i\'d pick metalman because in mmbn you can sort of play as gutsman or roll.

when will it come out in english pm me if you know
This game looks interesting. I would enjoy operating Protoman, though simply delivering strategies to you navis is something I might find a touch frusturating. ^-^;;
Ok, hears the breakdown.
Do you know Japanese? If you don\'t you\'ll have one helluva hard playing this game if you got it in Japanese. You\'ll need something to translate the text.
Second, differnet navis are obtained through OS decks, and booster packs.
The navi\'s will have only TWO out of all their attacks,
Example, Bass/Forte, can only use Airburst,, and Darkness Overload.
You can only play as those Navi\'s if you have a Battlechip Gate or by unlocking them I THINK. Battlechip gate costs a whopping $40, and the game costs $50 or around there...if you can find a BCG cheaper, it\'ll be maybe around $35.
You use the battlechips that you can get from the new toys in order to battle in the game, it is possible to use P.A.\'s though.
You cannot move your navi, you only tell hime where to go and use commands like,
Stay away from the enemy, stay in the front row etc.

Heh, I got the money, I got some battle-chippies, easier done then said, Toys \'n\' Joys has pre-orders for the gate and game.

Happy 50th Birthday, Godzilla!
I am Zero.......
gojistomp.org/forum
Follow the glowing link to find a GREAT Godzilla Message Board!
I went there yesterday, and they have it in their store, so it\'s on sale now online.
It is compatible with BN4 and BN 4.5
But you may want to try and look around on the internet a bit more cause their are places that sell them cheaper.
However, if you\'re going to buy that and 4.5 look for OS decks, that way you can get more out of your game.

i\'ve played the game already, and I must say, it. is. AMAZING!
you can choose from more than the starters, you end up with a good 20 navis.
INCLUDING FORTE!
Well, the battle system is slightly different, to be more like owning a real navi, rather than you (the player) controlling Lan AND Megaman. You give the navi commands, such as \"attack the virus, use this chip, but stay back from it\" except it\'s with numbers/buttons. And you assign the buster/sp attacks/guard to the L an R buttons.
The chip system is different, where 3 chips are randomly displayed ont he bottom, and you fire them with A. Your custom gauge modifies what chips you can use, like 1/4 is norm chip, 3/4 is megachips, 4/4 is gigachips.
And anyhow, if you want to know more, feel free to ask.
(For the information of anyone who wishes to know, I DID play that on a rom, but only within the alloted 24 Hour span, thus i am not hereby defying any laws. <i got all navis because of my beloved Gameshark feature on VBA.> do not ask me for any roms, or i will keel you. It is indeed very awesome, and highly addictive.)
EDIT: Feel free to ask me for screenshots, so I can give y\'all a taste of what\'s in store. \\m/
DOUBLE EDIT: You do not need the battle chip gate at all, that is just a common belief of most people. Extra navis are unlocked by collecting YELLO MYSTERY DATA (i can\'t read japanese, so, i can\'t be completely sure, i just found some and another was there...o_O)
Plus, there are MORE than just the unison navis, like shadowman, iceman, planman, nightman, etc. are in there too.
Bet I\'ve got y\'all more eager than evar! muha, i can\'t wait either!

"It's just me...I Am...Zero."
Weee! I got 4.5 on a ROM! PM me if any of you guys want it. It\'s in Japanese, though. I don\'t understand a thing they\'re saying! My save file now has all the cool Navis, like
I have a picture of the full navi screen, the full variety of selection is here.
And I\'ve taken some screenshots of what the battle system is like. Take a look.
(Note: I did translate those...for the non-japanese-literate users)

"It's just me...I Am...Zero."
WOW! I think this game has a great future.
Im saving up for BN4 Blue moon andI cant believ capcom has released BN4.5 and BN5. I think Im gonna get a lot of money to get them,
Also, do you know if the pet gate is going to be only in U.S.? because a lot of cool devices like the keyboard gamecube control for Phantasy Star Online C.A.R.D. revolution can only be purchased in the internet because they never make it to another countries
One last question, When is BN5 going to be available in america and how much it will cost?
((Off Topic))
Well, Battle Network 5 isn\'t coming out until Newyears Day in Japan, so I\'m figuring between summer and fall of next year.
I just hope they do a better job of translating this time...but there is some artwork and whatnot available.
Click here to see Protoman, Megaman, and a New Navi (spoiler-ish, but not really)

