Those dA links weren\'t working for you because she took them down, FlareMan. Or dA has been up and down recently if you were getting a 404.

Dude. If these people ACTUALLY DO cut, then you\'re using one of those different definitions of \"emo\" I mentioned. Not the one being discussed in this topic.
Oh by the way... NOT EVERYONE CARES WHETHER THEIR PARENTS LOVE THEM OR NOT. Jesus, people can\'t get that through their head...
Okay reading further into your post you did make the distinction on the first one...

No. He said what we\'re saying. He said they do it cause \"everyone else is.\"

And besides, the way most of them cut--across the wrist in the direction of say the thumb to the pinky or vice versa--has never ever been known to kill anyone.
This, however, can be a real attempt. I didn\'t used to know that.
Love your pictures, though :P. I wonder how many places would ban you for that, lol... but the help thing. No. Therapists = waste of money which may actually hamr the perosn depending on circumstances. In most cases, and always for depression.

2nd. No, no, no. I\'m saying the Posers copy it, for one reason... \"Everyone else is doing it!\"
They have no reason to cut, they just do it cause they think it\'ll make them popular.
Why? How the heck should I know?! I\'m the blacksheep in my town! w00t w00t for blacksheep!!
However, there are \"Emos\" (as you put it) who cut and whatnot for the reasons I already listed. How do I know this, you ask? Mega X, I knew someone who cut that second way. They were what you people call \"Emo.\"
But, they are not just doing it because \"everyone else is.\" They are also doing it for attention, not to be popular but to have everyone say, \"Your life sucks are you okay I love you.\" But, there are people who just fall into the first group. As for someone who cuts the second way, if it was deep enough and/or they didn\'t want anybody to know about it (emos as in this topic would go around showing it to everybody on purpose), they were \"emo\" as the group at SRO describes it. Not as the group on this board describes it. This group is not actually in that much pain. Unless, of course, it was a fake cut, in which case it makes them more detecab;e then normal \"emos\" because they KNOW the correct way to cut, and still aren\'t doing it. Also, it is entirely possible to have a cut on the wrist which was not intended to kill (or get attention). I have done so myself once or twice. Well, actually, did it once and lied to say it wasn\'t for suicide the second time. It hurts more there.
And not everybody who cuts is suicidal. But mst \"emos\" claim to be.
lol @ Sipder...

I\'ve heard this form you a lot, and then I heard it from my sister. She said her friend Emily was doing this in front of her. I at first thought she was an LPR, but then wait, I\'m sure it CAN hurt. NOt that much, not as much as cutting or real burning, but it can probably hurt fairly badly. LIke a rugburn, and then it gets raw. Though I\'m not sure if the eraser burn would get raw. Anyway, if they\'re CLAIMING it\'s a scar, then they obviously are, but I don\'t know what to think about this Emily person who was doing it and telling the truth about where it came from.

But that\'s not quite right. If goth is mainly a dressing style, if anything else at all, then the real ones are doing it just to make themselves look intresting. But I\'m thinking you probably meant it the other way.

I suppose in the same way goths don\'t listen to Kaiser Chiefs? :P
Never heard of \'em. Well I\'m sure some do, but I meant in the general, steretypical way. Linkin Park is not exactly a punk rock band, hardcore, heavy metal, or horror-themes. They\'re AlternaRap. The Goth stereotype (real or fake) is harder then that, and if they do listen to alternative they probably listen to it less often and don\'t have many CDs.
