So, anyone have any favorite Japanese words? Mine are hikari (light) and mirai (future). I only know about twenty, but so far, these are my favorite. I learned them from watching a lot of anime in Japanese. That, and reading lyrics to anime music. Yes, I do have a lot of time on my hands.

Mine are words to use on my annoying little brother like saru (monkey) and baka. My friend loves to say nani (what).

Well, so far I already know all but two of the words mentioned. That is, hsin and saru. Yes, I already knew ai, nani, and baka.

I like phrases more than words, most of the time.

I say 御免 なさい far far far too many times over, when I want to say \"どういたしまして\" or \"ども ありがと。\" I don\'t know WHY, neccessarily.

My former favorite phrase was むだ に おわる。I really don\'t have a favorite now but oh well.

Saitou\'s \"Aku. Soku. Zan\" (dunno how to write the kanji yet) is pretty memorable though.

Hmm? Oh ok....

MegaGirl & G-Zero
Yes, you\'re right! :) Shirimasen is Japanese for \"I don\'t know\'

Shirimasen=I don\'t know!(Note this is the actual meaning of the word, I say this to my teachers and they\'re all like what?!)

Kage=Shadow

Shi=Death(In Japanese, since the number 4 is Shi, and since it also means death, they refer to the number 4 as \"Yon\")

Shimatta=
Spoiler (click to toggle)
Damn!

Other Words....

Shiro=White
Kuro=Black
Green=Midori
Orange=Orenji :P
Red=Aka
Blue=Aoi
Purple=Murasaki
Kohi=Coffee
Tabemasu=Eat
Mochi=Rice Cake
Sakana=Fish
Unagi=Eel
Uni=Sea Urchin
Iruka=Dolphin
Dare Desu Ka=Who is it?

Also Japanese people don\'t refer to themselves as Japanese, they call themselves, \"Nihon\" And Japan is called \"Nihongo\"
Counting from 1-10
Ichi, Ni, San, Shi, Go, Roku, Shichi, Hachi, Kyu, Ju
Now you can count from 1-10 in Japanese!
I\'ll post more words next time because.....I\'m too tired:zzz::zzz:
Ok, ok, so I\'m being lazy, I had a friggin bad day and just want to go to sleep
Oyasuminasai! <---10 points too anyone who guess\' this.

EDIT

I said:

\"Hello.

Let us cling together
As the years go by
Oh my love, my love.
In the quiet of the night
Let our candle always burn
Let us never lose the lessons we have learned\"

I believe that\'s what the verse translates to.

I don\'t know about the rest, but I know konichiwa means good afternoon, not hello.

On a side note, every time I say konichiwa in front of my dog, she gets all hyper and thinks she\'s going on a walk. I guess that\'s because the \'wa\' on the end sounds like the beginning of walk. Go figure.

Fucaren (Proabably misspelled) F*** YOU

"The Spirits of War are Within Me"

Built to resemble the Native Americans of centuries ago, Tomahawk Man follows up his basic programming to be knowledgeable and wise about their beliefs as well. His original function was akin to a ranger of the plains but the destruction of the land made him bitter about the lack of respect given by outsiders. His weapon of choice is his silver tomahawk, an axe head grafted onto the end of his right arm. He can use it to fire axe blades of energy at his opponents, and can also pull shrapnel feathers from his headdress to throw like daggers. Tomahawk Man's priorities sometimes get mixed up -- he'll fire a warning shot at someone chopping down a tree before an attacking enemy. His dislike of those that would destroy nature can extend to his fellow Master brothers, but he tries to make his dislike known vocally instead of by action.

Very good J-Hibiki, I\'m impressed:)

Other words
Waza=Trick
Sakana=Fish
Tabemasu=Eat
Watashi wa=I(For girls, or for people in general)
Boku Wa=I(For boys)

Sentence Structure
In America, if you eat fish, you\'d say,
\"I eat Fish.\"
In Japan it is said,
\"I fish eat.\"
Strange isn\'t it?
To say I eat fish in Japanese, you would say,
Watashi wa sakana tabemasu(Girls)

Boku wa sakana tabemasu(Boys)

I don\'t say stop spamming to people anymore because it\'s like they listen to you or anything...

Ryuu: Dragon

You left out the particle w(o) both times. There are also various other ways to refer to yourself than just boku and watashi, which, I must add, are only both formal.