Here\'s some good info.
#######
Rockman

HP Gain: Various Key Item Minigames found in Green Mystery Data. Access
via the Ket Item Menu (Press Left) when Plugged-Out.
Traits: Very polite and friendly.
Menu Colors:
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Rock Buster: Rock will shoot at varying speeds. Does damage equal
to your current Buster Level is.
Charge Shot: Rock will charge up and attack. Does 10 damage times
whatever your current Buster Level is. (Lvl 1 Buster = 10, Lvl 2 =
20, etc)
Shield: Brings up a shield to protect Rock from incoming attacks.
Does not reflect.
####
Roll
####
Starting HP: 100
HP Gain: HP Memories in the form of Hearts on the internet.
Traits: Very cute and sweet. Roll has a tendency to talk a bit too
much at times. Roll also starts each battle with a basic Barrier
enabled.
Menu Colors: Pink and Red
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Fires standard Buster shots that do damage equal to your
current Busting Level.
Roll Arrow: Charges up and fires a heart-shaped arrow at the
enemy. Charge time is very quick.
Barrier: Roll charges up as if firing a Charged Shot, then gets
encased in a weak Barrier.
#######
Gutsman
#######
Starting HP: 200
HP Gain: Gains 10 HP every 20 battles.
Traits: Big and bulky, Gutsman tends to be just slightly slower on
the draw than the other Navis. He makes up for this with more HP and
stronger attacks. In addition, Gutsman can destroy large rocks on the
internet.
Menu Colors: Blacks, greys, and yellows.
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Fires standard Buster shots that do damage equal to your
current Busting Level.
Guts Machinegun: Fires 5 shots in rapid succession. These shots
only go three spaces out. Does damage x2 that of your Busting
Level. (Level 1 = 2 Damage, etc)
Guts Hammer: Charges up and slams his fists into the ground. This
cracks one random panel and drops two rocks at random onto the
enemy side of the field. Also, this will hurt any enemies standing
in front of Gutsman when he drops his hands.
#########
Numberman
#########
Starting HP: 100
HP Gain: Math drills get performed at random.
Traits: Somewhat of a math geek, Numberman will often want to perform
math drills before Plugging-In.
Menu Colors: Yellow-greens and greys
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Fires standard Buster shots that do damage equal to your
current Busting Level.
Shield: Standard shield. Blocks enemy attacks. Uses up a small amount
of Gauge Power when used.
Dice Bomb: Flings dice into the enemy\'s field. Does 30 times whatever
side the dice lands on. (1 = 30, 2 = 60, 3 = 90, 4 = 120, 5 = 150,
6 = 180) Explodes in a 3x3 area.
#######
Fireman
#######
Starting HP: 300
HP Gain:
Traits: Very friendly in a loyal sort of way. He once asked if there
was anyone who made up heart heat-up when asking who I loved. It seems
any items needed to be \'thrown\' get shot out of the top of his head,
instead. In addition, Fireman can burn down Tree Stumps on the internet.
Menu Colors: Shades of red and grey
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Standard Buster. See above entries.
Shield: Standard Shield. See above entries.
Fire Arm: Shoots a stream of fire out that covers the three squares
directly ahead of you.
#######
Woodman
#######
Starting HP: 300
HP Gain:
Traits: Seems polite in a roundabout way. ...Urgh, that was unintended.
Anyway, Woodman is a pretty big target to aim for. Despite this, he\'s
really agile. Woodman doesn\'t walk, he JUMPS. It takes him a moment to
squat and get himself launched, but... in addition, Woodman seems to
be completely immune to electric attacks.
Menu Colors: Greens and browns. GOOOO PLANET! *runs like hell*
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Standard Buster. See above entries.
Seed Gun: Woodman shoots out three seeds.
Death Forest: Woodman leaps up and slams down hard, sending numerous
Wood Towers shooting up in the enemy\'s area.
#######
Windman
#######
Starting HP: 100
HP Gain:
Traits: Very streamlined. He\'ll chuckle when you tell him certain
things. *wags fist* Windman floats around in a rather goofy-looking
way. He can get rid of Tornados on the internet.
Menu Colors: Blues. Lots and lots of blues.
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Blah blah blah. See above.
Wind: Pulls enemies up to the front.
Fan: Blows enemies to the back. Both this and Wind are instant. No
charging required.
#########
Searchman
#########
Starting HP: 200
HP Gain:
Traits: Searchman\'s military behavior is quite evident. He wastes no
words when speaking to you, his partner. Searchman has a third E-mail
category called \"Mission Mail.\"
Menu Colors: Greens, mostly darker tones
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Standard.
Shield: Standard.
Scope Gun: Locks onto an enemy and fires five quick shots.
#######
Aquaman
#######
Starting HP: 100
