Shadow the Hedgehog (not a reeaaally bad game but surely could get better.)

let's see

-no guns. more Chaos Powers instead of weapons, like Chaos Spear, okay, it can be used in the secret boss fight, but that not enough.
-no hero or dark side,(most powerful evil being in the universe and eventually you save the world in the secret scene? FTW?!)
-a liiiiittle bit better graphics
-More Speeeeeeeed
-more levels OR no missions to get from one stage to the other.
-perhaps RPG elements, like choosing your skills (C. Blast C. Spear. C. Control) and mastering them


-AND A GODDAMN "WOKING" CAMERA

Sure, I've often thought that I could improve games in some ways. Often, it's only minor things, such as changing the key combo used to activate Zero's plunge of doom in X6, or have an option to disable or change the music on some menu screens. These might be minor irritants, but they often add up to make a game much less enjoyable than they should be. Bad design ideas, like MMBN4's strict tournament-oriented gameplay and random scenarios, don't make me thinking as much.

ZX could use more towns, more missions, and a bit deeper interconnection between areas.

X8 could use another secret boss for getting everything - or at least SOMETHING for it!

MMBN4 could have used longer scenarios in their tournaments (as well as longer tournaments) and the requirement to only beat the game ONCE.

MMBN5's Lib. Missions got stale fast, and could have used a better system.

MMBN6's final bosses were ridiculously easy. What a way to end a series...

Super Mario Sunshine was by far way too short - within 3 hours I knew who Shadow Mario was

New Super Mario Bros. was also way too short

Mario VS. DK 2 could allow a lighter limit on the number of gadgets in your custom stages.

MMX Collection could have less crazy requirements to unlock secrets, and more music tracks to unlock

Pokemon could make it so that elements didn't dictate the whole battle

And so much more...

Few people share my opinion on this, but I absolutely love the Liberation Missions. They were far more enjoyable than what previous games did: make you fight 3 / 5 / 10 / 20 virus battles in a row without stopping, several times in the same event. THAT was annoying.

As Hollow said, that's a Mario game. Go back to play the other Mario 2D platformers, and try to look at them evenly: they are short too, but the replay value is where it's at.
