Yes Net Hunter, but those aren\'t my enemies :P. And Net Hunter and Mega X, I do care about people I don\'t know. How do you think I met Wind? But walking up to me and going, \"Someone died,\" (assuming you\'re a stranger) is not going to make me cry. And neither, I expect, would you. It\'s not even \"My aunt died,\" it\'s SOMEONE died. People still die every day. I mean, sure, SOMEONE\'S aunt died, but they don\'t say the on the news. And, of course, if they did say someone\'s aunt died, and that was simply all, it wouldn\'t make you cry either. But the topics can\'t really promote discussion, unless, like thios, there\'s people who disagree with the topic, it\'s no better then a birthday topic, you know?

I do, however, care about people I don\'t know. I am the first and many times the only one to respond to personal topics at YSRMB. And that was before I knew anyone there even by their posts. I also often get mad when other people ignore a person talking about how they fell upset. Just so you (talking to everyone here) know.

Points of this post:

1) The people who died in the plane crashes, building collapses and fires of 9/11 were not innocent (even though the only people invloved with the plan for this were those who hijacked the planes).

2) People who die in car crashes deserve no sympathy from other people, and the only ones who should care about them are the people who were driving the car and the people who got hit. Also (going by the subject of this topic, made by said person), if you die in a tsunami it means you are more deserving of being cared for then if you die in a car crash. I guess your method of dying shows how good of a person you are.

3) eternal dragon likes to tell people what they are or are not allowed to talk about, not including rules (last sentence, um, assuming you can distinguish sentences in that post).

like was said, I don\'t know them, so I just can\'t be that sad about it. if it were people that I know then I would be sad and it would affect me in a way. But this, I mean I\'m sure they didn\'t disserve to die, most people don\'t, but the fact of the matter is thousands of people die everyday...it\'s just not all in the same place at the same time like this. So why not hold a candle light vigil every day for the thousands of people killed my everyday events? Let me tell you why, because it does not affect you, that\'s why. I mean I don\'t mind that they are getting relief funds, I\'ll bet they need it, but for the world to stop because of one natural disaster just seems kind of ridiculous.

Points of this post:

She\'s not trying to glorify herself. God\'s just trying to prove a point. She never said she was any better than anyone. Also, I checked with her on the name earlier... that\'s not to glorify herself either. A bit of a long story.

I mean, how many times have you turned on the TV, seen, \"12 people civilians died in a car bombing in Falujah,\" or even news about tsunami related deaths, and started crying over it, or even felt heartbroken to hear it? I, and most others, am quite sad to hear the news. I was at 9/11 too. However, because I had no relatives, etc. there, I can\'t relate personally. Therefore, I can show no expressive emotion over it. I\'m pretty sure that\'s how God and Wind feel too. Only they\'d express it in a more clear cut or humorous way.:P

Death is a natural thing... the ways in we die, sometimes can be little twisted and/or unnatural. (Like slipping on a banana peel and cracking your head on the sidewalk, bleeding.)

Call me cold-hearted or what you will, I\'m just trying to say that everyone dies, no matter what. ;_;

Actually, I did feel sad for 9/11 I mean, comon, 50,00 people in each tower, only about 20,000 escaped...taht and..I saw bodies fliing out the windows...o.o;;

Sage, you may have felt sad at September 11th, AimMan said he did too. But I doubt you cried. As a matter of fact, I know for a fact you didn\'t. Some people may have gotten sad, not me, but then that\'s just me. But their lives weren\'t really affected by it. I mean, you still played video games or whatever the next day, did you not? We never said no one would feel sad.

19, mexico has an black event called\"the tragical desene\"
a lot of people died upon those days,I dont know the reason very well,but it was really acordding to the theme and would also apport a little bit of culture to this topic

This is why there aren\'t many serious discussions to be had on this board: Half the people want to weep and care and cry for everybody in the whole wide world, and the other half come across as apathetic and uncaring to everybody else.

Long and short of this has already been said. The people died in a tsunami, just wiped off the face of the earth for the most part. That doesn\'t deserve any more or less caring from total strangers than car crashes, 9/11, or the guy who runs in front of a bus. You grow up, you live, you die. Your cause of death is no more relevant than the time or place, it\'s just something interesting. Do you honestly think that in 50 years anybody will be able to tell you which country was hit by a huge tsunami? Probably not. People forget quick; if you want an example, tell me the name of that guy who blew up a government building and killed a nursery full of kids. It\'s a bit fuzzy, if you remember at all.

That\'s a job for others who are heartbroken about it, other bleeding hearts can provide.

Being apathetic doesn\'t make somebody a bad person. It just makes them different from others in some small, insignificant way. Live life, enjoy it, and when you\'re old and tired, look back and ask if it would\'ve been better to send money to those people who died in... whatever they died in.