HP Gain:
Traits: Bwahhhh, he\'s adorable! Look, his whole body is seen in the
Plugged-Out menu, he\'s so small! When Plugged-In... AWWWWWW! He\'s so
damn tiny! So cute, I want a plushie! Bwah. Also, Aquaman can put out
fires on the internet.
Menu Colors: Lighter blues and an off-white
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Standard.
Shield: Standard.
Aqua Hose: It\'s the familiar standard you\'re used to getting hit with
by him. He\'ll lob a small water bubble two spaces ahead, where it\'ll
explode and do damage to the tile it landed on in addition to the one
behind it. In addition, the panel it lands on will crack.
##########
Thunderman
##########
Starting HP: 200
HP Gain:
Traits: Looking like a cross between a mummy and a Gundam, (Well, at
least to me. Blame those yellow things around his back.) Thunderman
may look odd, but he\'s polite enough. He looks really goofy running
around, though. Thunderman comes into battle with a storm cloud than
roams around the battlefield, paralyzing any enemies it passes through.
Menu Colors: Orange, an ugly green, and a dark purple.
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: *sigh* Standard
Shield: Ditto...
Thunderbolt: Pika~~! This calls down a couple of lightning bolts. Takes
a second between charge and lightning.
########
Metalman
########
Starting HP: 300
HP Gain: Sometimes Metalman will want to play a minigame before he
plugs-in. This is the same as when you meet him on the internet, so
see his scenario for instructions. You gain 20HP for each successful
run.
Traits: Metalman\'s speech seems a bit hesitant to me at times. Lotta
\"...\"s in his speech.
Menu Colors: White, red, and black
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Note: Hot damn, a Navi with an INTERESTING layout! Shame it\'s
all fairly hard to pull off when you have no direct control...
Break Buster:
Metal Fist: After a brief charge, Metalman slams his fist into the
square in front of him, destroying the panel.
Metal Blade: After a charge, Metalman will throw a Metal Blade out
forward. It\'s PAINFULLY slow to pull off and has a monsterous recovery
time, so be aware of this.
#######
Junkman
#######
Starting HP: 100
HP Gain:
Traits: Very nervous, speaks with a \'stuffy\' voice. That is, he doesn\'t
always speak clearly. (\'Ore\' spoken as \'Ode\') He has a REALLY fun
in-battle bonus - he flings junk clods out randomly. No fuss, no muss.
They just...fly out. Very good for keeping the enemies you don\'t have
your eye on busy. Also, on the \'net, he sorta scoots/slides around.
Menu Colors: Dark greys and blacks.
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Back to the standard.
Poltergeist: Objects on the field? Heh, not for long.
Junk Press: Junkman leans back, then shoves both arms forward to
smash the enemy. It goes through enemies, as well.
#####
Blues
#####
Starting HP: 200
HP Gain:
Traits: Blues is -very- polite. Sadly, his Battle Abilities all SUCK.
They stuck him with a standard buster and shield, then gave him a
Long Sword as his third ability. Weak. Poor Blues, always getting the
short end of the stick. ;.;
Menu Colors: Red, white, and dark greys.
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Note: What the hell is this?! Blues has a REALLY lousy setup. X.x;
Buster: Standard...
Shield: Standard again.
Long Sword: It\'s...a long sword. Huzzah.
#######
Starman
#######
Starting HP: 100
HP Gain:
Traits: Ahh, Starman. In addition to LOOKING cool, he talks fairly cool,
as well. Very friendly, carefree attitude about him. While I haven\'t
found out what he can do on the \'net, if anything, he does float. That
has to earn bonus points somewhere, doesn\'t it? Plus he makes sound
effects a LOT.
Menu Colors: Yellow, a dark/dull blue, and black
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Standaaaard~
Shield: Standaaaard~
Kirakira Meteo: Now here\'s a fun-sounding attack. After a charge,
stars rain down on the enemy you have targetted. In addition to being
outright fun, it -confuses- the enemy. Score!
#########
Napalmman
#########
Starting HP: 300
HP Gain:
Traits: Man, this guy looks funky. The living weapon himself, Napalmman
has a third email option called Hakai Shirei (Destruction Orders). And
maybe it\'s just me, but it doesn\'t look like homeboy here\'s speaking
standard Japanese.
Menu Colors: Bright orange, pinkish-purple, and dark purple.
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Standard.
Fire Bomb: Napalmman flings a pair of bombs out. One goes to the
target, one lands randomly. The panels they land on get set on
fire briefly.
Napalm Bomb: Napalmman lobs a bomb way up into the air after a LONG
charge. When it hits, it explodes in a 3x3 area of the target.
######
Iceman
######
Starting HP: 100
HP Gain: Occasionally when plugging in, you\'ll be asked to play
Iceman\'s minigame. It\'s really, really easy and quite fun. You have
