a man in Fire Burg, but he has locked himself inside his house. You need the key to get in, but the key is with a shady character at the Hotel. He rarly speaks, but if you get a chunk of Gold, be will give you the Key right away! To get a chunk of Gold, you need to go to the Sand Temple, but to get there, you need to go through the Focus Tower. To go through the Focus Tower, you need the Sand Coin!”

Zero was furious. “That is fuckin pointless! If you can’t get to the Sand Temple, then you can’t get the Sand Coin! Fuck this! I’m just gonna blow you out of my way!”

Bob laughed again. “To blow me up, you need a Z-Sabre, that is-”

Zero laughed. “You fool, I OWN the Z-Sabre! Good Bye, Loser!” Zero slashed the fat Reploid, and woke Variable up. “Yo, we can go now.” So they went through the gates, unaware of the dangers beyond.....

Yeah, I got caught up in School Shopping. Here is another chapter. I had it half way done last night, but I was too tired to finish it. Well, it's done. Here!


Chapter 21
A New Foe

As our heroes walk through the gate, a strange energy surrounds them. “What the hell?” Zero stopped. “Variable, I don’t see anything wrong, but I feel a strange sensation...” They continued through the gate, and made it to the other side.

Variable was shocked. All of a sudden, all that was green, was now a barren wasteland. A long haired Reploid approached. He had a strange symbol around his left eye, and he wore a big cloak to cover his armored back.

Variable swallowed hard. “Damn you, Raven! Why do you always have to follow me?”

Raven laughed under his breath. “Variable, long time no see! Who’s your Blonde Girl Friend?”

“Goddamnit! I’m NOT a Female!” Zero was red with fury.

Variable gave Raven an evil glare. “He’s NOT my Girl Friend! That’s Zero!”

“Oh? I’m afraid I didn’t hear you correctly. Oh well. I can always play with you both.” Raven cupped his hands, and a green sphere of energy materialized.

Zero knew this was trouble, so he drew his Z-Sabre. “Well, Raven, I would enjoy playing with you.”

“Really? Well then, Mr. Zero, I accept your challenge.” Raven drew an electronic bow that was attached to his right arm. As soon as he fired one at Zero, the battle began, and it raged on.

Zero was Sangfroid, but when it came to those show off fools, Zero was unable to keep his cool. Zero ran after Raven, and when he was close, he did a Dash Jump, followed by Kuenbu.

Raven dodged it. “Is that all you got? Even my underling could dodge that! Your pathetic!” Raven shot an arrow at Zero, and managed to make him flinch. Raven ran around doing all sorts of stunts. Very ipressive to the Human eye. Zero could hardly see him.

Zero closed his eyes. Raven’s Technique was to run around Zero so fast, Zero would see multiple copies. This will have Zero attack the multiple visions, while Raven attacked Zero.

Zero kept his eyes closed, and lifted his helmet a little to exppose his ear pieces a little more. This provided him with sharper hearing.

Now Zero could hear Raven’s footsteps, but they were too quick. Zero now loosened his long bisho hair. His hair was swaying left. Raven was running clock wise around him. Zero calculated the speed of Raven by how much his hair was waving.

Raven was at ease. Zero waited for the right moment, and leaped where Raven was while stabbing him. “Die you cocky Bastard!” Zero held Raven still.

Reaven was shocked. “How!?”

Zero called to Variable while throwing an Ice Chip at him. “Absorb that! Variable, come over here and start pumping bubbles up his ass!”

Variable dashed over, and shot Raven with ice.

Raven began to glow. “It’s not over yet!You will pay!” A huge flash engulfed them, and Raven escaped. Variable and Zero were knocked out by the force of the energy’s impact.....

Chapter 22
Ciel And The Golem

Covered in darkness, Zero lay unconcious. He heard nothing, felt nothing, and saw nothing. Like a void with no end. No escape.....

Zero suddenly felt a shock within the core of his systems. It relaxed him. He opened his eyes to see a helpless girl, with blonde hair, and a pink skirt.

The girl looked desperate. “Help! Please, help me!”

Zero shook his head, and didn’t know what to think of this. He sat there with his normal blank, emotionless stare. He stood up without saying a thing. He went to draw his Sabre, but it wasn’t there. He got his Z-Buster ready, and plowed his way through the hoards of enemies ahead. The girl was close behind, making sure to keep up.

