I\'ll argue on that. Seriously, I can\'t seem to find the large amounts of spam that inspired the picture you posted on the first page of this topic. Unless Necro and Breakman have been deleting spam like mad without telling me, things have been mostly quiet on that side lately.
I believe the problem there, DC, is that what we term as \"SPAM\" (\"we\" being \"I\" and any other members of this board that think there is too much \"SPAM\") is n00bs posting one-word replies with bad grammar, etc., when every single post they make and/or every single post in a topic is like that, while what you term as \"SPAM\" is only something that breaks the rules. Of course, anyone else who thinks there\'s \"SPAM\" COULD be talking about breaking rules, but I don\'t think they are. Note that this paragraph was not written with a rude tone in mind, but rather an offered explanation for why we see \"SPAM\" and you don\'t. Actually, in the last two months or so, it seems to be more of a lack of posting period then of \"SPAM,\" but most of what\'s posted still is \"SPAM.\"
As for Nintendo, they were probably talking about the amount of people who stay loyal to Nintendo rather then some other company/system, though I don\'t agree with that statement should it exist.

On a side note, I was one of those people who came here not long after MMBN3 came out. My first post was one of those annoying and numerous help topics.
It was wondering if maybe we should have a pinned \"Got a question about the board\" topic in the Chit-Chat forum to reduce those, because, even though those topics don\'t probably belong in the Chit-Chat forum, that\'s where a lot of them seem to go asking the same questions over and making more work for mods to close them, etc. Just an idea.

It\'s just a screenname; it doesn\'t mean anything like what you seem to be implying. If you would like, you can continue calling me Pikachu!, as was my original two-something-day screenname before it could think of anything better, you can call it Kitty, it\'s name, or you can simply call it \"it.\" It also goes by the screenname of mewgirl.

Anyways yeah, to summarize I agree with Doc and Necro, I\'m not trying to get anyone to leave, just to stop berating Doc\'s creation..and uh, I guess that\'s it.
Yeah think he said in his second post he wasn\'t berating.

Hence the idea of the thing about \"SPAM\" terminology, Doc.

Why not simply ignore spam topics and only check what you care about?
Well I dont\' know about other members, but when I\'m on a board I like to look at everything, and if there\'s a lot of \"SPAM\" topics it also makes it harder to find the goos topics, because you have to search through more pages to find them, also, it makes you more likely to MISS a non-\"SPAM\" topic because maybe the title makes it look like a \"SPAM\" topic, and because there\'s so much (assuming there was) you might not even look at it. Finally, more \"SPAM\" and n00b-talk attracts even even more n00bs and \"SPAM\"mers.

Well we\'re not exactly commenting on the quality of his work, are we? Just \'cause this is here doesn\'t mean any other topics in this forum are getting any less attention, any more then they would be if this was in the chit-chat forum (same amount of effort and/or time would go into posting responses either way). Though it\'s not arguing for the movement or non-movement of this topic, though I see no reason to do so if it wasn\'t already.

The forum is not dead. It\'s the same bloody forum, just new members. I know back in the day I use to like most members on the forum, but there would always be a few I didn\'t like. The ones that yelled at me, etc, etc, childhood scars. I think maybe I turned into one of those people that yell in the past two years.
I think if anyone has a problem with what members are here or aren\'t, it wouldn\'t be based on their personality (in general, overall population, etc.) but rather their n00bishness (or non-n00bishness).

If you want something done about the condition of a place (or about any topic), ya gotta mention it :P. Though Wind has already stated and it has been mentioned three times that that wasn\'t his intent with *this* topic.
