I think it would be a good idea, if, in the announcements forum, you closed all old non-on-going topics such as: the site is down, temporary glitch, etc. There are two reasons for this, one being, of course, the occasional (or maybe not-so-occasional) random n00b/SPAMmer or even newbie who will ask questions about it or post something like, \"Glad you got the site back up :D!,\" 5 months after the problem is overwith. The second reason is, when you go into the announcements forum it\'s much easier to see if any new topics have been made if all the voided ones are closed. I mean you can\'t exactly use the \"Mark Forum Read\" feature on this board, can you? XD.
The question is, is it easier for Dr. Cossack to just close the topics, or is it easier/less time-consuming for people to have to spend a long time actually reading all the topic titles and specifically paying attention to dates? I don\'t know how easy it is to close a topic, but I\'m pretty sure you just click the button and it\'s done. Would it be easier for DC if everyone just had to spend more time in there? Or would it be more benefical to Dr. Coassak/this board if people were more likely to go in there if they know they don\'t have to spend time searching through everything, so that they would see the announcements faster?
So, yeah, that\'s my suggestion [random emoticon].
Topic: I have a suggestion...
For the announcements forum.
