Too many bands you might not know.
The Cranberries, Chevelle, Incubus, A Perfect Circle (some of it), The Sundays, Sixpence None the Richer, REM, Moby, stuff like that.

Yup.;D
Go to their site (that\'s back up after a year:D) and they have song previews and such. I listened to one already (not right now, since I\'m in school with shit-for-speakers) and it sounds damn good. You should go check it out, dude!

My favorite band right now, is Orgy. I like so many damn bands though..mostly rock and metal oriented.
But I do like the softer rock stuff too, at times. Like Counting Crows and Smashing Pumpkins and..well, Stone Temple Pilots\' newer stuff. Just all depends on my mood.
Lets see... Newsboys, Skillet, P.O.D., and most of all, Pillar!:D
My fav. song of Pillar is Fireproof (I think you guys know that already)...
I didn\'t! But then again I\'m a newer person here.

Damn, DPX... I don\'t know how you can listen to all those bands. o.o Not saying they\'re bad or anything, no..just saying that they\'re really heavy metal.
I\'ve only seen Cannibal Corpse on Beavis & Butt-Head..but that name is damn cool.
Metallica, Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler, Thin Lizzy, Phil \"Róisin Duph\" Lynott, Jimi Hendrix, B.B.King, Dream Theater, Motörhead, Stratovarius, Twilightning, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Body Count, Mamba, Eric Clapton, Primus, Hurriganes, Metal Church, Eric Johnson, The Eagles, Mercyful Fate, Nirvana, Gary Moore, Manowar...
Believe me Hollow, I know I should\'ve listened to really heavy Metal when I first picked up Cannibal Corpse\'s Live Cannibalism CD, now I have to play catch up to make up to lost time!
Now I dare to seek where others fear to tread...thanks to mp3.com and Terrorizer magazine!
You thought you know metal? wait til you listen to bands like Emperor, Mayhem, Cannibal Corpse and the like.
The Doors, U2, and of course the Sex Pistols.
Let\'s see... I can pretty much listen to any type of music, with the exception of country. Lately I\'ve been listening to Aerosmith, Paula Cole, Carly Simon, and Fuel (did they even do anything recently? o.O), and a little of Linkin Park.
As for naming musical groups/artists that I would actually buy all of their albums and listen to everything that they have ever done, I would have to name REM, The Beatles, The Doors, Queen, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, P.I. Tchaikovsky, and a few old school rap groups.
*has a feeling that something is missing from this selection...*
C'mon people... feel the love!
Me? uh... I know mostly Japanese singers and only three of them are bands:
Brilliant Green, L\'Arc-en-Ciel, The Oystars, Ayumi Hamasaki, Koji Wada, and A.I.M.
(will post more later... gotta go to work now.)

No offense Yumi, but I really don\'t find anything cool about J-pop. I only listen to Western music. A lot of my friends and acquaintances here got a problem about me not liking their country\'s music, which is just my own taste.
PS: I think REM should quit for good, IMO. The more they continue with their current carrier like this, they\'ll certainly be hitting the gutter soon.

*shrugs* Different strokes for different folks, Packard... I understand that completely...

There\'s a lunatic on the grass.
Then I suppose the grass isn\'t greener on that side.
Nope. Its brown and will never come back to life.

Hmm... A lot of REM\'s earlier fans think that the band just hasn\'t been the same since that \"Monster\" album. I will admit, the whole sound of REM has become a bit more brash, and it does seem pretty odd that Bill Berry isn\'t with the group any longer. Their earlier albums were also a lot easier to enjoy, probably because there was more of a melody in them which made the songs a bit more pleasing, IMO. However, the group is still creating music that I can relate with and I can find quite a few songs on each album that makes me happy. I\'m not sure, but I think I got into REM a lot later than you did, Packard. I don\'t know if this has anything to do with me still being loyal to them or not, but I got into their music in 1997-98 and my first album purchase was Up, so I don\'t mind the new sound too much.
Oh, and if you didn\'t know already, the group ain\'t goin\' away anytime soon. If I\'m not mistaken, in 1997 (or \'98), they\'ve made an $80-million dollar deal with their record company to create 5 albums. They\'ve done 3 already (Up, Man on the Moon Soundtrack, and Reveal). Too bad for ya-- you still have to put up with 2 more albums before they can even think about quitting.
C'mon people... feel the love!
I also like New Found Glory, System of a Down, Drowning Pool, P.O.D, Tool, Sum 41, Blink 182, BoxCar Racer, Disturbed, Nickle Back, Silver Chair.... and there is more but can\'t rember.

Yeah, well I\'m sure they won\'t be like their golden era during their contract with IRS. I really miss those times, although I was probably too young to even be interested in their music at the time. *sniff* And IMO, again, I think Monster was their last decent album. Even older bands like Def Leppard and Aerosmith are doing better than they are.
PS: Def Leppard\'s \"X\" totally rocks, just like their previous one, Euphoria.

Umm.... I rember now! Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Chevelle, Trust Company, Cannable Clowns, Nameless Victim....
