Wind never SAID he was keeping this place alive. As a matter of fact, this place ISN'T alive. And for the record, he DID single-handedly keep a place alive and he BROUGHT IT BACK TO LIFE, not this one though.

And yes, he would be missed. And no that doesn't mean me.

Actually, if someone makes a work of art, or, if something is someone\'s work, you should look at it for what it is, and either criticize or praise it; if the person did a bad job, you say so. EVERYTHING was made by SOMEONE, and not EVERYTHING is good. No one, however, is saying that the Doc did not do a good job creating this board or that he does not work hard to keep it running. We both obviously like Doc\'s work on the board, or we would not be here/have ever joined here.

YES maybe I should start posting more, but I find myself unable to think of any topics, or even anything to contribute to existing topics. Same with OMH. And I\'ve learned that when I don\'t know what to say, it\'s best to keep quiet, or I\'ll say something stupid. I regret not being able to do anything. I can\'t count the number of times I sit there with the message board open trying to come up with SOMETHING.

I\'d like to share my thoughts on this. I don\'t think this board has gone into the gutter, myself. The board isn\'t really any worse than it has ever been. It might be abit less active than in the past, but that hardly qualifies it as going downhill. Activity on message boards fluctuates.

Also, it becomes difficult for a medium such as a message board to remain interesting to individuals over time. What attracts us to message boards is discussion, plain and simple. As members become more familiar with each other, there begins to be less and less to talk about. While all members here have or should have an interest in Megaman, the rest of our interests vary. If the board is in a slightly inactive phase, it is because there isn\'t much to talk about that has wide appeal. If there is, the board will become more active. Look at the topic I created about the most recent Star Wars - not even a month and already on its fourth page of discussion.

I appreciate that members here care enough about the board to be upset about it\'s state. However, I wish said members would put their feelings aside and look at this rationally. You have to ask yourself, \"What can I contribute to the board?\" If everyone relies on others to initiate conversations, nothing will be said.

This isn\'t entirely directed at you, Wind. So if you feel that I\'m harping at you with things that don\'t apply, please cast such feelings aside. This post is actually for everyone. I sincerely hope that everyone reads what I have said and thinks about it.

That said, maybe I\'m completely wrong.

I wasn\'t I was arguing on my own, as that statement has nothing to do with Wind. Not to mention that what you quoted was said before he said that, so there is no \"continuing.\" And nowhere did it state, imply or show that it did not understand your sentence.

all i can say is, this thread itse\'f has basically turned into the thing you want to get ride of, an annoyance. right now, your all just arguing about helping the board. All i can say is, this thread has turned into a complete waste, i agree that something may needed to of been said to get people more involved in the forum, but constantly *****in about who\'s done what and blah blah blah, isn\'t helping much. so stop already. everyone just stop trying to cover up and blah blah blah, let it go. the point of this thread has been made, now leave it be.

Many people would instead say that the worst spam ever seen was in the Battle Network forum around the time of the release of MMBN3. Things usually pick up some speed during summer, and THEN people start to complain against the spam created by all those who happen to be on vacation. The same thing applies directly to the oekaki board.

Sometimes, I wonder if people all start yelling \"it\'s dying\" at things that have simply been around for a long time even if they\'re doing fine. It happens to Apple, it happens to Nintendo, and now it\'s happening here. What\'s up with that?

You\'re probably right, Doc. Things always slow down for websites (and pretty much everything else) during school months. Hopefully we\'ll get some more members that\'ll stick around.

On a side note, I was one of those people who came here not long after MMBN3 came out. My first post was one of those annoying and numerous help topics.

Anyways, the board can\'t go down so long as there are still members left. Why not simply ignore spam topics and only check what you care about? There aren\'t that many topics that are that bad anymore. The problem you may be seeing is that there are no more interesting topics, or that there\'s too many you don\'t care about. Really, that isn\'t anything we at the message board can fix, because this is probably due to a change of your own tastes. It might also be that people have just started to veer from topics you care about.

At any rate, things will liven up as soon as MMBN5 comes out, especially considering Double Team comes out shortly after. However, if you\'re not a MMBN fan, it will probably be boring as mess.:P

Or maybe not. Anyways, I can\'t leave because I can\'t make myself pick up another message board... At least we\'re not as bad as Gaia Online (MESSAGE BOARDS FROM HADES!).

