Massive mutiplayer......i think it was what Zera put on top of this post.

I\'d say City of Heroes, but then that\'s the only one I\'ve tried. You make a superhero with lots of customization groups, then select powers from a primary and secondary pool depending on the one of five archetypes you select. Later, you\'ll get pool powers such as Flying and Stealth, and you can get new powers that I haven\'t accessed yet such as Epic and Kheldian (alien) later.
Leveling up can either be accomplished by fighting random punks on the streets or by undergoing hunting or indoor missions. Later on you can fight archvillains and undergo long task forces for extra rewards.
Teaming is optional, but it is recommended, especially for archetypes like the Defender. To keep track of your teammates, there is a friends list; you will gain the opportunity to form an organized supergroup or join one later if you wish. Currently, there is no Player vs. Player, but that is expected to be added with the upcoming City of Villains expansion pack.

World of Warcraft got better reviews in Gamepro then Everquest II, if that helps at all.