As they reached a ledge, Zero stopped. The girl ran forward, but the ground collapsed. Zero, upon protective instinct, grabbed her before she hit the ground. Zer landed perfectly. His feet were like feathers.

The girl looked up at Zero in shock, her face slightly turning red. “Th-thanks! Um, I think we should keep going.” She slid out of his arms, and began to walk. As they were walking, a conversation began. “Um, you must be Zero. Yeah, you are. I’m, um, Ciel. I’m a scientist. I’ve been looking for you for quite some time.” She looked up to Zero and smiled.

Zero, still with that emotionless stare, replied softly. “What do you mean, looking for me?” Zero silenced himself, knowing that he probaly wouldn’t like the answer. They walked some more, but came to a dead end.

“Goddamnit! A dead end. Now what?” As Ciel began to think, Zero noticed something.

“Ciel! Look out!” By the time he spit out the words, it was too late. A long robotic arm broke through the wall, and grabbed Ciel. It held her delecate human body tightly. She waved her arms around, and screamed. Zero looked up, and saw Ciel being squeezed.

Ciel looked down as Zero entered the chamber. “Zero! Run! You can’t damage this thing with your buster! Just run!” Tears came down her face. She knew she was gonna die.

Zero drew his Z-Buster, and taunted the foe. It happened to be a big Golem. Zero smirked. “Let her go, you big bucket of bolts!”

The Golem heard him, and didn’t like what he was saying. “Make me, you skinny piece of scrap metal!” The Golem shot a huge ray out of his eyes, and tried to shoot Zero, but he was too keen, and dodged it with ease.

Zero braced himself. “Well, I warned you! Now your gonna die! Suck on this!” Zero fired a charged shot at the Golems face, damaging it slightly. The Golem roared, and shot Zero again, and missed him. “What’s the matter? Got sand in your eye? Allow me to help you!” Zero shot the Golem’s right eye. The Golem reeled in pain. It could not believe this was happening.

The Golem got serious, and Zero was unable to shoot him. The lasers in the Golem’s eyes penatrated Zero’s shots. It cut Zero’s leg with it’s high radiation laser. Red fluids flew everywhere.

Ciel was freaking out. She hated seeing people bleed and suffer. She couldn’t stand it.

Zero was still running around, paying no attention to the huge cut on his leg. Zero leaped around, thinking of a way to defeat this thing.

Ciel struggled a bit. “Zero! You can’t defeat this thing! Run! Save yourself!”

Zero still ran around. Another laser hit him, knocking him o the ground. In the back ground, a voice could be heard. Zero twitched.

“Use this! It’s yours! Saver her! NOW!” The voice seemed to have no owner. Zero could care less, at this point. A silver cylinder fell next to him. It had a nice glow to it.

Zero grabbed it, and activated it. He had his Z-Sabre ready to go. He dashed at the Golem, and slashed it across the chest. It blew up, as Zero kneeled over Ciel’s fallen body to protect her from the falling shrapnel. Once the explosion had stopped, Zero got up.

Ciel looked at him. She couldn’t take her eyes off him. “W-wow! Th-that’s incredible! Golems are s-supposed to be invincible! You destroyed it. You are Zero. You have to be.”

Zero looked down at her. “Of coarse I am! That Golem was no problem.”

“But, your wounded. Doesn’t it hurt?” Ciel looked at Zero curiously.

“Of coarse it hurts. I’m fine. It will heal.” Zero looked around.

“Oh yeah, I forgot. Thanks for saving me....twice.....” Ciel stood up and brushed the dirt off of her skirt. “There is supposed to be a transerver around here. I hope it’s still active. Let’s look around.”

They walked for a little while, then Ciel stopped. “Yes, I can feel it. Over here, Zero.” She opened a door, and walked in. Zero followed closly. “Look, the transerver. Let’s use this to get back to base.” She stepped on the round circle, and pressed a few buttons. Zero stood in the circle too. An aura surrounded them, and they dissappeared.......

I'm still thinking about the Republic and Dynamo. Yes, Variable is still in the story. This story will NOT follow the Zero Series exactly. Zero did NOT lose his memory, but he momentarily lost it. Ya know, like when he woke up, he forgot. He still knows.

