Okay, I did a few quick searches, and came up with NO results for this game. This strikes me as odd, since it comes out in America MONDAY(My birthday....How convenient! =D) This game has been highly reviewed before the DS's release, but slowly died down after. I, personally, cannot WAIT to get my hands on this game. I have wanted a classic MArio for a while now, and the 2-player co-op will make it so much sweeter. =3 Now, anyone care to talk about this highly overlooked game?

On another note...aparently a "Paper Mario" classic sidescroller will be released on the 'cube right before it's overdue death. Again, I'll probably buy this if the rumors are true, simply because classic Mario > All

Well I have it preordered and am just waiting for it to be released. Don't know much about it if anything, but it's sidescrolling Mario. It can't be bad.

I'm waiting for the game to come out before I rush to the stores. ;) I'll probably try to get it on next Friday. Stores are kind of slow to get the new games around here.

Heh =P I'll be out on the town all day on the fifteenth Mario shopping =D But it'll be the last game I get for a while due to a month-long vacation in June....better have some replay value, or else I may 'splode.

I got it this morning, and I am VERY pleased with the results. The graphics are unpixely, and since it IS a DS, thats a VERY good sign. It plays very similarly to other 2D Marios, with a toopa trooper disguise and a Mega Mushroom bonus. I've beaten the first World, and the boss castles are an interesting mix of puzzles.....The boss' play similar to the other games, with you and Bowser positioned ona bridge, and trying to get under him to destroy it. The only problem I have is that when running, Mario has a really bad habit of not stopping when he's SUPPOSED to stop. Toherwise, great.

I bet it's a cross between the classic mario games and Super Mario 64? Eh?

The character model for Mario and Luigi looks like a shrunken down version of the models for SM64 DS. Yes, there is a triple jump and a ground pound. So I guess you could say that, Smirnoff.

Yeah, Mario the king of videogames has a new sidescroller for the first time in 15 years (I think) and I have some n00b thinking it'll be "cheesy". Good lord.

Ok so I got this yesterday, I'm in world 7 right now, but I somehow skipped world 3 not sure how that happened. So let me give you a run down of what I've seen so far.

The game starts with the princess getting janked by Baby bowser(or bowswer Jr I can't tell them apart I swear..moving on) and that's where world 1-1 starts. everything runs super nice and the graphics are clean. I never had any problems with running and stoping on the dot, but I use a jump stop most the time. All the levels have a nice feel to them and they all seem to be different enough that you don't get sick of the same thing over and over again. Some people might think parts of the game are really hard because a lot of enemies are on screen, or the gound moves a whole lot, but I have over 70 extra lives right now so I don't think I will ever know what game over is like.

it has a VS mode that I've not had a chance to test out yet and some fun minigames(too bad most are on Mario 64). Over all I think it's a good wat to make a come back in to the 2D world. I know this is a crummy rundown but I wanted it to be short enough that people would read it with out wanting to skip it :P

...lawlz, I still skipped it Ryouga.

But Bowser Jr. = beady black eyes, ponytail, smaller. Bowser = red eyes (well pupils anyways), red "mane", bigger.

^ World 3 is an extra world, as is World 7. You get to World 3 by completing 3-Castle as Mini-Mushroom-Mario.

Lol, I was a fool, then. I saved all my mega mushrooms till the final boss of the world and killed 'em with one hit (well, except the first one. Classic Mario Boss= Fair play XP) Maybe now I'll go over them again as Mini Mario XP

I've started playing the game, and it does happen to be fun. When I reached the first castle, heard the music, looked at the graphics and saw the big grey moving blocks, I thought: "That's it, this is indeed a true Super Mario Bros game". I'm at the beginning of World 3 now, still discovering things. I think that my favorite addition is the ground pound: it's fun for stopping and breaking blocks from above! It's a move that works really well in a 2D game like this one.

I only wish the game had higher difficulty; challenge was a stickler in Super Mario Bros 3 and others, and here, it's just a tad lacking.

See Zal I didn't know if it was the fact the game was not that hard of if I was just really good because in the weeks before NSMB came out I beat mario 1,2(japanese),and 3 so I felt like I could not be stoped, I have almost 100 extra men and I did it without cheating, I think I only died 2 times so far in the game

I've been letting my brother play the game itself, and I've been playing the minigames.

I got 302 on that "find the face in the crowd" game.
