Will they ever make a FFXIII?
I mean maybe they think it\'s bad luck, and it just won\'t sell?
Has anyone already heard any rumors?

The FF-series are great, although... myself hasn\'t gotten any, but a friend does.

What if some characters from previous games get together somehow?
Or, really weird enough, that a person from the \"REAL EARTH\" gets to the \"FF GALAXY\"

I just moved from Japan, and as Doc said the number 13 does not really mean anything bad. Another Point why would Square kill such a huge money maker? Why wouldn\'t it sell Morphman, its just a number in a series of really great RPG\'s, fans wouldn\'t care.

I\'m getting kind of out of the FF series ever since FFX. FFX-2 was ok, but FFXI was just too expensive and, although it contains the races of FFTA, FFXII isn\'t looking very good, mostly because of the main characters. But yeah, other people will buy it. There\'s plenty of other RPGs in the sea though.

You know, wasn\'t FFTA already kind of a guy being placed in the FF universe? I mean, whats-his-face is thrown into the game world of Ivalice?

Now that we now that, lets BEG those game makers for a FFXIII!!!

Man...FF is dead to me. People rave about 7 when it was just a mediocre game in my oppinion. The Snes ones were fun but then they used the same story over and over and over again for all the games up untill the end of time. I don\'t like generic, uninspired stories with tired, rehashed combat in my RPGs. I\'d be just as happy if they didn\'t make another. Then again...I\'d just ignore it untill another topic like this comes up so I should be fine.

And why concern yourself with 13 if 12 isn\'t even out yet?

And actually, I haven\'t played any of the games, well parts of the first ones and FFX, but I wondered what other people were thinking about it, since I want to make a Flash movie about it... :rolleyes:

Aim, you read that article wrong. There has never been any confirmation of a FF VII remake in development.

Well, yeah, I realize that the trailer of FFVII was just a tech demo for FFVII and that an actual remake has never been announced. But the way the article described things made it sound like 3 new FFVII related things are to come out, and because 1 of these is Dirge of Cerebrus and another is the Advent Children movie, I sort of figured that, especially considering the fact that they\'d already described the staying power of FFVII and the easiness of remaking the game, that it was likely that the third was a remake of FFVII.

But yeah, I guess it never mention\'s an official announcement of a new FFVII.

Thanks for the correction I was thinking of the FF7 remake.

There\'s also a game coming out for the PSP I believe? I\'m not sure but I faintly remember reading/hearing about this.

The article just was saying that they thought the next step after the current releases would be to remake FF VII.

maybe they change the name of the game. they did it earlier you know. we got FF3 but it was really FF4 or 5 in Japan. maybe they do the same now and call it FF XVI (14)

Dammit! Now that idea of mine of Flash Movies about FF13 isn\'t so original anymore...

I recently learned that, despite what I had originally hoped, it appears that the DS (or PSP?) Final Fantasy to be released is actually the Japanese Final Fantasy 3, not the American one which is actually Final Fantasy 6. I really loved FF6. That and the Final Fantasy Legends Gameboy series were the best. 2 and 3 especially so.

Er, anyways, they\'ll have to spice it up a whole lot, because by now Final Fantasy 3 is pretty old! As is the artwork... It\'s a pretty unappealing style. Not sure if any of that was very pertenent to topic.

That last thing you said, doesn\'t really matter. But if they change that storyline and add some characters from the other games -well, with almost the same looks and personality- and they do it in 3D and make the graphics very good and such, it\'ll be Final Fantasy, A+ rated!

..........Who ever said that it needs to be 3D to be A++..........?

Anyways, since it\'s for the DS or PSP, I really would much rather it stay 2D. They have pretty good 3D capabilities, but I find Final Fantasy to be more appealing in traditional sprites, etc.