Hell, another Elf will be found soon! Now I gotta think up the plot for that Elf!

Chapter 23
Battles Are Fun


As they materialized, they were surrounded in a circle of Reploids. Zero didn’t like the look of this. A tall Reploid in a robe with grey hair and a visor stepped forward. “Ms. Ciel, what are the results? Were my calculations correct?”

Ciel stepped out of the circle, and smiled. “Yes, they were. This is Zero.” Ciel pointed at Zero, who was shocked by all the eyes staring at him. “Give him some room, you don’t need to crowd in. Zero, come with me.”

Zero followed, along side the tall grey haired Reploid. Ciel opened a door, and brought them in. The tall Reploid looked at Zero. “Hello, I am Cervaue, the Mechanic around here. Pleased to meet you. Ms. Ciel needs the assistance of you.”

Zero sat down, and looked at Ciel. “Why do you need me? Out of all the Reploids you could have picked! You picked me!”

Ciel closed her eyes. “Zero, you are our last hope. Neo Arcadia is now against us. We are alone, and too weak to go on. You are strong. You are a legend, long forgotten. Washed away in the wrinkles of time. Many of us believed your existance was only a fantasy, but when it came to this, we had to believe.”

Zero looked at Ciel strangly. “Legend? Washed away in the wrinkles of time?”

Ciel looked back at Zero. “You may not realise it, but you have been asleep for nearly 100 years.”

Zero stood up in disbelief. “WHAT!? It can’t have been 100 years! You mean, Dynamo has won?”

“I have no clue what your talking about. Anyway, no one knew what happened to you. A huge war begun, and this is all that’s left...” Ciel sighed.

“Wait, the Elves, they are not found yet?” Zero grabbed his containment unit, and saw all the Elves he had so far, rolled up in the container. “Good. Dynamo didn’t get them. But, wait! Variable!” Zero ran to the transerver.

Cervaue and Ciel followed closely. “Wait! What are you doing?”

Zero stood on the transerver, and began the transfer. “I have unfinished buisness to attend to...” Zero dissappeared, and Ciel was almost crying.

“No, this isn’t happening! We’re finished!” Ciel sat down, with tears flowing down the sides of her face.

Meanwhile, Zero had just made it to the area he fought the Golem in. “Now, to find Variable. He is the only connection to the Republic.” Zero searched all the piles of rubble, and found nothing. “Damn! If I can’t find him, I can’t stop Dynamo.”

Something flew by Zero, and landed near him. “Thought I was dead, did you? I don’t die easily. It takes alot more than that to bring me down.” It was Variable.

A look of relief covered Zero’s face. “Good. Now to go find the other Elves!” They searched the chamber, but found no exit. “Damn! We’re trapped.”

A voice could be heard above them. “Yes, of coarse your trapped! You think Master Harpuia would allow me to let you live? I think not!”

Zero looked up. “What? Who are you talking about?”

“Listen, you out of date scrap heap! Hand over the Elves, and I’ll see to it that your spared! If not, you will be destroyed!”

Zero drew his Sabre. “We can’t hand them over! Why would you need them anyway? I don’t care!”

“Suit yourself. I, Aztec Falcon will terminate you with pleasure!” Falcon swooped down, and grabbed Zero’s shoulders with his Talons. “Enjoy the ride!” He flew around really fast, and Zero was becoming dizzy. As he flew near a wall, he let go of Zero, as Zero crashed face first into that huge stone wall. As a final blow, Falcon ran Zero through with the long sharp edges on his wings.

After Variable saw this, he was a bit scared. Falcon was too fast. Not even Zero could dodge him. Variable drew his V-Buster, and as Falcon swooped down at him, he jumped up onto Falcon’t back. With a charged shot, Variable blew Falcon’s head off. “What a loser!”

Chapter 24
Withdraw


As Zero got up, he started to walk to the transerver, as Variable stopped him. "Aren't we gonna bust our way outta here?"

Zero stopped. "No. We head to the Base, because we can't get out of here." Zero continued to walk and he stepped on the transerver, and disappeared.

As they got back to the base, Zero stepped off of the transerver. "Hello, Cervaue."

