I don't know any others, though.

If you replace the "h" with a "u" it's taiyou, which is the same thing, just with out "The" in it. But the same kind of sun.
Oh, I also like "Panku" and "Ashi" (Ashi=Evil. Panku=Punk) And taiyou:D

What in the earth that means? It definitely doesn't are japanese. It sounds more like -I've got too much food in my mouth so I can't speak very well-language. XD

Well, my Finnish-Japanese-Finnish book says that "how are you" is "O-genki desu ka". Still I'm not sure is it really right. o.o

That phrase means "How are you?" and yes, it aint Japanese. It is a real language, though. The most simplest language to learn actually. But since it's grammar doesn't look like English at all...

Hey everyone, I just found out that some of the japanese words here don't mean what some people said they do.

For example, Tousan doesn't mean Father.

If you want to know japanese words use this>> http://www.freedict.com/onldict/jap.html

You must not rely on these so-called 'translators' too much. Amongst these people are some whom have learned Japanese as their first language, so they know their stuff.

BTW, I already knew my name translated to 'tantou', 'hishu', and 'aikuchi'.

Yeah people, honestly..don't assume that a website or translator is "the right way". Not even japanese translation dictionaries are always right!

Edit: Well screw it, Firefox doesn't type japanese right.

Earlier someone said saru=monkey.
Maru=monkey (like Maru-chan ramen, the little monkey symbol on it is kawaii)

Okay japanese words have no real english meanings, they all have lose translations even in japan. So words like domo, Arigatoo, gozaimasu, and konnichiwa can be taken however.

Genneraly, Ohaiyoo Gozaimasu= Good morning(12:00am-10:00am)
Konnichiwa=Good afternoon(10:00am-5:00pm)
Konbanwa=Good night, not for going to sleep.(5:00pm-12:00am)

If your in japan and you walk up to someone at 5:30pm and say Konnichiwa They know what your saying and your not wrong but to be formal you could say Konbanwa.
To say good night like going to sleep just say Oyasuminasai.

Some of my favorite words are
Pengin=Penguin(duh)
Ushi=Cow....MOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Kuro Kage=Dark shadow
Kemono=Beast(kimono is a dress)
and the phrase "Are nan ushi-desu ka?!"
Is that a COW?! lol

Translate this for 25 points!
"Hai wakarimasu Nihon-go, demo nihon-go ga heta desu"

"How can I be sure my past isn't just a fiction created to account for the discrepency between my emediate physical sensations and my current state of mind?"

Err. ‰Ž (‚³‚é - saru) is the word for monkey. I'm not going to say that maru isn't, but as far as I'm aware, it means circle. Like the little circle on the hiragana and katakana for p sounds.

I think you mean ‰»•¨ (‚΂¯‚à‚Ì - bakemono).

Yes, I understand Japanese, but I am poor at it(technically you said Japanese but this sounds less redundant in English. Means the exact same thing, just making sure you know that I know this. :lol: )

Obviously, there are several words for the same thing. Maybe that's because they speak different dialects of Japanese in different regions.

Okay I can't, but like I said it helps somewhat, I do know, however, that the Watashi wa part mean I, but I just dont know about the kataze part.

Can anyone tell me what rose is in japanese? I've used some of those translator things, but they all gave me different words. It's really annoying.

Whenever I can't find a word I make a new one lol. Like I coudln't find the word "Raven" so I used kuro torii = Black bird, and I call my raven familar Kuto.

I would just use aka=red and bana=flower ie; akaban banaka akabana

Like that:D
