Creepy. :O

I did have a weird encounter with a ghost a long time ago, when I was in grade 1. At least, I think it was a ghost.

It was a regular morning before school, and we had this thing called day 100,(100th day of school) where you would find anything you had 100 of and bring it to class. So, being my typical procrastinating self, I left it until the morning before school and so, I was scavenging my room for Lego pieces, surely, I had at least 100 of them.

Anyways, as I was looking on my floor, I turned and looked under my bed. There, I found some weird clown thing that looked more like a marionette, something I had never seen before. I fell into a dream like state, where it felt like I was in the middle of sleeping. As I looked at the clown, it looked directly back at me. I tried slowly moving my head to shake myself out of this "dream", but as I was doing so, the clown was mimicing my movements. When I'd tilt my head, it would do the same at the same time. I tried to get up and leave but I felt heavy and weighed to the floor. I decided to remain still, maybe then the clown would stop moving itself. I was wrong. After a while of the two of us being completely still, just staring at each other, the clown began moving on it's own and it started crawling out from under the bed, this time it was moving much quicker. Just as it was about to reach my face, I felt my mom's hand grab my shoulder, tearing me away from this dream. She asked me what I was doing just kneeling there. At that point, I looked under the bed again, and the clown was gone.

I can't quite explain it, but that's how it was. I remember it well, because I remember that day, after the encounter.

It's not quite a ghost story, but man, was it messed up.

There was a banshee in my attic and a ghoul in my basement. We were always bitter rivals the three of us. They always threatened to conquer the world, but their plans were goofy and lacked a sinister evil that it would have needed. As such, I was easily able to thwart their plans, save for the occasion when they teamed up against me (whereupon it took me an additional 45 minutes to thwart said plans)

Eventually we were faced with another creature. A simple bat in my belfry had turned out to be a Vampire in my oatmeal. A terrible foe to be sure, with no endearing traits or bumbling inefficiency. He knew all of our secrets thanks to a bee in my bonnet that had gone unnoticed. He defeated me and left me for dead. Because of this, I was forced to flee into exile and learn an entirely new style of combat; One which he did not know--and was incidentally, more powerful.

Upon my return, I rescued my former enemies and we were forced to team up against the vampire whom we eventually defeated at a terrible cost. In order to prevent his return, I felt that I had no choice but to eat his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti.

So yeah. Fun times.

I could have. But there are times when one must simply open their mouths and not close them until things cease to pour out.

As an aside, why don't you believe me?

Shortly after my grandmother on my father's side passed away, I noticed strange sounds emanating from the former's house. She had been a recluse a few years leading to her death, partly due to depression from her husband's death, and partly due to an advanced stage of psychosis.

These events were particularly evident when I joined my father in cleaning out the house. It always stormed...and the creaking and moaning and moving objects unsettled anyone in the house.

Well, there happen to have died at least one person in my current home, in the room that used to be mine. That person happened to have died as a child through causes unknown to me. However, when I slept in that room, after I had woken up one night, it surely was at least ten years ago, I saw some kind of ghastly appearance, like an illuminating mist, floating around in the middle of my room, it's figure towering above me. It looked quite like a snowman, really, and nigh soundlessly it just floated through the wall next to my bed after several moments.

At least a year later, a cousin of mine slept in that very same room, which had by then become the guest room, and he claimed to have seen the very same thing, although upon my question "Did it look a bit like a snowman?", he answered "No, more like Santa."

Ever since that, I have never seen the thing before, seeing as how that room is now not mine anymore, but rather my youngest brother's. I now happily live in the attic, and none of the beings haunting that sacred place of darkness have ever dared show themselves to me.

Of course, it may just be that Santa was feeling rather hateful towards me because we didn't celebrate christmass with presents and turkey and all that stuff at the time. However, we have come to our senses, and now, Santa hops by every 24th of December to grab a bit of my grandmother's pudding.

Well, I have some stories... One is actually within the month.

Alright, so for the record I'm a skeptic when it comes to ghosts. So about a week and a half ago some swimmers from a town or two over ended up drowning in the lakem now here's the fun part, I live within walking distance of the beach (Lake Erie...>_<) and I have a habit of taking a morning run down the beach. Now usually I do this around 6 A.M., but I had insosmnia a few days ago (monday so three days) so I decided to go run out on the beach at 1 A.M. (Fun fact: the town curfew is at midnight). Now I can avoid police, but Spirits...no. I was right by where the bodies washed up and I literally felt the sand shake. I saw a kid a few years older than me standing there in a ghostly swimsuit. I ran like hell. The other body washed up about 100 feet from the 1st and another one appeared to me, so I did the next best escape route, climb up the rocks back to the street. Five minutes later I'm on the ground panting when I hear a scream. Turns out a friend of mine was walking home that same way when she saw something just like what I saw... Either way i'm spooked.

Next there's the story of the old Kramer house...now this is just weird. (Note: this is a local myth) So about 10 years after my town split into it's own unique town from our sister city, we had a few murders happen, allegedly. THis was early 50's ish and the town was thriving, when a few murders happened. Allegedly all the victims had the shape of a house carved into them, and it was a unique house, only one in the town. So the police stormed the house and the murderer confessed and allegedly jumped into the lake never to be heard from again. People say he haunts the house, but I'm still skeptical.

I found out from my land lord that my house is 116 years old.It was a stop for rail workers. Many have died there includeing a 6 foot tall man that died of cancer in the genrel area of were my room is.Also Aparently my house is called "The house of masks"apperantly a friend of the landlords father drove past the hose on his way to work.Alegadly he saw two white faced men at the top attic (we have 3)He ran in side with his own key ran up to the attac and found nothing in there except what looked like a footprint.I resently had two more ghost encounters the first I got a call from my room mate asking why I pulled of all the painting of the wall and and phone call from my house with no one answering.

It's said that sarcasm is a low, degenerate form of humour. Sour grapes, I say :P

Not so much sarcastic as facetious really, but I like to believe that there was just a touch of absurdity in there as well.
