It\'s whats-his-name from Final Fantasy? He does that thing with his left arm....

I really like the sky and your character\'s expression, those are the things that stand out with me the most, and I always did like it when characters had red pupils.

Looks good.

I thought the picture was flawless until somebody said something about his feet looking a little off. So now I\'m noticing that a little more. But it doesn\'t nearly take away from the picture.

EDIT: I typed too fast....

So, people are starting to associate Napoleon with me, huh? Excellent.

Thank you for the compliment on the picture. As an artist, I feel I must be hard on myself.

Well, I\'m glad it looks like his arm is in his shirt. Thank you for the compliments.

I agree on the face.. something looks off. It looked alright before I inked it..

I have to thank you for being the only one who actually took a guess at who it is. But, nah, it\'s not Auron from Final Fantasy X, but that\'s not a bad guess.

Thanks for the compliments, especially how specific you were with them. I\'m glad the fat foot doesn\'t detract too much.

And Necro delivers again...

First off.... I think you always do really good facial expressions/ postures. I know exactly how you intended your characters to look when you were thinking of them, you could even say it gives them a \"personality\". It\'s refreshing from the usual plain smile.

Another thing you seem to do is, you always seem to have a different way of drawing backgrounds. I like your backgrounds a lot better than other peoples for some reason. And another 10 points for the detail.... even got flock of butterflies in there.

Now the only thing I see off with this one is the hand. It doesn\'t quite seem to match the size of his right hand. Also I think you needed to make the fingers a little longer to even out with the palm, then shrink the hand a little bit.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hollow told me the same thing about the facial expressions and the characters having a \"personality\" you can see. I don\'t really see it, but maybe because they came from my head, I wouldn\'t, so I\'ll have to take the both of yours words for that one.

How do I draw backgrounds differently, may I ask? But yes, I try to add as much details as I can.. usually.

And I agree with the hand, I noticed that after it was inked. It looked alright in pencil for some reason. Thank you for the suggestion, I\'ll try to keep that in mind next time.

Well, looking at your first drawing, you don\'t see many people draw the sky like that. Then I don\'t think I\'ve ever seen a mountain like that either, and the shrubs and grass just seem to be drawn differently than most artist do.

I remember in (at least) your first drawings on oekaki with that character you do, the trees in the background where all christmas trees(Fir trees is what there really called I believe.) But it was really simple but I liked it, I don\'t know, don\'t take the comment into heart really. Just something I noticed.

My little sister can draw butterflies, and she was born last year. Sure, they\'re twisted, mutated ones, but they\'re butterflies.
I do agree with the hand, but I like the part in the background more. Specifically, the tree. I can\'t draw trees.

So I'm not going to have anything spectacular in my signature.

I compleetly forgot to comment this, a little late but I\'ll do it anyway.

As always, It wouldn\'t be very usefull just to repeat what everyone else has said, what I\'ve noticed is that you wave a sort of \"bulgy\" way of drawing, this is not bad but it sometimes makes things more bulgy than needed and sometimes causes mistakes. The cloak in the first picture is an example of this, the shading exaggurates it a bit.

Both the pictures has something that captures your attention and I think you did that really well, the backgrounds contain exactly enough detail.

About the hand wich was mentioned, I found a diagram for that that I made lying on my computer, don\'t know if it would be helpfull but I\'ll just post it anyway:

I see, thanks for the reply on my question.

I do do things different than two years ago.. err three actually.. on the oekaki. But well, if I draw backgrounds different than most, must be because I\'m trying to create my own style instead of just doing what most do. Maybe. We shall never know!

Thank you for the feedback. :) Lessons and books can help one improve their art, but the most important thing is that you just don\'t give up and continue having fun drawing. At least, that\'s what I believe. =o

Really, though, just don\'t give up, people can improve alot over time. Man, if you saw my drawings from three years ago...

Definitely unfinished, but... the amount of detail already present is incredible. It shows that you really care about the art on that one. :) How much time would the final picture require?

Thanks, so far I\'ve put alot of effort into the two frames and I\'m glad it shows. :)

As for the time that the finished picture will require, I\'m really not sure. What I posted actually only takes up half the page; I have two more frames I have planned out on this page, which will take awhile to finish. So far I\'ve spent about 3-4 hours on the first two frames which both are unfinished. Then comes the task of inking the final penciled product and it becomes very difficult to guess just how much time I still got ahead of me to put into this picture.

Necro never really let\'s down. I\'m actually glad to see some straight pencil work from you. Rare to see anybody pencil work these days for some odd reason. You have a great mind for detail and it shows impressively. Even just looking at the smallest things like a basket of apples looks near masterful.

Comparing the proportions of the hand to mine, it makes sense, but the hand seems to be off a little, a little large? Other than that, it\'s so early I couldn\'t really give any other critics that wouldn\'t be fixed with color. Right now the rabbit and the single leaf stand out, but if you ink the rest of the picture, it should be fine. I\'ll watch to see if you submit the finished picture.

*Cheesy thumbs up for Necro.*

Nice work as always~

That rabbit (near the bird) looks big but it looks inked so there\'s not much you can do about that. I\'m not completely sure what the large white streaks across the town and plains are, they might become more clear once you\'re done. The bird\'s wings should be partially visible even if it\'s flapping very quickly (the exception is the hummingbird) so you should make more silhouettes of the wings (unless you\'re not done the wings, in which case ignore this). The rest of it looks pretty good.

Keep us updated on your progress.

Heh, looks like the current comic trend is to make midevil settings. That looks like a shifted version of a town I\'ve seen in several comics lately... (great minds think alike?)

Most have allredy pointed out the obveous, so I\'m not going to blast you with critisizm. It\'s pretty hard to do overall seeing that this isn\'t the final product, but on the other hand, you now have the option to change it. If I am to suggest anything, it is to correct that perspective in the town. The way it is now, it looks like there should be a lot more above the mountains.

Abart from that, you seem to be able to handle this perfectly on your own ^_^
