I was sitting here with nothing to do (and loving every second of it; man, I'm glad the semester is over), and I was thinking of the what seems like dozens of pointless spin-offs the various Mega Man series have. Do any of them ever have any impact on the storyline? Are the events of the games ever referenced in the numerical entries? I haven't picked up a Blue Bomber game in awhile and I'm just now playing through all of them again, so I'm asking everyone here. And I don't mean retroactive references (where an event is referenced and then a spin-off game is made about it). Anyone actually keep track of this?

MegaMan XTreme 2's Erasure Incident was referenced by Alia when she saw Isoc's dead body in MMX6.

Other than that, I don't think so.

Xtreme 1 and 2, and Command Mission, were confirmed official to the X storyline by Capcom. Just like Mega Man I through V were confirmed official to the Classic storyline by Capcom.

If you've never played Mega Man IV for Game Boy, you're missing out big time. It's a great...great game. Mega Man V for the Super Game Boy is almost as good as well. I very highly recommend them both.

I'm a Mega Man nut... I own them all, and have them in a lighted display case to boot.
(Excluding the Battlenetwork series...which I detest.)