Cervaue, out of shock, dropped a bunch of glass vials on the floor, and knocked the monitor off the desk. "Jesus, Zero! Why did you have to scare me? Wait, Zero. Your back! You don't look so good." Cervaue knelt over and cleaned up the glass shards.

"Oh, sorry about that. Eheh, need some help?" Zero's face went red.

"Um, no. Why don't you, wait! Who is with you!?" Cervaue stood up in surprise.

Variable smiled. "I am Variable, and I am here with Zero. No worries, I'm not gonna hurt ya!"

Ciel walks through the door casually. "Cervaue, is your research do- Zero! Your back! Where were you? I was so worried about you! Are you ok? Are you hurt?" She ran to Zero's side, and inspected his body.

Variable laughed. "You sure do have a way with girls!"

Zero looked at Variable disaprovingly. "That's NOT a good thing right now!"

Ciel ran to Cervaue. "You have to repair him. The wounds look awful!"

Cervaue cracked up. "I'll take a look, but Zero's allot tougher than you think he is."

Ciel left, and Variable sat down. Cervaue directed Zero to the work table. Zero layed down, and looked at Cervaue.

"Zero, it won't hurt. Trust me." Cervaue got a tool, and started to carefully remove the chest plate, as it had a huge hole in it. After seeing Zero's insides, Cervaue was freaked out. "HOLY SHIT! Your a model from the year 20XX, but your insides and programming is even more advanced than our current technology! It's amazing! This will take a while to fix, but It will be done."

Meanwhile, Variable stroked Rubi's long shiny hair. "Interesting. So those skills we saw him preform, how smoothly he did it, it's not a coincidence. This Zero really is special, and he is a very important part to everyones existance..."

Rubi looked at Variable strange. "What do you mean, part of everyones existance?"

"It's simple. He prevented so much from happening, like risking his life in a space shuttle, on a collision course to destroy the Space Colony, Eurasia. Or the countless times he prevented Sigma from taking over!" Variable looked at Rubi as if he expected her to know what he was talking about.

Rubi shook her head. "You have only know Zero for a little while, so how the heck do you know all this!?"

"It's a huge part of history. Don't you read?" Variable looked at the door, as it opened. "Looks like we go to bed. Come on Rubi, time to go." They walked to the door, and left.

Later that night, Zero was fixed. Armor wasn't the same, but that's ok, as long as he had some. He saw Ciel walk in. "Zero, do you have a moment?"

Zero nodded. Ciel came over and sat down. "Not much time is left. Neo Arcadia has gathered allies. At this rate, they will get us very soon. We found you, because you are the only one who can help us. You are the only one who is strong enough." As she finished, a huge explosion could be heard, and an alarm went off.

"Calling ALL units! We are under attack! I repeat! Calling ALL units! Get the Elderly and Children out NOW!" The voice was computer animated, so it wasn't anyone speaking, but just a warning.

Zero got up. "Well, this is what your talking about, huh? Well, no problem!"

Cervaue threw an ear piece at Zero. "Use that if you get into trouble! I'll be on the other line!"

Zero drew his Sabre, and dashed out the door. He was cut off by Spark Mandrill and Boomer Kuwanger. "Damnit! Not you again!" Zero charged at Spark Mandrill, and used Hyruetsuzan. Boomer Kuwanger grabbed the Boomerang off his head, and threw it at Zero. Zero jumped, and smashed his fist into the ground chanting "RAIKENHOUHA!" A large aura surrounded him, and blasted both Boomer Kuwanger and Spark Mandrill through a wall. "Sorry, I don't want to wear out my welcome!"

Zero found the elevator, and got to the surface. GutsMan and Storm Eagle chased Zero to a shed. The closed it, and locked the door. It was pitch black. The lights turned on, and there was no one there. Zero was suddenly jumped.

"So, I finally caught you off guard!" A black arm was around Zero. He looked up to see Dynamo.

Zero kicked Dynamo away, and got up. "You bastard!"

Dynamo laughed. "Well that wasn't very nice, Mr. Hero."

"You can talk, but can you fight?" Zero drew his Sabre.

