I like all of Nirvana\'s albums and I had a hard time choosing. I just picked their MTV Unplugged album. I love the version of Lake of Fire they did.

I'm older school than you are.

I don\'t like any of them. The only Nirvana song I\'ve ever liked wasn\'t even a song of theirs, it was a cover song they did of a Beatles song..I think.

Nirvana is the most overrated rock band ever.

why are they over-rated, N\'Syncs over-rated, whats not \"real\" about it? It\'s about as real as you get.

Oh, it\'s plenty \'real\'..that\'s not what I\'m talking about. I\'m just saying I don\'t understand why people went nuts over a greasy guy depressingly screeching and moaning into a microphone.

Usually Nirvana is at the top of \'Top 100 rock bands of all time\' or whatever, but why? What did they do that was so special, except make alot of guys wear flannel shirts and not wash their hair?

True they didn\'t bring much new things into the industry, they have inspired TONS of bands today, at least a few you might like. Creed, Live, Alice in Chains, etc.
Kurt could sing nice, Nirvana is usely stero-typed as like a DARK band, like metal or something. NIRVANA revolutionized ALTERNATIVE. Even if your don\'t like his music, you have to respect some of his songs and all of his talent. Could you reach the high notes in \"About a Girl\" or play the solo\'s in \"In Bloom\" probaly not and if you can you probaly can respect nirvana.

Thats all I ask, RESPECT for a dead man and his music.

If you see the videos of him, he really is just a greasy man on a stool with a guitar...

But who cares really...its the music, right? I just heard Nevermind, \'cause my brother bought it. (Seeing as it has a naked baby on it my mom got pissy) But that was back in the day like when it first came out, she\'s better now, but the point is I guess their all right. I guess I can respect them but really, it doesn\'t strike me as something different than any other band.... But they are an overrated band.

I mean the \"Polly wants a cracker\" song (I don\'t know if thats it\'s real name or not) was pure dribble about a bird, and putting out blow torches. That was just annoying, but I guess thats a matter of taste.....

Dude, that song was about Polly Klass, she was raped and tourterd with a rope and a blow torch!!!! She acted like she liked it until she gained his trust, he took her for a ride to get gas when she ran away from him!!!
Polly Klass
not polly the bird.

Let’s not forget that Curt could not play Guitar at all. Really. Watch him play some time, and it becomes obvious that he might as well been playing punch drunk.

As far as his songs go, yeah, some of the lyrics are ok. But really, as Hollow mentioned, Nirvana was perhaps the single most over rated band of all time. Period.

Really now........ Well, that doesn\'t make me think anything better of the band but, I guess that song actually has a meaning now. I could have sworn they just ran out of ideas or something. But still I really still hate that song....

I don\'t think nirvana is on the level with the Beatles or the stones, but they def. are on the level with AC/DC and Black Sabbath and them. True, Kurt couldn\'t really play guitar that well, but still...