Metools trapped in icecubes. You get a selection of chips to the left.
You have to destroy the iced-Mets before they thaw out and start
attacking Iceman. In addition to gaining 20HP per go, you can get
Zenny for good scores and such.
Traits: Battle Sheep is back! Seems like Iceman\'s around the same
size as Aquaman, just a bit better proportioned. He\'s still one of
the cuter Navis in the game, though. He\'s quite polite and well-mannered.
Plugged-in, he\'s as tiny as Aquaman and even more adorable.
Menu Colors: Very pretty shades of light blue and blue-green
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Standard
Shield: Standard
Freeze Bomb: Iceman flings a trio of ice shards forward. When they hit,
they\'ll spike up and ice over the panels they hit. If you fling into
the center, they\'ll hit a whole column.
#######
Elecman
#######
Starting HP: 100
HP Gain:
Traits: I guess all electric Navis need weird generators on their
backs. Can\'t really pick up too much on his personality. And besides,
pretty much all the Navis are respectful of you, some moreso than
others. Despite running on the \'net, our boy here floats in battle.
Menu Colors:
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Standard. Yawn.
Shield: Standard.
Thunderball: Same as the chip. It\'ll roll out, it\'ll stun. It\'s
useful in most all situations!
########
Plantman
########
Starting HP: 100
HP Gain:
Traits: Now THAT is an impressive-looking PET Pic, huh? Talks about
flowers alot. Big surprise, huh? He\'s fancy to look at, but he\'s
really kinda generic as far as interesting Navis go. His special
attack, Plant Weed, turns enemy panels to grass, which would actually
heal grass-types. Hurg.
Menu Colors:
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Take a guess.
Shield: Take another.
Plant Weed: (Good engrish there.) *ahem* Anyway, Plantman will dig
into the panel he\'s on. The targetted Navi will be engulfed in thorn-
covered vines. In addition, this will turn panels to Grass-type Panels.
So be careful when fighting grass-type enemies. Don\'t want to give
them free healing spaces, do we?
#########
Knightman
#########
Starting HP: 300
HP Gain:
Traits: Make no bones about it, Knightman\'s massive. He\'s incredibly
polite, using -dono as an honorific when referring to you. And just
look at his internet sprite, it\'s -huge-! And his in-battle sprite
is even LARGER! Few sprites can say they\'re beefier than Woodman,
but Knightman wins, hands down. He\'s so large, the very top of him
is obscured by the Custom Gauge! Like Woodman, he\'s slow and he jumps.
Menu Colors:
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Standard fare.
Kingdom C: \'Kingdom Come\' perhaps? As in \"I\'m going to knock you to
______\"? He shoots his mace out at a fairly fast clip straight ahead
of him. And if *I* got smacked with that thing, I know I\'d be pretty
messed up.
Royal WB: No idea what the WB stands for. \'Weird Butt,\' maybe. Anyway,
in this one, he swings his giant mace around his body in one complete
revolution.
#########
Shadowman
#########
Starting HP: 200
HP Gain:
Traits: Didn\'t Searchman kinda delete you? Anyway, we\'ve got ninjas!
Woo! He uses \'Sessha\' for \'I,\' which is REALLY obscure and old. Fits
the whole oldschool ninja motif, I guess. He ALSO uses \'-dono\' when
speaking to you. And he uses \'Onushi\' for \'you\'...Christ, that\'s
pretty out there. He has a third e-mail category named Ansatsu Irai,
or \'Assassination Requests\' - gets cooler all the time, doesn\'t
he? Guess what? Ninjaman floats in battle.
Menu Colors: Light purple, red, dark purple
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Why does a ninja have a gun?
Invisible: NEENJA VANEESH! *poof*
Shuriken: Shadowman leaps up and flings a giant shuriken down onto
the targetted enemy.
#####
Forte
#####
Starting HP: 300
HP Gain: Find green Normal Navis on the internet. Some will challenge
you to fights. If victorious, HP is boosted by 50.
Traits: Yes, Virginia, you too can now control the Black Shadow. He\'s
VERY rude, though. Forte will refer to you using \'kisama,\' which is
pretty much to rudest way to say \'you.\' He\'ll ask personal questions
half-heartedly and/or will taunt you when you answer. Forte floats.
Forte starts battles with an Aura on.
Menu Colors: Yellow and Black.
--------------
Battle Tactics
---------------
Buster: Even the Kuroi Kage has standards.
Shooting B: Shooting Buster, perhaps? It\'s his normal multiple-square
scatter shot.
D Overload: Darkness Overload, yes? Forte will charge up for a good
while, then produce two spheres of darkness, shoot over to the enemy\'s
side of the field, and blow the back two columns the hell up, cracking
all of them. Only enemies remaining in the front column will be safe.
Combine this with Area Steals for short fights. Does a whopping 100
Electric V'klun

