This is somewhat related to the angst issue, but I think it\'s seperate enough to warrant its own topic. Do you guys think that in recent months we may be losing our patience with new people? I at least have found myself a lot more high-strung than I used to be.

Any thoughts?

Not alot of new guys are online.But yes cause we dont know who they are so you dont see them alot and when they are online and they have no clue what there doing.I dont know.

No, it\'s not as bad as Kiryu. Kiryu is like the uhh... Ice Age, it happens every like... long time.

Axl Z and Nick are probably the only reason I have lost my patience. They act like they know everything... And like they have been here a long time. Nick seems to have an imaginary friend, and uses him in his social life, as it seems, a lot. He also acts like he\'s still a small kid. There\'s a line between imagination and... that other thing.

These two also SPAM a lot. It gets annoying... I do not see why Doc hasn\'t banned them yet.

I personally believe that Doc is just exhibiting the patience he wants all of us to have. Enforcing a \"I only ban if I absolutely have to\" policy. It\'s... it\'s getting close to that time though. <_<

I try my best to maintain patience but except there\'s times when Nick, Axl X, and Spider 777 ramble on stuff that\'s not related to the topic and I\'m like, \"That\'s not even contributing.\"

Same here, but I mostly get pissed by those so called \"n00b hunters\". They\'re downright annoying. Posting only to say not to double post, posting only to say that post #145387 is spam. Gets annoying after awhile. And some of them post just to say that a topic is useless...well, if it\'s useless, don\'t bother posting -.-;

It\'s possible to have fun while respecting the board and rules. Don\'t even try and defend what you\'re doing or try to justify it. You are not respecting this board and if you were at another board without an admin with a heart of gold you\'d likely already be banned. Respect the Doc\'s patience with you and actually try to be a member that contributes.

I think that we have been losing patience, but I think that\'s in part due to the recent decline in engaging topics. Hear me out.

Back when I joined this board MMBN was huge, and most of the n00bs where coming just to hang out and discuss that game. But recently it seems the noobs are coming and hanging out in -Chit Chat- which used to be full of intelligent discussions, fun threads, and some really heated debates.

Now it\'s just trash polls that people make because they want their name next to a topic. Seriously, the quality of the threads is drooping, not just the new member standards. I think that if we had some really good threads going the new members might take things a bit more seriously, and not just spam because they have nothing better to do.

That and we used to have the luck of getting cool newbies. Where are the Pockets of yesteryear?:(

I think I haven\'t paid to much attention to Axl, but he seems like another guy who wants to have fun his own way.

SPAM isn\'t really just posting short messages. It\'s posting messages without meaning, without relation to the subject at matter. And as ma good ol\' momma used to say: \"Tie that well into your ears.\"


Second cometh Nick. Ooh, Nicolaus, thou who art a disgrace to thy name. He seems to, no, DOES act like this board is all role-playing. I can\'t give exact numbers, but over 50% of his posts include this stuff with his \"Navi\", whatever the heck his name is, and himself, who prolly couldn\'t even come up with a decent alias.

@Nick: I don\'t know if you haven\'t noticed, but this board isn\'t all role-play. In fact, it\'s not even part of it, really. You SPAM a lot, as did Axl, but Axl seems more of an overhyped superhero fan who actually wants to have fun. Of course, this doesn\'t mean he\'s anything better than you.
Also, with many of your little \'comics\' it\'s like this with other people\'s sprites: \"Use first, ask later.\"
That\'s not how it works, PAL. You ask permission first, and only if you get it, you are allowed to use them. And that goes for every. Single. Sheet.
Like with that sprites Mr. Mettaur created as a character representing me. Both you and Spider have used them, without even asking his permission. Or so I think. Now listen up, I don\'t care if that character is used in your work, as long as permission was given by the right person.

Have I lost my patience? Well... yes, which explains my long leave of absence from the board. It\'s really quite frustrating to have a number of people who, no matter what you say, refuse to follow rules, and accuse you of trying to spoil there \"fun.\" (But is seems okay that they kill everyone else\'s...) But... I\'ve cooled off a bit. Granted, I\'m still annoyed with certain people, but I think it\'ll always be that way- there\'ll always be people no matter where I go to annoy me. I definitely think that correction is in line for certain people, but I think maybe all this recent talk about how to deal with it may help. I know I\'ve jumped down people\'s throat before, and others here as well, and sometimes, it really is warrented, but I think that I, for one, eventually got way too hot-headed- and I\'m sorry for that.

I usually try to get along with new members here, but I am unusually impatiant, now. I am OK with Nick. Apart from when he goes schizo, he is alright. Axl z is OK, but is sometimes a tad annoying, for reasons already listed. The only person, though, who is sapping most of my patience, and is why I have so little left for Axl z, is Spider777. Quite frankly, no one cares if you are the 20th highest poster, and, maybe somwhat hypocritically, it is your mini-moderation which is annoying most members here who claim to dislike you. You act like you are a senior member, even though in the eyes of most people here, you are quite new.

However, I am a little worried that this is going to turn into a hate topic. :-/

Spam is this:

The topic is about saying sorry, confessing for things you did wrong. Some guy posts:

I\'m sorry for wars.

Then he posts later, after someone else posts:

I\'m sorry for cancer.

And blah blah. (I know that was you but I\'m making an example here) You could have put all your \"witty\" sorries in one post, and it wouldn\'t have been spam. But the repeated posts are spam, and annoying.

And like all your Spiderman topics... You could have made a thread \"all about Spiderman\" and just posted all your thoughts into one thread, instead of making multi topics and cluttering the board.

Yes axl z you need to delete all of your spiderman stuff and put it all in ONE toipc plus I pm you about spamming and you said you wouldn\'t stop and I told doc about it and he is going to be watching you more so look out you could be the next banned member.

Anyways, maybe try what I do: before you post, if you feel like it will offend someone, don\'t post it (in most cases). It is fine to post:
\"I think Teen Titans has a horrible animation style. The overuse of anime expressions makes my eyes bleed.\" And go into more detail.
The following are worse posts:
\"I hate this show\"
\"I wish this ---- show would ---- out the ---- and ---- and then ----- its ----- ----- in a drain\"
\"I HATE THIS SHOW SO MUCH!!!1!\"

Another type of spam I see often is when one user posts their opinion, and another user follows it up to agree or disagree by simply saying \"yes\" or \"no\", or an equivalent. Posting this one simple word will not add to the conversation, and has therefore not contributed anything.

Besides all that, people really need to work on their spelling and grammar.
