I\'m having a hard time collecting some of the chips in BN1. Is there a faster way to run into the likes of Magicman, Bombman, etc., other than just walking around for hours?

Well, the last time I played MMBN was early December of last year, so If I get a name or something wrong, please don’t brick me.

Instead of searching the net for chips, just go to Higsby’s shop and play on his chip trading machine. I think there were 2 different machines in the shop-- there was one where you would trade 5 of your chips for 1 single chip, and another machine for trading 10 chips for one (this 10 for 1 machine supposedly gives out rare chips). I honestly don’t know what the ratio of getting some of the chips that you asked for from these machines, but I think it is at least worth a try.

Anyhow, if you are interested in this method, then follow these instructions:

• First, make sure you have at least 10 chips that you no longer want in your collection.
  
• Next, go to Higby\'s shop and save your game near the chip trading machine (this will save you from walking if you don\'t like what you get).
  
• After you save the game, go to the 10 for 1 chip trading machine and follow the instructions for trading (which is selecting 10 chips and putting them into the machine for trading and turning the knob).
  
• Once you\'ve done that, you should receive a random chip.
  
• Now that you have receive a chip from the machine, you can either keep the chip or reset your game and repeat steps 3-5 until you get a chip that you want.
  

Sometimes you get something good (I remember getting a couple of Skullman 3s, a few Popups and some other good chips by using this method), while most other times you will get something crappy.

Hardman, it was totally unneccasery to bump this topic just to say that. The question was already answered. I advise to, in case you stumble upon an old topic again (look at the dates of the posts!), to look if the question was already properly answered, and see if you can add more good information if that is not the case.
