I know what that post said..and I know for the most part what it can do it\'s just that when I saw that you can play people by jumping from one DS to another it blew my mind. :) it\'s an invention that will turn online gaming upside down

Yes, the DS will revolutionize handheld gaming as we now it. Anything that can be done with one screen, the DS can do twice as well (work with me here, I\'m playing off the dual screen feature). It\'s graphics are far surpassing the GBA. It\'s on the same level as the N64, but the small size makes it look like an equal to the GameCube. Two words: it rocks.

Remember kiddies, twice the screenage = twice the fun...I think. Well, at least that\'s what PaPa Nintendo keeps telling us. And I\'m a beliver.

The one thing that nobody seems to be noticing or at the very least pointing out to me is weather or not the screens will be back lit, or \"Side lit\" like the SP. I searched all over different spreads and info charts and whatnot, but nothing. Does anybody know about that one?:conf:

lol both screens have been confirmed to be backlit. Nintendo arn\'t going to repeat mistakes like they did with the GBA

And hell that thread got over 60k views
Altho I really don\'t see the BIG BIG news yet of those clues but it does seem to have something to do with net play.. I guess all will be revealed in a months time.. I mean, we\'ve waited since May so what\'s another month gonna hurt  or make that 4 weeks

it\'s going to hurt alot! it\'s kiilling me right now! I want to know what\'s going on, I wonder just how far the DS will go to connect to another DS so you can jump again to go all the way across the US? (I hope you can understand what I just said)

 i\'m not sure what you mean by jumping but yea..

the DS will be able to connect to any other DS in the world (that\'s why their games are universal).

I guess the big surprise is something like a Bnet server for the DS or soemthing.. :conf:

well from the information I\'ve got it says the DS will use other DSs\' as a hub or something and use them to go on to another DS someplace farther down the road and so on and so on and link them all together so you are using a string of DSs to play someone in like New York if you are in California so it works like a big chain. so I\'m just wondering how far the signal will go before it dies .:conf:

yea that would be a good enough explanation as any.. the range is stated to go about 30feet for wireless play depending on the terrain

but for you lucky people over in america, some lan center\'s might set up a DS hub which can send the signals absolutly anywhere to any DS.. meh it would be pretty cool tho..

but the one thing that i havn\'t seen anyone or any article mention is that the wireless multiplayer will be free if it\'s global... you might even need a subscription of some sort.. aaaanywho i\'m sure Nintendo arn\'t that money hungry

About the worldwide connection thing, I heard that there will be certain spots in the world that you can go to to automatically connect to the global thing. I\'ve heard them called cyber cafes or something. I\'ve heard about them in Game Informer and Electronic Gaming Monthly, unless I misinterpretted the info. However, I have no idea how to find these places, if that\'s how this works.

Hey heyyyyyyyy that\'s just the news I was hoping to hear!
I\'m sure that the statements in those magazines will become more of a real thing than \"lets hope the DS does this\" type of article.

If there are many places assuming that the DS has the ability connect anywhere, I really don\'t see how it wouldn\'t work..

Okay, here\'s a quote from EGM that I looked up:

Quote:

In a recent report, the financial firm TNI Securities stated that thanks to the DS\'s Wi-Fi abilities, the system is capable of voice chat and should have the ability to make free phone calls at wireless network hotspots like Internet cafes and airports (presumably using some kind of cell phone headset-like device). As with the DS\'s release date and sticker price, Nintendo has yet to confirm these features.

This is from a two month old issue, so I don\'t know about any newer info.
