Well, what is it? Only Sigma from X1 - X8 counts - no Xtremes.

Mine? Tie. X7 and X8.

X7: He captured the idea of Sigma completely - a big, bulky, dark-colored body with a low voice, a bad attitude, and lots and lots of guns. He also gave a good fight, and his final form brought a challenge.

X8: What's cooler than fighting the lord of Mavericks in his own base like in X1? Also, he had millions of ways he won that battle, and even though they say he died, he didn't, obviously, due to many plot holes if that were the case. He gave a great fight, and, in hard mode, was just as hard as

From the games I've played (and reached Sigma on -_-) I'd say Kaiser Sigma was my favorite. The dramatic music helps, and let's face it: Sigma's head is basically a pea on a mountain of laser guns piled together. So it's got my vote.

Plus, who was expecting him to raise the lava at the last part the first time they beat him?!

X4 being my favorite X game, I like that form the best. Fighting both of his third forms was a challenge first go-round, and nothing says ownage like the big god-destroying gun he had-though the X7 Sigma was also cool with the excessive guns.

I loved Reaper Sigma in X4, and that big head thing of hist that you fight at the end of X5.

That raises one of my favorite parts in X5. The first boss is a head. I discovered that it was the detatched head of his giant battle body in X5.

Plus, in X8, you can get the Sigma Saber, which pwns!

I'd have to say my favorite versions of Sigma is his Kaiser form in X3 and his Viral form in X8. O.o Viral Sigma kinda reminds me of Skorne from the Gauntlet games.

Yeah, the second forms tend to be poor for me. X4 and X5 are tied-that Ultimate Sigma DOES look awesome. Normal Sigma gets an 9 now due to his awesome Maverick Hunter X redesign.

Well, yeah, those two incarnations of Sigma really showed him for the evil monster he is. While Ultimate Sigma was pretty awesome-looking, it looked more fitting for a commander, not a master of human and reploid genocide. I think the final forms of Sigma in X4 were kinda stupid-looking, despite how difficult it is to kill him.

Psh, the original was awesome. After that point he was just Godmoding.

X1:
Sigma - decent
Sigma Dogstatue - nice idea for a final boss. Reasonably rather difficult.
X2:
Wolverine Sigma - nice because he's one of the few forms that is relatively easy to beat without a special weapon.
Wire Frame Sigma - most annoying Sigma ever.
X3:
Shieldbearing Sigma - a rather difficult and uninteresting boss. Meh.
Kaiser Sigma - actually not as difficult as he hypes himself to be. Mainly just annoying, and has boring attack patterns. Bleh.
X4:
Reaper Sigma - OMG DINGDINGDINGDING CASTLEVANIA REFERENCE -- okay. It was a nice idea, but not the most consistent with the series's setting.
Multi-Sigma - the hell? Seriously.

And I'm going to go ahead and include the Xtreme forms.
Xtr1: same as X1.
Xtr2: If I recall correctly, his first form is the same as X2's first. His second form...
Super-Mambo-Tango-Foxtrot-Crazy-Attacks Sigma - The Most Annoying Boss Ever. More irritating than even battling X2's Wire Frame Sigma with only one heart tank, no energy tanks, and the X-buster only.

I hated the second form of Sigma in Xtreme 2 as well. I didn't even realize you needed to use Zero to damage the red part of him until a friend told me...<_<

I liked the X4 reaper form best; with and without the cloak. X4 was my favorite game, and I just liked the whole eerie mood of that Sigma fight. The scythe seems like a cool weapon for Sigma.

X4 may be the only Megaman game that I actually love at this point, with Command Mission as a surprise 2nd favorite. I know it's sad, but it's true.

It's so sad that I'm physically in pain, crying my eyes out.

The only Sigma that I DON'T like is X2 Sigma, both forms really... They were too easy.

Heck, Zero in X2 was harder to beat than Sigma.

Zero was nuts in X2..why did bits of the ground hurt X so much? Cheap alloy I guess. But Zero was fun to fight, and yes..the hardest boss in the game, in my opinion.

Of course, the normal special weapon for him does just fine...

i liked reaper sigma x4 and sigma giant robot in x5 these two cause so much damage especially sigma robot with his giant virus blocks i get some problems to defeatet them

x8 sigma is dificult by nature and x5 sigma is dificult bacuse these darn virus blocks cause too much damage

Sigma looking like the Grim Reaper was rather creepy, but really cool.

A half-dead rag-wearing freak of a Sigma kinda ruined the effect. You need a good combination of foe and battlefield for a great final boss battle. Reaper Sigma takes the cake there.

Have to disagree with you there, RisingD.; I say it takes foe, battlefield and situation for an effective last boss:

X8 Virus Sigma:

Boss Idea: Viral-looking form, cated in spikes and other freakishly sweet armor to produce a kind of warlord-ruler effect.

Battlefield: Smack dab in front of his throne - the first time I remember fighting Sigma in the X Series like this: not just his area, but his own ROOM! Don't mention X5, that wasn't his.

Situation: Sigma's anti-humanity plot is taking action right at that moment, and hard mode makes this cooler by