"Oh, I can more than fight!" Dynamo got out his pink double sided Sabre. He ran to Zero, and Zero jumped out of the way. Dynamo faked him out, and grabbed him by the throat. Dynamo began to glow. "You will see! You can't stay away from me! Hand over the Elf, you fool!"

As Zero was struggling to get free, he could barely talk. In a low voice he said, "No, you give me the Elves!"

"Very well, fool, I'll give you the Elves, after you die!" Dynamo used his strength to throw Zero into the air, and he used Ryuenjin, and forced Zero's head through the ceiling.

Zero's head was out the top, and he saw three Resistance Soldiers. They just stared at him. Zero glared at them. "A little help here?"

They backed off. "Um, sorry, um, Ciel just called us in, um yeah! Se ya later, Zero!"

Zero tried his Comm. Unit, but it was busted. Meanwhile, Dynamo was playing Pinyata with Zero's dangling legs. Zero couldn't stand it. He was stuck. "Goddamnit Dynamo! Stop it! Arghh!" Zero began to kick Dynamo with his legs.

Meanwhile, Variable was blasting his way through countless Mavericks. He saw a familiar head sticking out of the top of a nearby shed. "Not again." Variable dashed through the Mavericks, and leaped to the top of the shed. Zero was paying no attention whatsoever.

Variable blasted a hole in the ceiling, and jumped in. "So, your the fool who smashed my friend's head through the ceiling. You won't last any longer!"

Dynamo laughed. "That pathetic piece of scrap is your friend? Trust me, you would do better as to not help him. He has lived long enough."

"And I care, why? I don't care!" Variable charged his buster, and chased Dynamo around the room. He shot, but missed. Variable kept missing. "Damnit! If your not gonna stay still, I'll find another way!" Variable gritted his teeth as he fired madly in all directions.

Dynamo ran and ran, avoiding it all. "Trigger happy, are we?"

Finally, a shot hit Dynamo, and he was downed. Once that one shot stopped him, the rest pierced his armor badly. He shot the ceiling near Zero, and he fell. Dynamo had run out of ideas. He shrugged. "B-back off! I, I'll, I'll kill the elves if you come any closer!"

"Variable, stay put! He's not bluffing!" Zero got up, blood trickling down his legs.

Variable stopped. "But Zero, we can end this! Once the elves are destroyed, no one can use their powers!"

"No, that will disrupt the balance!" Zero drew closer.

"What balance?" Variable hesitated.

"The balance! The world's balance! You wouldn't understand! Just draw back. Let him go." Zero stood next to Variable. Dynamo teleported.

As they got back to base, Ciel began asking questions.....

Ciel was furious. "Why the hell did you let them go?"

Zero sat down. "Ciel, Dynamo would have killed the elves if we came any closer."

"What elves?" Ciel began to find interest in this.

Zero thought of a way to put this.

Zero: Ok, there is a legend. So, there was 13 special Elves, blag blah blah...
Ciel: ZERO! I wanna hear the whole story!
Zero: Well, according to Klonoa, There was a big war called the Elf Wars, and at the end, a blue Reploid sealed the 13 mystic elves away.
Ciel: Your missing something!
Zero: Well, let me finish! Ok, these elves are Issac, who was hidden in the Temple of the Vedlt, Klonoa, locked in a tower that reaches the heavens, Gaia, hidden in a Sacred Forest, but the other 9 were unknown. If these 13 are brought together and fuse with a Reploid, nothing can stop that Reploid.
Ciel: Wow, I never knew it was that serious! This is very interesting!

Zero got up. "Come on Variable! We need to find another elf!"

Variable nodded. "K, let's do it!" So they were off, as Ciel was perplexed. Why not kill them so their power is never unleashed? Only time can tell...........

Well, a slight halt to the CEC project has come, due to school work that is very time-consuming. Sorry for the inconveniance.:rolleyes:

WOOHOO! I got another chapter done! YAY! A bit short, but here it is!

Chapter 25
Big Mouth

As they began walking near the Disposal Area, Zero stopped. "Variable, I've been thinking..... Ever since you came in, more teams are joining Dynamo for more strength. Are they afraid of you? I dunno, you just seem a bit cold, that's all." Zero began walking.

Variable looked down. "You know, your on to something. I have an Elf too! They want Rubi. She was my friend as far as I can remember. I always knew there was something special about her... She-LOOK OUT!"

