This is a FOX interview of the daughter of Fred Phelps Sr.
If you don't know who he is, he is a crazy minister who started a Baptist church that travels around the country protesting at the funerals of homosexuals, recently, however, they have also been protesting at the funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq, holding signs like "God hates fags" and "Thank God for 9/11".

Personally, I do not support the life style of homosexuality, but I believe that whatever goes on in people's homes is none of business, it is God's judgement, when we die, to deem us worthy of entering Heaven, not these bastards. They don't just need to be shot, they need to have things done to them that many countries have already counted as illegal.

What they are doing is not right. If you meant 'deserve to be shot' as in 'they deserve punishment' then yes, I agree with you.

Look him up on Wikipedia. Read about him. Then you will know.

Actually, I had a class on Effective Witnessing at my Christian Bible camp, Centrifuge, that I attended a week or two ago. In this class, we discussed this topic and other such similar examples and talked about exactly why these people are such bad Christian examples. Their actions are entirely immoral, simply by virtue of respecting the dead, or specifically, the families of the dead. It's unpatriotic. It's just not the time to try to promote their agenda. Really, there's a lot to be said about the guys. But I'll leave that for others to say.

They don't deserve to be tortured though, in my opinion. Torture is, uh, bad.

Know what I think? I think Fred Phelps is gay, and he's so embarassed by being gay, that he has to project his hate onto other people. Seriously though... 90% of his group is made up of relatives.. He enjoys being in control of his own little 'nation'... He's not much more than a power slut, really.

On a personal note, my mom and uncle (both very Christian) went to an Elton John concert, and Fred and his zombies were protesting outside. My uncle yelled "God loves EVERYONE" to them. Their mature, proof-filled, and earthshatteringly revealing response? .... "fuck you".

I, too, am a Christian with my own solid beliefs, but what these people are spewing is just sick. I believe homosexuality is wrong... but what happened to, "hate the sin, love the sinner?" And since when is being patriotic unchristian? I hope someone protests and their funeral- in my opinion, these guys don't deserve a proper burial. e_e

You know what I think? I think -God- is an ideal. The real ideals, the true belief for me at least, is that this is all some sort of large struggle, one eternal moment, where someone asks "You wanna go yet?" And we continue to say "Ah, no, not yet." SO who cares? No one religion is right, no one group is good, no one group is bad, leave them the hell alone until they die. If you hate them so much, then take solace in the fact that they are dying...very...VERY...slowly.

Fred Phelps is pretty bad. I think that he just wants attention, though.

I agree with Smirn and Kagome here. It's their home life, if they wanna take the risk of going to hell then fine. Fred Phelps can be shot though.

See, people like this Fred guy make me wanna take a large, sharp steak knife and gut them with it. I also agree with Ri and Smirnoff. I don't mind gay people, as long as no guy tries to hook up with me, or even -touch- me, that would creep me out to the point of punching. What Fred is doing is wrong, and I'd like to piss on his grave at his funeral!

I decline to comment on the homophobia because most likely it'll lead into a rant where I call you all derogatory names for the hell of it.

But I do believe this Phelps guy needs to be buried upside down in a 6 foot cylindrical hole in the ground. And all his inbred relatives too.
