I'm afraid I'm not hugely knowledgeable about fish, but the betas I've had have survived perfectly fine in room-temperature water, or perhaps a little higher. I'm not sure, though, if the specific breed you got is the same as what I kept. I think your best bet would be to try to find a website describing specifics, or ask your local pet store- Mine's always been really good about telling me what I need to know about fish, when I kept them.

i own 4 betta fish right know. but i just buy bottled water for their tanks, which i clean every week... im not sure about pH, but they seem to be doing fine with their bottled water ^_^
