How does your school let you stay home or for what reasons does your school let you leave early?

I voted other,in my place,when it is like 20 degrees,then no school.

It happened to me I could stay home because of strikes at public transports.

I get out if I have snow. Happens rarely.

Snow is the only way I get out. Besides hurricanes predicted to hit us and all, and that\'s only happened once. :rolleyes:

Really. Even if it snows here like a really freakishly blizzard, we\'re still forced to go to school because it\'s not that dangerous.

My arse! The physical plant people at WSU are horrible. They don\'t even plow the parking lots at all. It also takes them forever to plow the sidewalks too.
The spokesman\'s logic made me really angry because he was all like, \"Oh, don\'t worry. The snow will melt.\"
I\'m like, \"Yeah, melt into ICE. Hi, it\'s still freezing cold. Ice is more of a hazard than snow, so the best idea is to get rid of the snow on streets/sidewalks/parking lots before people kill themselves because of your laziness!\"

So, yeah, I hate WSU when I can\'t even get out of classes due to freakish weather. *spasms*

i make myself really sick.

Erm....I either make myself sick (for me, I only have to believe I am sick to be sick), or I get out for light hurricane weather or snow. I really love it when it snows. That can mean consecutive days out.:D

However, oftentimes we have to make up missed days. That stinks.:(

I only had one snow day for the past 5 years.Once the power went out one day around 4:30pm at volley ball practice in the gym and lasted through the next day and we still had to go to school!

There was this other thing... Where if your school went by hours as opposed to days, you could get out a week or so earlier.

How do I get out of school? I dont unless its holidays......so sadi am i only voted for no apparent reson since neither is the choices
