Weird, I thought that it was 110 volts in Canada, and it's meant to be the same as in the US. Of course, there is a tolerance zone. It's not always directly on the supposed voltage because of various elements.

I'd say about 1/3 of the electrical things I own are three-pinned.
Three pins means it's grounded. Which means more safety. Usually dinky things just have two prongs.
Good to know that both my laptop and my amp are grounded, since I use those often and would hate to be electrocuted by them.
That would be pretty ironic, killed by your own computer...
