They better not take CM too far becuase if they do I\'m just gonna cry.:cry:
I think that all that really needs to be done is to perfect the 3D. The gameplay\'s really about the same as ever, only the look has changed. Maybe get over a few problems with Zero\'s hair and find a way to get back the X-liness of actions, and I\'m sure it will be just as good.

Doesn\'t matter. I like it both ways:cool: 3-D and 2-D.
Side scollers a great, they\'re the original. However, with 3-D you can find all kinds of secret crap, more then you can in 2-D. But, in 2-D you can\'t get really lost and end up in some room full of lava with flame-throwing robots (MMX7). But in 3-D you have Mavericks everywhere, meaning more stuff to kill:muha: But in 2-D you\'ve still got alot of guys to pwn, you can have some flying behind you, some in mets front, and a fly-freack above ya:) So I guess either way you still have lots of stuff to kill...and that\'s always kool:cool:

It\'s still an anime style, even if it is 3D. It still is much more or a cartoon style than it is one of realism. Being 3D isn\'t enough to cross graphics out of anime; the character\'s would have to also drop the larger eyes and other distinctly anime features.

i specially like the 2d sidescrollers, but for games like MMXCM it better to put it in 3D
another thing is that when it is 3D you can put less enemies on the screen which means less PWNAGE.

maybe they can combine 2D and 3D into a Papar Mario style.....(WTF)>0_o
it can look cool and is quite original cuz the Manga style can be used without the modifications of 2D-3D. a lot of games have that.

I like the new 3-D. I agree it should continue to be platformer style, but I think X8 got it perfectly. They\'re going to do the same thing in the new \"Maverick Hunter X\" game coming out on the PSP.
Back from another thousand-year hibernation.
OfflineI preferred things back in the X5-X6 era. I think that was the pinnacle of the series too. After all X7 sucked, X8 made a mockery of the earlier games, CM was really the only good one of the new ones.
That\'s just my opinion.
Nowadays, the only game I really like from X is X1... I still think it would\'ve been cool if Zero only stayed dead.
X4-6 was excellent in 2D animation
I played X8 before X7, and thought the 2.5D transition was pretty well done
X7 was disgusting.
but i would prefer it back to the classic 2D style. its what megaman games were all about !
2-D is better and 3-D is okay for rpg only.
