I didn\'t believe the rumors, but they turned out to be true: Nintendo announced a new, redesigned Game Boy system. However, it\'s not the successor to the GBA: it\'s actually a new form for that system. After the original GBA, and the following-up GBA SP, I present... the Game Boy Micro!

Honestly, I\'m not excited: I have a SP, and that thing is awesome. While the Micro is an even smaller unit, you get a smaller screen to match. Even if it\'s brighter and similar to the DS\' screens, I\'ll probably not get one: I just wouldn\'t have a use for a smaller system. It\'s still an impressive feat to have such a small Game Boy, though, and it would fit even better in anyone\'s pockets...

Why aren\'t they settled with what they got? They are so unfair... This system better not have a new type of game cartridge or some format... B/

Why such a tiny version of a gameboy if you can do it too with a gba?

I cant believe they came out with this useless thing we have better technology than that,I mean cant Nintento use they\'re time on something a little less.....little?Instead of using they\'re time on whatever this thing is they could have used it on something like the NDS SP,I know its stupid but hey its just a thought,it would be a lot better than this.

Wow... Finally a Game Boy I can resist from buying! It\'s so small... There\'s no point though the SP fits fine in my pocket, and I doubt they\'ll have games only for it, so why did they bother...

One lonesome night, TJ was watching a G4 live E3 coverage. After seeing breif Kingdom Hearts 2 and Shadow the Hedgehog clips, TJ decided this was worth watching. Then TJ saw a small little gameboy, titled micro. The cheif of tje Nintendo E3 tribe then announced \"We made this under many fan complaints...\" and then he went on about teenagers having their baggy pants fall down in public because their GBA\'s or DS\' were too heavy. And this, my friends, is where micros come from.

I heard the Micro has a truly back light screen. The SP has a front lit screen. I would buy a Micro, but not right away. It\'ll probably be $99.99 like all the Gameboys are.

True, but the SP had some features that waranted a purchase. Like the rechargable battery and the front lit screen.

However, the DS does not support the multiplayer GBA games, so it\'s no replacement for the original GBA or the SP. The Nintendo DS (and most likely the GameBoy Micro) won\'t support most of the equipment done for the other GBAs either, like the e-Reader.

Yes, but it\'s shaped differently enough that the e-Reader won\'t be able to fit in. Look at the device and a GBA SP: it connects really, really closely.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is an e-reader?

I, personally, will NOT be buying any game-by with a screen the size of an iPod\'s. Bye, bye detail!

An e-Reader is a scanner for these little cards. When you scan the cards, it allows you to play mini-games or, in the case of some Pokemon game, unlocks bonus items.

I wouldn\'t call them mini-games specifically: there were some complete NES games released a while back. You can see the list of available cards, as well as more details on the unit here.

Yeah, true. But the NES games they released were the tennis game and Excite Bike, more like mini-games. It would\'ve been impressive if they released Final Fantasy or Megaman 1 on e-Reader.

wellllllllllll...... the images have been reported as extremely sharp and i\'m certain that being able to control the brightness will give you a better quality picture
