I\'m not sure why you never hear from Signas throughout the game, but the reason you never hear from Douglas or Alia is because you are transfered to a new location by Redips at the beginning of the game, and after that, you lose contact with the base. It\'s understandable that thus, there is no way for either of those two to contact you efficiently.
I\'m not quite sure why Signas doesn\'t. It sort of seems like it would be within his boundaries of duty to do that.

InactiveI say that Signas gave control of that group to Redips for the duration of that mission. Why? Who knows? Maybe Signas actually wanted X to investigate Redips himself from the start... nah. But yeah, with Rebellion control of the tower in the beginning and all that junk the pulled later on, especially

I didn't mind not hearing from Alia and them, actually. Others didn't mind either. Heck, a bunch of fanfic writers got a number of other girls to pair X up with. I've seen a few X/Nana fics hiding out there.

InactiveOf all of the MegaMan X games released in the last few years, this is the only one WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY of you hearing "X-is that you", "X? Do you copy?", or "X!" from a navigator. Thank you so much Capcom, this game was awesome, and that just made it sweeter.

In any case, it helps to make you feel isolated, on a remote location. I think that it would have been nice to see one of the main support characters (Signas, Alia, Douglas, whoever else) either in the introduction, or during the ending, so that we'd know they were not merely forgotten.
