Hey!

It\'s Hallowe\'en, again.

Now, last year I did a Darth Vader pumpkin and I posted it on the message board. This year, I did a LeChuck one.

I will also post a picture of LeChuck, in case you haven\'s heard of him (he\'s the main villain in the Curse of Monkey Island (Monkey Island 3).

Now, there are fewer things I love more than the smell of roasting pumpkin in the eavning. It\'s nice, it really is.

Also, I\'m not really all for this now strongly Americanised tradition. Trick-or-treating etc. The pumpkin, I suppose came from lighting a cantle inside any squash to ward of any evil spirits. However, I cannot ignore this old tradition, tjis Celtic new-year! After all, my own family originally came from Celtic Cornwall (very south west of modern-day England. It was a separate country until relatively recently).

Actually, AirMan, I think they used to use potatoes back in Ireland where this all began. One of my teachers explained all about it a couple days ago. You\'re right about the warding off of evil spirits, though.

I\'m starting to think Halloween is grossly over rated. Hardly any kids trick-or-treating and no halloween/scary movies on AMC (a classic movie channel I have). I keep hearing, \"Oh, sells are up this season\". I\'m saying, \"Not here\". Each year seems to be the same...

I would do pranks but I\'m too scared to do them. (Nothing dangerous, btw.) Plus, it\'s very cold over here and running away from angry people in a Link costume would surely give me the flu or something...

I agree with Breakman. I got maybe 6 or 7 groups of trick-or-treaters this year, so I\'m stuffing down the leftover candy myself... ;D
Yeah, I\'ve been trying to keep up with it myself. A pumpkins on my doorstep, and my avi\'s been ready for a couple of weeks now.
Yeah, 2 scary movies came out this year... and I don\'t think they\'ll be the ones to remember.

Nothing seemed to happen to me this Halloween.... I had a guest staying at my house so I really couldn\'t rent scary movies or anything, had to do what they had planned. I did go down to 6th street in the city, where all the freaks dwell, and that was pretty bitchin\'.

As for trick-or-treaters, I really had high hopes for it raining on them... Not that I hate kids, I hate getting up and down or people just wanting their sugar fix. Still, this year I didn\'t get very many.... enough to annoy me but lets see, like; 4 spongebobs, 2 yu-gi-ohs, a cowboy, a doctor, a fairy, and a few little kids that their parents forced a little fuzzy tiger or sheep suit on or something. Kind feel bad for those kids...

But what really bumed me out was none of these kids dressed up scary. Wasn\'t the whole point of Halloween to be scary? Then why do kids have it in their minds to dress up a doctors and stuff... not that I have anything against the profession or anything, (*Points to sig*) just what happened to the days of old where kids dressed up as a blood drentched scream character, or a de-eyed mutant?

Gutter, I was one of those Spongebobs.

I had the porch light off, so no kids came around thankfully. I saw a Ghostbuster though, that was pretty cool..didn\'t know kids actually knew what Ghostbusters was/is.