I was wondering if this could be moved to the chit-chat forums or summich, eh? It\'s kind of sad to see that one screen and some added neon text with a bunch of lols and other internet lingo gets so much attention compared to a picture where people actually spent hours on and only three people comment.

The forum is not dead. It\'s the same bloody forum, just new members. I know back in the day I use to like most members on the forum, but there would always be a few I didn\'t like. The ones that yelled at me, etc, etc, childhood scars. I think maybe I turned into one of those people that yell in the past two years.

Don\'t think that other people don\'t enjoy this board. Just because you don\'t doesn\'t mean others think the same way, you have to look at the whole spectrum of opinions. One-up the Scarecrow and grow a brain, you have to be fair about things.

So... if you�re such a knobber about the condition of this place, just leave then. This is an example of contributing to spam and adding unneeded angst. Jesus Christ, it\'s a Megaman board, not General Hospital you twits. We should be talking about how the best strategy to beat Tenguman in X1 or something. It sounds a bit stupid to me to talk about something like that but it is a Megaman board, that\'s its purpose. If you�re here and you talk about non-Megaman related things your actually a spammer I would think, right? You know the spammers actually come to talk about Megaman, although most lack basic typist skills. It\'s a bit ironic how you could complain about that.

Well I dont\' know about other members, but when I\'m on a board I like to look at everything, and if there\'s a lot of \"SPAM\" topics it also makes it harder to find the goos topics, because you have to search through more pages to find them, also, it makes you more likely to MISS a non-\"SPAM\" topic because maybe the title makes it look like a \"SPAM\" topic, and because there\'s so much (assuming there was) you might not even look at it. Well we\'re not exactly commenting on the quality of his work, are we? Just \'cause this is here doesn\'t mean any other topics in this forum are getting any less attention, any more then they would be if this was in the chit-chat forum (same amount of effort and/or time would go into posting responses either way). Though it\'s not arguing for the movement or non-movement of this topic, though I see no reason to do so if it wasn\'t already.

I think if anyone has a problem with what members are here or aren\'t, it wouldn\'t be based on their personality (in general, overall population, etc.) but rather their n00bishness (or non-n00bishness).

Somehow, it looks like that as the community matures, it can no longer endure the immature ellements that have been there since the beginning. This is a message board: new people join every few days, and a somewhat constant percentage of these users are new at Internet communities. As such, they don\'t know how to behave until they learn more about the Netiquette and such. There\'s no way to avoid that besides completely blocking registerations.

I know back in the day I use to like most members on the forum, but there would always be a few I didn\'t like. The ones that yelled at me, etc, etc, childhood scars. I think maybe I turned into one of those people that yell in the past two years.

considering I haven\'t even touched a video game let alone a mega-man game in at least a year, does that mean I should not be here?
I come here strictly for the chit-chat and fan work forums, I helped with MMBN1/2 back in day. So it doesn\'t make me any less part of the community because I lack megaman knowledge. right?

As for what everyone is saying about this being a MegaMan board and you should leave if you no longer wish to discuss that, yes, it is a MegaMan board, but the reason people still come here if they are no longer that intrested or no longer want to discuss the games, is because of the people here... they have made friends, possibly been helped through things or found a place to relax, or just found (or used to find) this to be a message board with good topics and discussions (both about MegaMan and outside of it), and so they do not want to leave because of the people here... not all of them, obviously, but some of them, and this is the place they met.

Have you played Megaman games at one point in your life? Do you know who \"Protoman\" is? Were you once a fan, at least partially? I think you\'re part of the community then.

But really, if you have NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER in Megaman anymore...why are you at a Megaman board? (I\'m not saying you don\'t, I\'m being hypothetical)

I haven\'t played a Megaman game in years, but I\'m still interested to see what Capcom is doing with the franchise (nix MM Zero and Battle Network..) And I can very well discuss Megaman in conversation..it\'s just that I don\'t know jack about Battle Network or MM Zero.

Of course not.
Megaman drew me here, correct, and I wouldn\'t belong here if I WASN\'T attracted to megaman at one point in time. Frankly, as I grew and matured I found no need for megaman anymore and I simply moved on.
We all sucked on binkys and we all lost our baby teeth, everyone moves on and it only makes them MORE of a person.
