Hey guys. I figure if everyone else is going to make a game, I might as well join in, eh? I want to make a game that has a great story, but I\'m having some trouble. I\'ve got the main enemies, though they could use some tweaking. More importantly, I\'m not sure how my main character(s) get to the world the game\'s played in, or what the motivation for the bad guys is... Curse writers block!

Main Characters:
Kenichi: Your good old friend, the guy you\'ll always be controlling. Kenichi has blond hair, glasses, and is generally withdrawn from the world. When he (fill in action to draw to game world), he is sucked into the land of Librisa, where his adventure begins...

Palos: your trusty friend, a guy with jet-black hair, attending a boarding school. He has a keen eye for details, and can often point out things that seem obvious once explained but are often overlooked.

Aeria: The tomboyish girl that most people dislike for her strong attitude. she has red hair, a tough disposition, and especially likes to play soccer.

The Bad Guys:
Tempest: Ruler of the Sky, often speaking in a gentle and kind voice. He has his own motivations for all his actions, and only he knows them for sure. He\'s reluctant to face Kenichi in battle, as Kenichi is as gentle as he is in the beginning.

Maelstrom: Ruler of the Sea, an ever-changing face in battle. He has a tendency to just go along with the plans already made, and follows them to the letter. He\'s eager to align himself with Palos, because of the great mental capacity Palos posesses.

Wyrmwood: Ruler of the Ground, as well as the forests, fields, mountains, and other geographical locations. He\'s the muscle of the group, and tends to act without thinking his plans entirely through. A born fighter, he enjoys the company of those who chalenge him in any area, mental, physical, etc.

Pyranas: Ruler of the Flame, and a great leader. He is motivational and spiritual, not to mention self-absorbed. He understands the importance of teamwork, but prefers to go on as well as he can without it. He appears to be the instigator of this group of would-be villians, and appreciates the balance that they hold over Librisa. He uses it to strengthen the group\'s power, while the others enjoy their reigns.

Achilles: Ruler of the Weapons, and one of the \"kind\" enemies: shows up for a good fight, and if he gets one he gives you a special weapon or something, but not a real bad guy.


Help, please! I can\'t do this alone! (well, I could but then it wouldn\'t be very original or fun...) Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Btw, what are you making this game with?

If this is a RPG then will the characters be able to wield weapons, cast magic, rise your level and stats?

Looks good.Can I help design weapons/attacks?

Characters should have unique attacks and skills and magic and weapons and personalities and...and...... yea you get what I mean, right?

OmegaBreaker: I plan to make this with RPGMaker, once I get a bit more skilled with lighting on the sprites, graphics, etc. It\'s still new to me, and in the planning stages, so if you know a better one for beginners like myself, I\'m always open to change.

BowlMan: yep, all those things will be added in, seeing as how I\'ve enough time to screw around with it to get it right.

Sephiroth XX: yes, I\'d love some help with weapons, attacks, magic, etc. anything you guys can do, you\'ll get credit for (assuming I finish it and get it out there)

I dont know much about rpg maker, but Ill still try to help.

Hey guys, update for you all! I\'ve decided to switch to using toolkit, it seems more user friendly. and I\'m having a few tech problems with the computer now, so I\'ll let you know when I\'m started. BowlMan, the weapon looks pretty good, and reminds me of a weapon we should include from 8-bit theater: SWORD-CHUKS!

Also, I like to have everything set, so how about this: Sephiroth XX and BowlMan are definately on weapon design. If you want to divide up the work between you, like one does magic and one does weapons, make sure you\'re clear on it. Z.t.S.M., sure you can help out! what is it you\'d like to do?

On a final note, anyone who would like to help me with the storyline is more than welcome to submit suggestions, all I have are vague ideas and the characters. Thanks for the enthusiasm, guys!

Do we need a sprite sheet for the magic like the way the magic looks like?

yep, sprite sheets would be good. basic spells are fire from the wand, ice from the sky, bolts/wind slashes from the sky, and vines/rock crags from below. also, think about other magics that would be good, such as metal, dark, light, etc. this will hopefully become as much your game as it will be mine.

Rewritten: Kenichi (main dude) is traveling home one day along with Palos (friend), when they run into Aeria (tomboy). The 3 decide together to grab a bite, see a movie, etc. and find along the way the title page from a book, \"Alphas de Plurabus\" with instructions written on them. These instructions lead the trio to an abandoned mansion. Inside are other pages, and at the entrance is a pedastal with the book on it. upon opening the book, they are transported to a similar, not-run-down mansion where the royal guards just *happen* to find them and capture them, believing them to be assassins.

Enter your story: the guards apparently aren\'t too bright, they take our trio\'s word that they have no weapons. Turns out, they do and didn\'t know about it. Huh. so, the 3 escape in the night, get seperated, and Kenichi ends up being hired against his will as (you guessed it) an assassin! he\'s hired by the royals of the village to defete and kill the warriors Pyranas, Wyrmwood, Tempest, and Maelstrom. Assuming these are bad guys, that\'s what he sets off to do...


This is one plan I\'ve concocted, with lots of help from InuYasha101...anyone have any improvements or additional ideas?

Nice plot! Keep up the good work! I decided to make fire sprites instead of lighting. Can we also make armor too?

Are you canadian? haha, canadian pride!! :D. Man, I can already give your game 10 for creativity, you aren\'t a follower. You are unique. You take an idea and turn it into yours and also improve it. I\'m looking forward to your game, it sounds awesome. I can\'t wait until it comes out:)

EDIT: Well, now I know what happens to your friends... as you wander to the light of the nearest town, your friends, lost in the dark, get lost in the woods you traveled to get through. Palos gets paranoid, takes off running, and dashes through the forest to a small ghost town. Aeria, on the other hand, walks calmly onward, talking to herself and barely paying attention to her surroundings. Soon she\'s lost deep in the woods...

EDIT 2: yay! finally, the maker likes me! (operator error:() Now all we need is a name for it...what do you all think? Let\'s get started!