A bunch of bombs fell from the sky. Zero was hit. "ARGGHH! X STEALTH DRONES!" Zero ran, covering his head. He jumped down behind an old machine. Variable followed. "Damnit! Those are nukes! I think they are trying to kill us..."

Variable slapped Zero across the face. "OBVIOUSLY! Look, we have too many enemies. Everyone is teaming up to kill us!"

"I know! Wait, I hear a ticking noise." Zero lifted his helmet a little to expose his ears more. "That's-A BOMB!" Suddenly, before Zero or Variable could get away, a huge explosion blew them both back.

"Zero, why are we the only ones getting wounded non-stop?" Variable shook his head.

"I dunno, maybe because we are out numbered! But they still shouldn't be following us everywhere. It seemed safer back at the base. They seem very persistent. I think that they are gonna get a handsome reward for getting Issac!" Zero brushed debris out of his hair.

"I dunno, but I think we better get out of here soon! Do you have any way of tracking the elves?" Rubi flew around Variable's head.

Zero thought. "Come to think of it, if he kills me, he will never get his hands on all the elves! He's been holding back all along! He knows that I know more about the elves than he does!"

Variable sighed. "Zero, do you, or do you not have a way of tracking the elves?"

"I do. Well, no, but I can get a way. I remember Iris knowing ALOT about them. She was always talking to Klonoa! She understands this way better than anyone el-SHIT!" Zero turned. An X Drone was eavesdropping on their conversation. "Shit! Now I've done it!"

Zero got up, and ran after the X Drone to prevent him from squeeling.......

Chapter 26
That’s Hot



As Zero was chasing the drone, it got up, and started a jet pack, and flew off. Zero stopped. “We follow him. Well, er, We look. Where would she be?” Zero ran with Variable behind. As they reached a crane, Zero got on the chain. “Well, I’m going up! I dunno about you, but see ya!” The crane began to lift, and Zero was lifted above the builings nearby.

Zero was under arial assault! Zero drew his buster, and he fired wildly. Arms and Legs were falling from the sky. More drones came, and they were too much for him to handle! Bulets were flying around him, hitting him.

All of a sudden, all the Drones were blown apart, and fell to the ground. Zero looked around, and saw a farmilliar Female standing on the top of the nearby building, holding two guns. Zero let go of the chain in surprise, and fell. He landed on his feet. “Daaaamn! That’s hot!”

Variable walked over to Zero. “What’s hot? You burn yourself?”

Zero shook his head. “No, that girl!” All of a sudden, a girl landed on her feet nearby. “Her! Daaamn! I’ve NEVER seen her touch a gun!”

“What’s the matter, Zero? Surprised to see me like this? Heh, you haven’t seen nothing!” Iris ran to Zero, and put her arms around him. “I thought you died that day! All I ever did was think about you! In fact, the Elf Wars began, and I was forced to take action! I thought the world needed a new Hero, and after X died, I had lost all hope! Axl is off somewhere, I’m not sure where!” Zero cut Iris off.

“Whoa, calm down there! Everything is fine! Besides, your talking 80 Miles Per Minute! And X, you say he died? How?” Zero pulled Iris away from him.

She sighed. “Dynamo had a powerful Elf that went on a rampage! It destroyed city after city! To stop this, X sacrificed his body to contain the Elf, until you could get to it. I have one Elf with me! I found him near the Ruins of Dysis! He is Figaro!” Iris let Figaro go, and it examined Zero.

“A bit scrawny. How could she leave the world’s fate in the hands of an anarexic blonde!?” Figaro looked some more. “Well, body shape isn’t too bad, but not the best either. You need muscle! God, Iris could probably pick you up, and toss you with ease!” Figaro laughed.

Zero didn’t seem to think it was so funny. “You know what? I’m heavier than I look, and am MUCH stronger than Iris will EVER be! And I’m NOT anarexic!”

Figaro laughed somemore. “Well, whatever. You can’t be THAT strong if Iris had to save your sorry anarexic blonde ass!”

“TAKE THAT BACK, BASTARD!” Zero drew his sabre.

Figaro yawned. “Well, you seem to be short-tempered!”

Iris motioned them both to calm down........
