Here\'s my fan game, Megaman: The Doomsday Project.
This one level demo, for Megaman, is the first level, the first (easy) boss, and a cut scene.
It\'s short, but worth the download.

Infomation:
Enemies so far:
(in order of appearence)
Metool:
A classic returning enemy, from nearly every Megaman game!
Attacks:
Helmet Block - You cannot hurt it while it\'s crouching down.
Buster Shot - Shoots a little shot along to floor. Deals 1 damage.
Flame Buroa
This guy has a short range flame thrower, but he won\'t move away from his posistion. Hit him from afar.
Attacks:
Flame thrower - A short range flame thrower. Deals 3 damage.
Octopod
Not really an enemy, shooting this guy once will cause him to puff up. Jump on him, and he\'ll begin moving, often taking you across spikes or deadly pits.
Attacks:
None
Rolla Blade
This guy rolls along the ground, trying to hit Megaman.
Attacks:
Roll - Rolls across the ground at high speeds.
Mini Cannon
This guy moves up and down, and shoots two lazers every time he stops. How-ever, you can walk thru him.
Attacks:
Buster Lazer - Shoots two lazers left. Deals 1 damage.
Froggamog
Make sure this guy doesn\'t cover you in his slime! He also has a very high hit point range.
Attacks:
Slime Bomb - Shoots a slime ball across at your direction. If your hit, it\'ll stick to you, doing up to 3 damage.
Bug Bell
This little bugger follows you around.. and he\'s quick.
Attacks:
Follow - Follows you around.
The Boss - Mega Cannon Crush
This boss is rather easy, his pattern is alot like the smaller cannon, but there\'s a twist to this battle. There\'s a moving spike platform. Make sure it doesn\'t hit you, or bye, bye Megaman! Make sure you jump up to the highest platform.
Attacks:
Lazer Buster - Shoots two lazers in the direction the cannon is facing. Does 1 damage.
Spike Pit - A rising pit of spikes that kills on contact.

I have been told that the essence of being Splash Woman is not in attaining perfection, but in the attempt.

This is awesome! Except how come when you shoot, Rock shoots downwards until you jump? Then he shoots forward the rest of the game. But you should really fix that.
EDIT: Yeah, um, I just died, and it froze.

ACE_Spark, could you help me with something? I use MMF as well, but I don\'t know how to fix the \"shooting straight down\" problem there is after the character jumps. How do you fix this?
what function have you set to have your character shoot?
The most common problem is setting your chatacter to shoot in direction of its movement. That means that when he falls down from jumping, he shoots down. Of course, there are a number of reasons for this, but also, several ways to solve it.
This is the function I use, it solves the problem, and opens up a lot of controll possebilleties: Make your character in two parts, a top part and the legs. The top part could be the upper body, or just the gun. Then, link them together using the hotspot and tell the engine to always link the upperparts hotspot to the legs (not the other way, or the legs will fall through the ground.) The upperbody must also be character controlled, or it won\'t turn with the legs. Set it to eight directions movement. The bottom part should be the standard platform movement.
It is vital that the two parts have the same speed, accseleration and disaccseleration. If they don\'t, one might fall behind and make it look pretty strange. To make the linking even more mooth, shut off acc. and deacc.
Now, set the top part to shoot in its directions. also, set the top to only move to the left and right. Now, you can jump, and fire left and right. If you want to fire up, down or diagonal, just incluide thease directions to the top\'s movement.
This formula is not meant for ladders to be included. If that is the case, you\'ll have to develop it more. Hope it helps.

Snakeman.EXE, could you please walk me through this process? I\'ve spent about an hour or so, now, trying to match up the falling speeds and running speeds, but it\'s too complicated. I feel as though I might\'ve done something wrong...
