I don\'t think I\'ve ever been positive about america either...

I like cats and have never gotten into a tussle with AirMan over them. *shrug* It\'s just that, it seems you\'re trying to start something, and that\'s never good, man.

AirMan\'s in the UK. He most likely has a relatively positive outlook on \'his\' country just because he was born there. Same with you..you defend america because you were born here.

Personally I think this \'defending the country with words\' bull is pointless.

1) I didn\'t know that,

and 2) Was that Wind posting on Match\'s account, Match thinking that was directed at him, Match posting AS IF it was directed at him because the same situation applied, or some weird glitch?

Yes but if you\'re told an emergency is coming, you can decide what to bring with you and decide not to die. If it\'s an evacuation, the house will still be there and still be theirs should the emergency end up not having occured.

Black Dranzer, is that what I said? No, I said I didn\'t care about it PERSONALLY, and I never said I DID care about this one, either. So actually, I said none of those.

And I think we should keep personal arguments off this board.

My beef with Samsara, is that he always insults America, everytime he mentions America he attaches some negative connotation. In the entire time that I\'ve known him, the only time he\'s ever said anything positive about America, is about some of the performers that came out of it.

Hell, I jokingly challenged his hate of cats once, and got a lecture on why cats equal teh destruction of the enviroment, and if I recall, I was attacked for my like of them.

But if I have dissed nations frequently in the past--and not like my occasional Canada joke--then please show it to me. I would gladly eat my words and renounce the statement.

America is a wonderful place. It has some of the greatest landmarks in the world, the Grand Canyon and Niagra Falls being but two, and some of the biggest cities. I just think that the Americans have made some pretty stange choices in their time.

Actually, in this topic, I have not once bashed Americans. I have just been stating that the President has been too busy fighting wars in far-off lands to protect the very people who entrusted their country in him for the second time. Seems like a poor way to repay them to me.

There\'s that, and there\'s the shoddy workmanship on the levvies.

Yes, there were safehouses..like the Dome..thing..whatever the hell it was.

But I assume if you\'re a single mother with 5 kids with no car and no money, and you live 8 miles away from any safehouse...you\'re supposed to just \"run\" there?

I\'m not defending the morons who stayed behind to watch their \'precious\' (worthless) material possessions. I\'m defending the people that indeed had no way to get to anyplace \'safe\'.

Believe me, I used to think the same way as you ignorami but I realized that some people honestly did not have a way to get away from the hurricanes path.

And I remember..when Texas was going to be hit, traffic was at a standstill. I assume if the hurricane had hit that traffic, people would be bitching that those people \"were morons\" and should\'ve \"gotten out of their cars and outrun\" a hurricane?

I guess it\'s only human to generalize.

Sorry, I\'ve been quite gassy this season ;D...

It\'s natural... if people didn\'t want to die, they could have fleed while they had the damn time. Yeah, I guess not all of them had known of the news, but when you see a huge swirl of wind coming your way, run. Damn politics and idiots...

Also, Windy, do you hate me...

Okay, to get rid of the thing about \"those-people-should\'ve-gotten-away-whilst-they-could-or-be-seen-as-morons\": It has happened already, people should learn from it and move on.

To those in the discussion about being \'against\' America: Most people who are \'against\' America are Americans.

To Dr. Cossack: Oh yeah. I\'ve seen it from both sides. The Canadian part is awesome. And at night, with all the lights... cool...

Wtf, I thought this was a topic about hurricanes, not about Americans hating eachother. If you want to talk about that, make a topic called \"America... >.<\" or something like that.

Btw, ROCK ON FRENCHLAND (or as some of you like to say, France. However I think Frenchland is a better name. I Don\'t know why, it just sounds better. I mean, come on. Frenchland gives that rebel sence that makes everyone fear you. When someone hears Frenchland they should fear. France... pfft... Wow this is the longest parathanses ever, I wonder how much I can go on... Meh, I\'m bored)!!! =P

1. I did use correct grammar. If you\'re referring to Hypercanes, I\'m willing to explain what they were.

2. Okay, you got me there.

3. Does that matter? =P Some people who\'ve been here longer act more n00bish. Not you, that is, I\'m reffering to other recent \'Member Come-Backs\'.

Ok, now I\'m getting off topic. Anyways, whatever happened to the Katrina people? They seemed to have been pushed aside with other topics. Oh well, it was getting worn out, yeah yeah, natural disasters happen, deal with it. You can\'t stop them, I mean, without them, the world wouldn\'t be shaped into what it is now, in many ways. I mean, if Katrina never happened, would we even be posting here? That hurricane opened the eyes of many. Deal with it.

Zera, don\'t start arguments. He did use correct grammar, and except in the case of medium-to-really bad n00bs who DON\'T, nobody cares who\'s been here longer.

Especially if one person (i.e. not you) has contributed to the board more.

And yes, I was going to ask \"wtf is a hypercane?\" as well.

Yes, just not this topic, and that\'s not exactly a major change in anyone\'s life =\\. Katrina has not done anything major for the world, but you should be talking about things such as the earthquakes which spilt the continents into pieces or a MASS of natural disasters for population control.

Anyway, for the post I would have made without all that,

Why is everyone talking about whether or not these people deserved to die? We\'re not helping (or not helping) the ones that DIED.

What\'s a Hypercane?

A Hypercane is a kind of hurricane that existed millions of years ago. Due to great heats emitted by vulcanoes in that time, and that heat might often go to the polar areas, the differences in temperature in heat and cold air was a lot more than what\'s normal when a hurricane starts. That\'s why Hypercanes were a lot stronger, the weakest being at least 10 stronger. The average hypercane being 100 times stronger than the average hurricane. Fortunately for humans, we didn\'t exist back in that age, just after and before the era of the dinosaurs.

Hey God, I have givin a fair amount to the boards. Back when I was active, I gave a lot of info on upcoming things, so shut your mouth.

Also, I didn\'t just mean Katrina, what I meant was like pretty much all natural distasters.

Frankly, I don\'t care who has contributed the most to the boards and I can\'t see why you\'re arguing about it.

I personally think that Hurracane Katrina wasn\'t exactly nice, so we shouldn\'t be talking about whether or not they deserved it or not, or whether they were stupid for hat they did. What you hav to think about is what you would do if everything you had to your name was destroyed. If you happen to be a Buddhist, you probably wouldn\'t care, but most of you probably aren\'t.

as many flaws as America supposedly has, I still love living here, majority of us have it really good. The whole thing is corrupt and all the but hey, who (that lives in America) can honestly, full-heartedly say they hate it?

I don\'t like the US but hey, at least we can all be lazy fatasses here and play videogames until our arms fall off, then sue the VG companies even though it was our own stupid faults for playing videogames. And then sue Frito-Lay because we ate so many Cheetos that our hands are permanently orange and sue them for getting fat and having no nutrients.

...aside my sarcasm, I do admit I like the army/marines/navy. The people, not the whole \"lolz they blow up teh ragheads\" stuff. It\'s a shame we\'re using them for such pointless reasons but hey..I still admire them.
