I\'m trying to piece together the storyline for the MegaMan games so that people (including me) don\'t get confused. I\'ll need lots of help though. Here goes:

MM1: Dr. Light and Dr. Wily are two scientists. They make a bunch of robots, like Cut Man and Guts Man to do housework. Then, Dr. Wily steals all of them [except Rock n\' Roll :)] Dr. Light uses Rock to beat all the other ones and peace is restored.
MM2: The escaped Dr.Wily created eight of his own robots to counter Mega-Man
MM3:

MM5:
MM6:
MM7:
MM8:

Between TO and X series: Zero is created by Dr. Wily and X by Dr. Light.
Zero gives the Zero virus [Dr. Wily\'s influence] to Sigma in an accident and starts being good.
Sigma starts infecting.

MMX1:

MMX3:
MMX4: Sigma mindcontrols the leader of the repliforce, General, to make a superweapon to destroy humans. X and Zero stop him.
MMX5:

MMX8:

Between X and Zero series: The Elf Wars. Cyber Elfs are developed, and have incredible power. People starts misusing them, and one, the dark elf which mindcontrols, gets defeated by X, who goes into hibernation to disappear. Zero hibernates for unknown reason. I beleive it was [its in Zero 3] 90% of reploids were killed and 60% of humans were killed [i think]. Neo Arcadia replaces Hunter HQ, but they start going crazy about the possibility of another Maverick Virus attack, and a heck of a lot of reploids were destroyed unjustly.

Zero 1: [warning i dont have this game] Zero awakes from hibernation and helps a group of reploids who resist neo arcadia.
Zero 2: The resistance leader, Elpizo, goes insane and wakes up the Dark Elf and destroys X\'s body. Zero stops him too late.
Zero 3:
I\'m too lazy to finish ;). Help would be appreaciated.

MM3: Wily repents, and Light welcomes him back (what a stupid idea...), and they develop a huge peacekeeping (right...) robot named Gamma. However, Wily, being the arsehole he is, steals Gamma (I wouldn\'t have expected anything less from him). Somehow, Wily has also gotten MM\'s long-lost \"brother\", Protoman to join in on his side. However, Protoman puts on a disguise, identifies himself as Breakman, and then works for Wily. Then he ends up helping out MM anyways. Gamma is of course destroyed by MM in the end, and peace is restored.
MM4: Wily captures Kalinka, the daughter of Russian robot scientist Dr. Cossack, whom he forces to work for him by building or redesigning a number or robots for combat against MM. This doesn\'t work, and when MM is about to beat up Cossack, Protoman shows up, explains the situation, and foils Wily. MM then beats Wily again.
MM5: Wily decides to frame Protoman, by producing a Protoman-disguised robot named Darkman and producing 8 robot masters credited to Darkman, which, of course, do bad things. MM stops things, then realizes that Protoman was framed, and defeats both Darkman and Wily.
MM6: Wily pretends to be a mysterious Mr. X (that\'s not a very suspicious name, is it?), who holds a worldwide contest to find the greatest robot designs of all time. Once he gets the best entries, though, he steals them and reprograms them to do his bidding of...you guessed it, bad things. MM defeats them, then uncovers Mr. X\'s disguise, then defeats Wily. This time, he captures Wily and puts him behind bars. (<Capcom> But we need more plot!)
MM7: Wily is in jail, but four of his \"reserve robots\", which he sealed away in case he ever got thrown in jail, are autonomously released, and...do bad things. Wily escapes in the confusion, and starts...doing more bad things. MM stops these four robots, and meets a mysterious robot named Bass who seems to be helping him. Then Wily builds four more robots, which MM then disposes of as well. As MM confronts Wily\'s fortress, though, Bass reveals that he\'s actually Wily\'s bot, and battles MM. MM then defeats Bass (plus his superform with dog Treble) and Wily. Wily escapes, however, with the help of Bass and Treble, and with a look of regret on MM\'s face as to why he didn\'t just outright kill Wily.
MM8: I haven\'t played this.

Although I have barely played Megaman 8, what I do know is that a Mysterious Robot from outer space named \'Duo\' crash lands on Earth after a battle with another deep space robot.
