I don\'t see any current topics on this so I\'m making one. But if there is one please lock this.

This game was one of the best gamecube games of 2004 I think. I haven\'t played the first Metroid Prime but I\'m planning to start soon. The only thing I didn\'t like in the game was the save system because you have to play sometimes for about an hour before you can get to another save station. I beat the game with 81% scans and 65% collection rate...neither are very good. And I finished in 27 hours...I took my time with it.

What did everybody else think of this game?

I never personally played the first one but it looked pretty cool. Now the second one..... That one looked so \'freaking\' awesome. I played the demo and that game is really fun. I should really go out and buy it. Then again, maybe I should be saving up for college or something.... nah....:lol:

I really loved Echoes.. the only thing I was slightly disappointed about were the environments. Everything was crisp and wonderful.. but.. the Dark Aether places all looked so,... repetative.

i\'ve played the first, i loved the first, the second only felt like an expansion set T_T

i also liked the number 1 it hade better weapons in my opinion and visors

i played both of them.

i prefer the first becaues of the more common items and power ups like the beams. also it gave you more the idea of a real metroid game. the worst was the limited scanable spots you can see with the scan visor. in Echoes the entire thing lights up blue or red depending on significance and green if it has been scanned before

but i like the second one because of the story and the multiplayer mode.(although my friends just turn into morphball and kill me with a kinetic orb cannon... YES YOU CAN DO THAT) the worst thing is the light/dark ammo system. (no infinite annihilator beam)

i don't know which one is better in my opinion
