I've been wondering about this for a while. They have a perfectly good reploid body that can fight, but even if they can't fix him, can't they study him to track the effects of teh Zero and Sigma Viruses? It's a whole lot of use for Capcom not to just chuck stuff away, if you get what I'm saying. I'd love to play as Gate as a secret character or someodd thing like that.

Oh, we know what happened to it.

Ri and Shadowfire stole it for their own nefarious schemes.

Capcom did not deserve Gate, and so we stole him for our... own use.

We have a reputation! YAY! Erm... yeah, Capcom sucks like that. Kinda like the way they unceremoniously offed the Guardians when they got tired of including them in the storyline.

Shad and I think it's feasible that Gate could be repaired and purged of the Maverick Virus, so that's what we always say happened in our RP's. A' course, he's pretty anti-social after that. ^^

I wish Capcom would follow up on their characters once in awhile. T_T Then we wouldn't have to guess.

Logic. Who needs it?

The two things I'd like Capcom to stop doing are:
1)Ditching characters that could make the storyline better, and
2)Making new characters out of the blue who don't contribute all too much, unless it is in a very odd, pasted-together kind of way. *points finger at Layer and Pallete*

Personally, I would have prefered Gate to be the new third playable character rather than Axl. Gate just seems like such a more interesting character. Plus he's not a stupid brat... That helps too.

Okay, Watcher, you rock out loud for that opinion. I soooo agree with you. Of course, Capcom would never do something so unpredictable and cool, but eh, we can dream, right?

Except whine until we play as Gate in X9. I swear, it would ROCK if you were invincible except for enemies destroying your attacks like in X6. But as long as he has hat cape and stuff, i'm okay.

But that will naver happen... *cries*

Gate teleports into hunterbase and kills Axl...permanatly. X and Zero thank him for destroying that stupid brat, and welcome Gate into the Maverick Hunters.

Ok...so maybe that's just my dream.

Hm... Gate could have the special ability to create his own awesome weapons. Since his a freakin' genius and all. X3 The gold armor would be like, his giga-attack or something.

Gate was asking the question. LOL I torture my family with that question, then tell the answer, wait for them to forget, and then ask it again.

I think Gate would fight Standardly in his Gold Armor, his basic attack being a normal buster. He'd have a special energy meter that would very slowly deplete, and could also be depleted by using those orbs. When it runs out, he'll morph back to purple and have to use just a weak buster until he either gets an energy capsule or waits and recovers himself.

Funny you say that, the Golden Armor is my favorite of them all. You might have guessed that by my avatar though.

I mean Gate's Golden armor he uses to fight you with in X6 after merging with Zero's DNA.

The X3 Golden Armor IS very nice, though.

Oh yea, I kinda forgot about that. I only played though X6 once... I need to go through it again sometime. (X6 is noways near my favorite of the series, hence why I only played it once.)

Gate's Golden Armor would need more tricks, though. It didn't really have any awesome attacks, so if Gate's playable, he needs some.

He had unlimited flight in that armor. >.> And iono about you, but I found the ability to make homing shots, gravity wells, turrets, and Nightmare-creating portals pretty sweet. Not to mention that portal slash attack of his.

Yeah, I have to say... I agree, that armor had plenty of tricks. X3; In fact, it could very easily be a bit of a godmod if you're not careful.

Screw that! He needs some super flashy attacks too. Hell, that's the whole point of the Giga Attack.

What would be more interesting, is having a team composed of Gate and Axl, in which Gate totally owns Axl with his superior knowledge and fighting skills.
