You know that bird that looks like peacock? The one that\'s in Megachess, and the MM7 password screen? I\'ve never seen that bird before, but it looks familiar. Does anyone have information on this bird?

That\'s Reggae (score one more for the musical names!). He was originally introduced in some Mega Man manga in Japan as a mean henchman of Dr. Wily, but he had a few appearances in the games later on:

His first game presence was in Rockboard. That\'s where I got that sprite from. He\'s on one of the cards you can get while playing, with usually awful consequences: he can actually put you bankrupt almost immediately!
He was also in the Mega Man 7 password screen, as you said.

As far as I know, that\'s the only two places where he ever showed up in the games. He\'s evil.... Fear him.

Reggae, eh? I\'m surprised that there\'s no character called Jazz yet. ^^ (Makes a fan char. called Jazz)

Strange that they would give a character from an unofficial manga a cameo in the games.....o_O
They should really make Reggae a navi or something. He\'s cool. XD

If I\'m not mistaken, in the Wonderswan version of RockMan and Forte, Bass had his own little birdy companion to rival MegaMan\'s Beat. Maybe that\'s Reggae? I\'d show you if I could, but I\'m afraid SpritesInc is still down. ;_; *Weeps incessantly*

No... I quite clearly stated I was talking about the Bass\'s lil\' bird-helper in the Wonderswan version of RockMan and Forte...

... And in case you didn\'t know, Wonderswan is a portable game console, not a bird.

And hey, whaddya know... I was right!

That\'s a link to one of the only two FAQs GameFaqs has on the Wonderswan version of RockMan and Forte. If you scroll down to the item list, you can clearly see one of them is Reggae.