thank you Pharoh for the *original* av pic
WOW someones been busy:eek:
ok just to be sure dose the game with battle chips and the battle chip gate, do the chips come in packs, and is their a navi selection screen or do you have to buy navi chips in packs?:conf:
You do\'nt really need the navi chip to play as them, you can unlock them in the game, but it will take awhile to do so.
Getting their Navi Chip, means you can play as them right away, which is good in a sense right? Whats better than playing as Shadowman Forte etc. and unleashing hell on poor little virus\'?
You can also get navi chips by going to
http://www.toywiz.com/mentwabpete.html
The OS decks contain 8 regular chips the SP version of the Navi you are getting and their Navi Data chip so you can play as them in EXE 4.5, Japanese booster packs contain other navis like Forte, Shadowman Iceman etc.
You can find out what each OS deck contains at http://www.takaratoys.co.jp/rockman/real/chipgate/002.html
Just click on the one you wish to veiw, Not all are listed though, if you wish to know what Japanese is on the right side just ask me:)

Your Welcome:)
I was thinking of buying Battle Chip gate as well as 4.5 so I\'ll be giving a review and such later, as well as what chips come with the gate as well.

so the battle chip gate is extra? how much dose it cost?
It depends where you buy it....
A good price would be around $35 I think... But I buy my stuff from toysnjoys mostly, over there it\'s $40, Just look around on a search engine, or you could try eBAY or Rinkya, but I don\'t really trust auctioning sites much....
Reason I buy from toysnjoys is, I get a discounts and stuff.

do I really need the battlechip gate or are their battle chips in the game like the other games?
You don\'t really need it, but it does make the game more fun.
