I\'ve been searching the internet for awhile now, and the only other place that has some sort of folder advice is full of some people who are rather dis-respectful to your common member yet they somehow get away with it.
Anyway, I haven\'t seen anything like this on the first page, and I am just itchin\' to know just what this board is packin\' strength-wise. Which ever game your play, I wanna know what you guys use, and why.
Right now, I\'m experomenting with a folder that isn\'t the main one I\'ve been using. I don\'t have any human competition, but since there\'s a good chance I\'ll find some soon, I want to be in tip top shape. Plus I like making folders.
Battle Network 3:
4 Aura S
4 Snctuary S
4 Plasma3 S
3 Panelgrab *
3 Areagrab *
3 Mole2 *
Fullcust * Preset
Folderbak *
Life Aura D
Drillman V4 D
Drillman V3 D
4 VarSwrd D
Style:None. No element.
NC customizer: BugStopper, HubBact, 2 Custom+1\'s, and 3 Charge+1\'s
This folder I have concentrates around using the Holy Aura, or Sanctuary+Aura to prevent my opponents from harming me with most attacks. Dark Aura was way too much trouble, and LifeAura+Sanctuary Made it so only an attack of 400 strength could pierce it. FYI multi-hitting non-stunning chips were absolutely required at the other place, and I observed that each chip almost never inflicts more than 100 damage at once, let alone 200 or 400.
The 4 Auras and Sanctuary’s are required for this folder. I am very aware that my opponent has a very high chance that they can alter the field under me, or have an attack stronger than 200. Personally, I hope they do. I found out from batteling navi’s that couldn’t crack or alter the field that those chips have a bad habit of cluttering up my folderspace, preventing offensive chips from coming in. Since their strategies will be halted so they can break my Aura, which then I can easily set up a new one next turn. Plasma3 is a non-stunning chip that has quite the efficiant range and is unusually powerful. Use panelgrab and place one in their center colum, and they can’t avoid it. The panelgrabs are used to step forward and use some of my chips, and to halt my opponents from grabbing my rows. The areagrabs are there to counteract theirs. The last thing I want is to grab most of my opponents panels, turn them into holy panels, then have my enemy gain them back over time. The interesting thing about Mole is that when you use it, most aura-breaking chips can’t hit you. The main one I’m thinking of is Nrthwind. The preset fullcust ois obvious. I didn’t stick a fstguage in there because through testing, I found that this is one of those folders where Fstuage doesn’t benefit it. That, and my opponent most likely has it. If they don’t, their loss. Folderbak is also obvious. Life aura is the most powerful defense of the folder. The two drillman chips offer an object-piercing field-manipulating offense. I abuse the B-B-Left-Down-Up combo with the Varsword. I chose to have no element because often times an elemental attack that once posed no threat can often become my opponents main breaker.
Cons are that it is two coded. Though it seems to run just fine, it is a problem. Though I almost always get both a Snctuary and an Aura with the first draw, sometimes I get neither, leaving me wide open. It has a limited offense, too. If my opponent is running a lifeswrd folder, or 4 nrthwinds, kiss this folder goodbye unless I can time my shield right. Also, this folder has NO aura-breaking ability! If it were to face another folder with an aura, it would most likely lose.
So... watcha’ think?
